Things were going well for Hari. Another in her position may have been tense because of just how well. Good and bad things came piled together, many said, and since the streak so far had not just been good, but perfect, for others it may have been call for concern. Hari didn't think so.
What she did think was that things went well because she was good. Good at what she did. What did she do? A lot of things. Including winning over this poor fellow now that her mother had been forced to take off. Whatever idiot had gotten themselves lost to drive her away, they had Hari's thanks.
From there, it was a matter of patience. Hari had done as Sen asked and went about beginning to clear the land. Moving twigs and pushing rocks; simple stuff. Every now and then, she'd be sure to steal an oh-so-innocent glance at Yue, making sure he noticed at least every other one.
Too easy.

It was weird with Sen gone. Like, almost to the fact that half of him was gone. It was true, you never seemed to realise just how much you missed something until it was gone. Stupid Sen.
Yue was left to his own devices, but he knew well enough that if he didn't do anything while Sen was gone, he'd hear it. So instead he snuck around, trying to help out Hari when he could to clear things, as well as make sure that the caves were empty of other animals. What if she came home with a lion or two? Or more? Then they would be in trouble.
He was taking a break under the shade of trees today, though, as he felt like he deserved a little break. And he was feeling a bit lazy, he would admit. It sure was quiet with just Mwokoti and Hari, though, with the loudmouth gone.

Having only spoken to her five minutes, Hari fully understood just how loud Sen was. That five minutes had actually been Sen speaking to her. Hari had barely gotten a word in. For some reason, she found herself liking Sen. Yue, too, even if wasn't as much as she was making it look like.
When the adolescent had finally stopped, Hari waited for a moment to make sure he was really taking a break before she smoothly made her way to him. As if personal space was a matter that she knew nothing of, she sat beside him. Right beside him.
"This place will be nice when we finish it."

Yue shifted a bit, almost uncomfortably. Why was she sitting so close? Were other girls always like that? He didn't know, but he tried to shake it off. He had to act 'cool'; he was an adult now, after all.
"Yeah, it will be," he mentioned, though he did take note of the 'we ' mentioned in there. "Though who knows how many we'll have to share it with." He didn't have much hopes in anyone coming. Mainly because it had been pretty empty for a while, and besides, who would find them all the way out here? Besides Hari, but she already knew about it.

"I suspect the family Mother intends to bring here is nicely sized." Hari was having a hard time gaguing how excited Yue was about the future pride. There was no question with Sen, but him? She couldn't tell if he was hoping there'd be few or many running around. "I'm sure you two will run things better than the previous owners."
The air became more... tense, for lack of a better word. Hari edged closer, which surprisingly was possible, and glanced sidelong at Yue. "You're a lot more handsome than the old male ruler."

"Oh?" he stated, not too pleaseantly either. The old owner? Just how old was she? Granted that he wasn't totally sure just when the pride had scattered, but still....it didn't sit with him well. Though nothing really sat with him well at the moment. Everything seemed to fit together just a bit too nicely. Perhaps he was just overreacting though; he used to do that even when he was a kid, assuming the worst out of everything unless you did everything perfectly. Not that it ever gave him much, but still, it was something of a habit.
"Well, such a compliment." He accepted the comment, but didn't think too much of it. His pelt colour still bothered him, even though Sen didn't seem to venomous about it as she was when they were cubs. He still didn't like the colour, though at least he seemed to 'fit in' a bit more with the few rogues he met along. Not everyone matched their family perfectly, he decided.
"And Mwokoti is bringing a whole family?" Something that had passed his mind. Well, it would get loud around here. Hopefully not like the Pride Lands though.

Hari ignored the frustration that was piling up in her stomach. What was this guy, gay? That was the only reasonable explanation for it. She'd never had this much trouble with males before. "Yes." The answer was slow and steady.
They weren't going to get anywhere talking about a stupid family. Damn.
"Are you angry with me for something?" If all else fails, try the damsel in distress route. "I wouldn't want you to dislike me when the pride hasn't even been completely rebuilt yet."

"Huh?" That was a question that her certainly wasn't expecting. What did he do to upset her? He didn't think he was acting mean at all. Maybe...a bit cautious? Perhaps that was a bit too mean, though. He was a bit cautious since he didn't want anything to mess up, or else he'd get it from Sen.
"Um, no. I'm not angry at all," he said with a bit of surprise. "I guess I just don't quite understand what I'm getting into. I guess since it's really only you and me here." Not that he meant it in that way. He was just stating the truth. Really.

