A yellow lioness lay idle in her den, snoozing. Her tail flicked lightly as she stretched herself. Yawning loudly, she peered her eyes open and then sat up. Hearing voices outside, she stood and padded lightly to the den's opening. The quietness of the den made her happy. Five little cubs were quite the hand full, but they were out having fun for the time being. ... Thank god. Her blue eyes opened to the daylight, as she saw two blue figures standing outside the opening of her den. A smile graced her maw as she approached them. "So, I see you've come all this way ... ... Baharikoa."
The blue lioness and her friend were traveling only for a short distance before they approached the entrance to the den. Ears folded back, she peered into the silent opening with caution. "I hope this is her den ... its quite silent. Wahabu said there was five cubs ..." Kipofu simply followed her lead, before plopping his butt down on the soft ground. "Well, i'll sit here and wait until you tell me where to go ... since I can't see." He sighed, and tilted his head towards the ground. Baharikoa saw a yellow figure come out, and she instantly recognized who it was. She walked over and smiled. "Oh sister, is that you? How have you been, Miamba?"
"Oh good, you still recognize me, too. Its been many years, Bahari. How about you come inside and we can chat?" She led the pair of blue lions into her den, and then she went to a corner and sat herself down. "Please, please. Find a comfortable spot and sit down." She smiled with happiness and then went on to question Bahari. "So, whose your friend?"
Baharikoa went on to explain things to her. "Yes, it has been years ..." She laughed lightly, and then frowned at the mention of her friend beside her. "This is Kipofukakita'Maji, and he is a very good friend of mine. I'm helping him out. Hes completely blind, and I've been aiding him in traveling the world. Both of us are traveling the lands together."
Kipofukakita simple bowed towards Miamba's voice and smiled. "Its nice to meet you, Miamba. I've heard great things about you. And while I cannot see you, simply hearing your soft voice is enough for me. I'm not too picky. I'm just a handicap lion trying to survive in a world fit for the seeing."
Miamba widened her eyes as she heard the story. "Oh my ... thats so horrible. Bless you, Kipofukakita'Maji. If anything, you are one of the only lions in this world that deserves to have sight returned to yourself. You clearly have a heart of gold." She looked to Bahari and smiled. "So, where have your travels taken you both?"
Baharikoa smiled back at the mention of traveling. "Well, we met in the rouge lands not too long ago, and we just happened to be passing the pride lands. I insisted on coming here to see you, since I had word that you settled down here back when you were younger. Besides that, we haven't been much of anywhere else. I've been trying to hear word of Mizu ... but, I haven't found a trace of him anywhere."
Kip was lost in the conversation, but when Miamba mentioned him having a heart of gold, he smiled on the inside and out. "Thank you, Miamba. Even from just listening to you now, you sound like you have a heart of gold, yourself. A respected lioness of her pride, i'm certain." He quieted himself down, and listened to their conversation for now. He nothing more to say, since he couldn't see or anything. He didn't know too much about Bahari, anyways.
Miamba's eyes widened at the mention of Mizu. "Good lord, I haven't heard that name in a ... very, very long time." Her ears folded back with worry. "Do you think hes still alive, sister? I mean ... its not like we know too much about him. He did abandon us when were were younger. Not that he had a choice. Two cubs and no mother to help him out. It must've been stressful on him. Though, it was his responsibility ... but still, I would like to see him face to face sometime."
Bahari nodded lightly. "I think he is. I can sense it ... I know he's out there somewhere, Miamba." She sighed as her sister continued talking. It really was hard to search for a lion they really didn't know too much about. Besides name, they could barely recall what Mizu even looked like. It would be hard to find him, but thankfully Bahari wasn't in any rush. "But no worries sister, i'm sure Kip and I will find him sooner or later. We will be traveling the lands forever until we find him."
