I have seen the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion over the early spring of this year and I was completely blown away; it was like nothing I had seen before. So, I was wondering, what do you think about the show?

I'm interested to see what you think of the following questions:

Why do you like/ not like Evangelion?

What did you think about the psychological aspect of the show?

Are you looking forward to the US release of Rebuild of Evangelion?

What does The End of Evangelion mean to you?

Has the show influenced you in your decisions of watching other anime?

Why do you like/ not like Evangelion? i like it because it actually engages your mind. unlike some animes which is name being taken and butts being kicked you think about eva for long after it'sw done

What did you think about the psychological aspect of the show? it's designed so no 2 people see it the same way, which is quite an accomplishment.

Are you looking forward to the US release of Rebuild of Evangelion? more than you know.

What does The End of Evangelion mean to you? A representation of the human conflict of acceptance vs. individuality

Has the show influenced you in your decisions of watching other anime? i was already an anime fan when i saw it, so not really.

I liked the fact that Evagelion allowed me to view it as I saw fit; making the macro and micro play so well together in the world, like the real one.

Sheer Genius.

I didn't know about it so no.

The End of Evagelion shows the that the Macro and Micro are both important; you are intergral, even if not overtly, to the universe. No one is too small, too unimportant, too worthless and yet in the end the Macro is nothing but illusion nd when the dust settles only the Micro remains.

Not particularly though for some time I did want to watch Akira; a movie I kind of regretted.

to put it simply
I am a huge mecha fan
but Evangelion is the second best anime there is (after Gundam since I really love that anime) it can almost be the no.1 but I am biased to Gundam

anyway if there are other seasons of the anime I sure as hell want them on DVD

and I am an anime fan so watching any anime is what I want but Evangelion is one for the times

What did you think about the psychological aspect of the show?
Second viewing onward, was interesting and intriguing

Are you looking forward to the US release of Rebuild of Evangelion?
To put it mildly...

What does The End of Evangelion mean to you?
It's a much better ending than the final bit of ep26, while still having lots of mindbending goodness

Has the show influenced you in your decisions of watching other anime?
It was my first anime (other than Pokémon :p), watching EoE first, having first had 8 bottles of Becks xd

Why do you like/ not like Evangelion?
I Like the whole story line...i think is one of a kind and very original... biggrin

What did you think about the psychological aspect of the show?
I loved it...most anime isnt blamed for suicides in the US...this one was...and i think that if it has that kinda pull in the minds of the christian churches makes it interesting to a mind like mine...hahaha...and the fact that Shinji builds himself up to only be torn down is very interesting from my view point...(i think this makes me sound mean sad ...)

Are you looking forward to the US release of Rebuild of Evangelion?
Very much so ^_^

What does The End of Evangelion mean to you?
It means its the end of the series...hahaha...and it shows how easy it is for someone in that state to snap...

Has the show influenced you in your decisions of watching other anime?
Im always looking for something this weird and intertaining...but never find it...i stopped watching a lot of anime because of it...and havent looked back since...

I saw it almost in a role, so, when i finish it, I got take shower. I just remember: Myself under the shower, my head on the wall facing it... the water hitting me... 45 minutes passed... I was on the same position...

No, I`m from Brazil. Is this release a sequel or the Iron maiden version?

What does The End of Evangelion mean to you?
It means that you are what you do.. That is what metters... Somehow it is kinda hopeful, I mean, Shinji-kun showed it by some actions... and also by his humanity.

Why do you like/ not like Evangelion?

Evangelion takes a step towards the more interpretive sides of things, and really, really shines through with a beautiful plot and interesting characters. It's hard not to love, really, mostly because it's so genius.

What did you think about the psychological aspect of the show?

I think that without those aspects, the show would have been just another show gone out to the weaboos. However, because of the deep psychological linings in almost every aspect of the show, I can truly say it is one of the most beautifully written and executed animes regarding psychological/theological interpretive thinking.

Are you looking forward to the US release of Rebuild of Evangelion?

* Scratches head * I don't know.

What does The End of Evangelion mean to you?

I'd have to re watch it, because I guarantee you it would be different than the last time I watched it. Which exact end are you talking about, anyway? There are two.

Has the show influenced you in your decisions of watching other anime?

Yes. Immensely. I dated a girl two years ago who was obsessed with Naruto and everything else that weaboo children love nowadays, and it was while I was with her that I realized just how idiotic most anime is. Seriously, I can't watch an anime that has more than maybe 30 episodes anymore--mostly because it's guaranteed to be idiotic. Maybe it's directed at a different audience, but whatever. . .in anycase.

Put simply, yes. Yes it has. Because of Evangelion I now seek out anime that can claim the title of being interpretive and of some sort of deeper value. Boogiepop Phantom and Ergo Proxy are two others that I've found because of my love of Evangelion. I truly can't stand to watch any of the annoying, meaningless babble that is called anime by weaboos anymore.

Salaam~