Alright, he wasn't gay, just stupid. Very stupid.
"Oh..." In what appeared resemble a nervous twitch, she moved her front paws, placing one in front of the other, then the other in front of that one, and repeat. It was cute. "I didn't want you too dislike me. Because..."
Just a little. bit. closer. "I'm really glad it's only us."
And no matter how stupid Hari thought Yue was, or how dense on the matter he really was, there was no way he couldn't pick it up that Hari meant it that way.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh.
What the heck was she doing? Was she? .....Was she?! OHGODOHGODOHGODWHATDOIDO.
And so was the madness that was rampaging through Yue's mind. He wasn't stupid enough to not be able to tell when someone was puttin' the moves, you could say, but he'd (obviously) never got there, and had no idea what to do. At all.
"R-really?" he said shakily with a grin. "M-me too." Heh.
Oh man, he probably shouldn't screw this up. But a piece of him was thinking what the hell would happen when Mwokoti and Sen found out. He would be in so much trouble, and he could actually see himself being stripped of all his fur and being chased out to die by vulture, or something. He would be dead.
But wait. Juuuust wait.
Who said that they would have to find out? Granted, he'd have to learn how to get tricky reeeally quickly, but he could pull it off. If he thought about it enough, confidence would build up and they would never know. Nope. Nooope, he'd be in the green.

Hari smiled at him. "Yes, really." As she made the daring leap to lean on him in an affectionate way, she couldn't help but feel her stomach drop. This plan was going to make her sick. Bleh.
"I don't think we should tell them." It would appear she was reading his mind. She wasn't. Hari didn't really know Sen well enough to know how she'd react, nor did she know Mwokoti's real relationship with Yue. Was it strong enough she'd advise him to stay away from her? "Secrets are... romantic."

Romantic? Secrets were secrets to Yue, romantic or not.
He did feel himself flush a bit when she leaned on him, though Not that he would really know when to not act all stupid, but hey, he was...learning. Really fast. Maybe. He still tightened a bit at first after the inital flush, but told himself to relax or else he'd screw it up. Badly.
"No, not at all," he said a bit harshly, obviously overriding her 'think' with something more like a 'do not'. Ever. He'd be happy with that. Hopefully Sen would be too busy with her silly queenly duties to really pay attention to him, especially with new members joining soon.
"Especially Sen."

What was his problem? 'Especially Sen'? Why especially Sen? Sen wasn't the one of the two of them that could kill. Or curse. Some of the God's curses were worse than death.
She'd have no time to ask him. Not right now. She could only be thankful she'd had this much time, and, in truth, was all too happy to scurry away from Yue at the sight of the air-born spec in the distance.
By time Mwokoti landed, she was back to 'cleaning', hoping desperately Yue didn't look unnerved enough to prompt any suspicion. "Did you find who needed your help?"
"I did." The Goddess looked around. "You two work slowly."

Yue was a bit surprised at the sudden scurrying of Hari, as he didn't realize that Mwokoti was coming until she was here. Oops.
Yue grumbled about the term that they worked slowly. Hell, at least they were working!! Sen was just busy making herself feel all important, nothing else.
He groaned a bit before giving his half-grown mane a shake, gearing up to get back to work. "I'm working, I'm working! This stuff ain't easy to move, Mwokoti," he complained, glaring at all the stupid little branches and the amount of caves that those branches were in front of. They helped him keep track of where he had worked, but sometimes it felt like he wasn't getting anywhere, since it was all just one big lump of pain.
Hopefully he wouldn't find more dead things in there. At least they wer emostly birds and stuff.

Mwokoti shifted Yue's way. Not more than a matter of months ago she couldn't of imagined smirking like she was now. Knowingly at that. "Are you getting hasty because Sen's gone?" She'd always hoped her daughter and son would get along (which they didn't). On one level, though, she was sort of glad they didn't get along the way Sen and Yue did. Juuust a little too well sometimes. "She is working too, you know."
Sort of. Going to go their parents may not be classified as 'work' to anyone. Mwokoti felt it a great idea, and very cute, since she'd said it was a surprise for Yue. Was he close to his parents before they'd left? Neither of them had talked about them too much.
