Ok, now that Square Enix has broadened their interest in Nintendo (and GAMES for once instead of CG), I think their next generation plans are going through the roof. Here's the skinny:

-They're developing Mario Basketball, and while I'm not sure if it will get rave reviews it looks promising especially with online play.
-Yuji Hori is very interested in the Revolution controller. He recently expressed his opinion at a London conference.
-FF III for DS is going to rock, period. Its touch screen use and 3D graphics (well, both quasi and real-time) make it look like one of the best games for the system and I'm getting it no matter what.
-FF IV for GBA is great, so FF V and VI for GBA is a good sign as well. I just love classic rereleases with extra stuff.

As always, I'll update this as soon as possible.

Square Enix tripped the day the first Final Fantasy game was released for the PS1.

And they still havn't gotten back up, People are still trampling on them. And Sony is there pinning them down so they can't move.

FFIII on the DS? I'm not complaining.

And as long as we get another Tales game, Squeenix can keep their damn business.

Jesus christ pinapple parsley pops, you need to stop hating on things.

I'll be the first in line to say Square hasn't come up with anything all that great in ages (that wasn't directly sequel material anyway), but holy crap, you hate Sony like I hate spinach. Only you're on a rampage.
And you sound like a fan girl.
Granted, I guess there's bound to be fan[sexes] abroad in this guild, but I would have assummed the reason for the guild isn't to hate on other systems, but to defend Nintendo, and the people who hate it for idiotic reasons.
Talk about other systems like that, and you might as well not even bother.

As far as I'm concerned, there are no enemies in gaming. Companies have competition, and that isn't going to change. Unless god grants my wish and Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft team up and make a god system, which will enslave us all with it's power and glory.

Anyway, back to topic.
Square made it's choice, deal with it. There's nothing you can do about it. If you want RPG's that bad, either play TOS non stop forever, or suck it up and buy a Playstation.

Also, the-magicbox.com reports the Square is working on the Mana (Seiken Densetsu) series now, and is planning on creating games in that series for every system around.
But I guess we'll see where that goes.

Well I did play FFX and I liked it, and was planning on getting a PS2, but I don't really know what to use for it other than FFXII (sorry, but GTA just doesn't cut it for me....)

Im a PS2 owner and use to love Square... Now that their "Square Enix" they kinda suck. They rewined too many titles(Brave Fencer Musashi, Final Fantasy Tactics) and their shure to rewin others(FF7, FFCC)

Squares always done this though, they used to make a lot of games for Nintendo cause they "wowed" everyone with the NES. Then the PS came out and "wowed" square two, if you look Square does have a trend with which companies they go for. For all we know they could drop Sony and go to Microsoft or back to Nintendo, but I don't believe that Sony is in control of them or has a "tight leash" on them.

from what I remember, sony bought a percentage of squares shares and has a vote on the board(which is cheap and screws us, the gamers), sony is keeping a tight leash, sony is using shady methods and dirty tactics and the only games popular for them are pro-crime, I can understand the hate against sony because they've been in some legal battles they've tried to cover up. Microsoft has been in some trouble too with consumer report at a pretty harsh low with customers being dissatisfied with the result of the xbox360, 360 my butt, it isnt even a 180. SE has sunk pretty low with re-releasing FF1 on playstation and is burned for it.

I hope the next Seiken Densetsu games are nintendo exclusive, a class system like in SD3, pick a class, and class change to a stronger one with better moves, even cinematic ones, I loved the Split Image Slice of the Night Blade. ^_^

Wow....did I make this before SE's announcement for a DS game blowout? Yeah, I can't believe this thread is still going on......

beleive it Ayukichan, the thread still lives.

BOT: FF3 IMHO would be good on the GBASP, but with the whole touch screen and other stuff, I guess it was innevitable. if they make a DS/GB player device for the Revolution it'll make the TV function like the GBA or the DS(depending on the game programming base, single or dual screens), and would enabel the stylus function and control... talk about extreme convenience, instead of grabbing the stylus every time you need to pick something up and skipping a turn or something, use the infared eye to pick your item and still have control over the game... oh s**t! oh snap! and other such reactions that come to mind I cant say right now! I can see the innovation and convenience in the Revolutions release! *stares at Nintendo Logo with glittery eyes*

I see. Well in that case I'm keeping it updated. xd

Yes, a DS emulator for Revolution would make sense, provided you find a way to use two screens. In this case you might either have to a.) play with 2 TV's and not just one or b.) obstruct the view of one screen with another. Sorry, but it just might not be possible unless you somehow get both screens to be used on one TV..... sweatdrop
