Noah sat at the edge of the deep pond where the waterfall emptied out into and washed his face with the cool spring water. The gusts of wind which pounded across the area sent a chill down his spine as he glanced down at his blurry reflection. Small clouds floated out of his mouth as he breathed calmly that evening.
He didn’t often spend nights outdoors like this, but he needed to clean himself. He smelt terrible the past week after he started his daily hikes up the big hill. Ever since he had the random urge to grow stronger in order to impress more Senrei, he started hiking up the hill to build his muscles.
Although the water was cold, it felt good to be cleaning the sweat and dirt off his feathers. If he waited any longer to bathe, then he would have probably got sick off himself. Noah sighed as he dipped his back paws into the pond and listened to the roaring falls.

Theodore walked through the forest in search of water. His mouth was dry as a desert and felt like one too. He walked to the nearest one he knew of, hoping it was clear of others he pressed onward. He didn't feel like chit-chat tonight, unless that is, if a female was there. Then thats a whole other ball game.
Theodore paddled into the moon lite opening and saw a male there. "Great." He grunted to him self and rolled his eyes. Figures luck would fail him now. He paddled over to the ponds edge, away from the male and bent down for a drink.

He turned, glancing at an approaching Senrei. Smiling, he waved at him warmly with his tail. Company was always wecome, since being alone was one of his peeves. As he opened his mouth to greet him, he noticed the male roll his eyes at him, and walk to the other side of the water.
Disturbed, Noah growled and turned away from the stranger. He didn't need him. He had a lot more friends, didn't he? The yellow Senrei shrugged, and continued to bathe, but he couldn't help to turn once and awhile at the stranger. When he could take it no longer, he turned back around and eyed the purple-feathered Senrei.
"What did I do?!" he hissed angrily. He didn't like it when someone was annoyed at him, especially for no real reason.

Caleb woke up and extended his front legs in a long stretch. Noticing it was now evening, he realised he must have fallen asleep at the edge of the pond after filling himself with water.
His attention was caught by what looked like an adult cleaning himself in the pond. He was about to bounce over and introduce himself when another grown-up wandered to the water's edge. Looking at the new arrival, Caleb's wings flapped happily, it was Theodore, he recognized him from their conversation before!
Torn between his eagerness to go over to Theo and his excitement to meet someone new, he didn't know which way to turn. He circled in frustration until the stranger yelled out something, causing Caleb to freeze in his tracks for a moment. Then, as it usually did, his curiousity got the better of him and he slowly began making his way toward the unknown Senrei, trying to get a better look at what was happening.

"Absolutely nothing so don't go getting testy on me." Theodore said in a bored voice. He had no time for insecure babies, and this Senrei sounded like he might be one of them, but the jury was still out on that one. He closed his blue eyes and lapped up the water. When he opened them he saw a small lime green and orange babe wad into the pond. He recognized him as Caleb the small hyper kiddo from before. "Kiddo stop where you are! unless you can swim that is." The pond was way to deep in the dictation his was heading.

Caleb let out a little squeak, but didn't move an inch. His inexperience had almost gotten him in some big trouble this time. His eyes grew wide as he looked from Theo down into the water in front of him. Just a tiny bit ahead, the bottom seemed to disappear into the depths of the pond. Taking a second to fully grasp what had almost happened, it him like a truck and being only a little guy, completely overwhelmed him. Caleb's eyes welled up, his face trembled, and then...out came wails at the top of his lungs as tears poured down his face.

"AH!" Theodore jumped up and looked around, wings stretch out wide. He thought it was some sort of attack at first. He relaxed when he looked up to see it was just Caleb, "what is it!?" He asked started to walk his way over to the little guy.

Theodore wasn't one for kids but the little guy really needed help. "Hey little man it's ok, calm down, your fine. Nothing happened." He smiled down to him when he got next to him. He lowered a wing so Caleb was between it and Theo front legs. "Let just go up on the shore and get something to eat. Ok?"

Kohana decided that today she would have to do something besides take up space on the beach. The past few days have been filled with nothing but sleeping, eating, and more sleeping; a truly boring routine.
Despite the disappointments of her first trip to the waterfalls, Kohana decided she would give them another chance. Afterall, there was bound to be some interest scene to behold. Besides, she was rather bored of swimming in the ocean. The saltwater was really too much for her. Even the smallest taste was absolutely unbearable.
Plans set, Kohana skipped towards the forest and the trail which lead to the waterfalls. As she approached the rushing water, a quarrel could barely be heard over the loud roah of the falls. But it was enough to attrach her attention. Upon entering the clearing which held the pond behind the waterfalls, Kohana noticed two familiar faces and one small, new face. Her eyes where first drawn to Noah, who was bathing in the pond. Then they drifted to Theodore, who was standing near the edge of the water. They appeared to be the cause of the quarrel, but Kohana ignored that heavy mood and spoke shyly, "Noah! It's nice to see you."

Caleb leaned his head against him for a minute as he slowly calmed down. He felt safe under Theo's wing and began to forget what he was upset about. Taking a last few sniffles, he looked up at him and nodded. "Okay, let's go." After a moment's pause a little voice gave Theo a "Thank you."

Theodore looked down to the one that gave the small thank you. He simple smiled back warmly and walked with the little one back to the shore line. He hear another voice, it was Kohana but she wasn't talking to him, she didn't seem to even notice that he was there. Theo just shook his head at him self, now wasn't the time for girls and he knew that. He told Caleb he would help him and so he would. "So little man what do you want to eat?"

Noah was tired, and he didn't have the urge to go argue with the other Senrei. He walked into the deeper ends of the water until he was neck-deep in the refreshing falls. As he began to close his weary amber-colored eyes, he heard a familiar voice chime inside his head. It seemed to sound like Kohana, the lovely Senrei he had met for the first time not so long back. He turned his dampened face towards shore seeing the brilliantly colored Senrei he had adored so much earlier.
"Kohana!" he hollered, his heart jumping with happiness. A smile appeared across his face. He wadded back to the shore and towards Kohana. "It's fancy meeting you here. It seems forever since we've saw each other!" he said jumping onto the surface and began to hugg his friend tightly.

"It is! Lucky I found you. These days have been a bore." Kohana chirped, giving Noah a tight squeeze. She felt a tad embarrassed for her now squeelish mood and behavior; but Noah had left a big impression on her. After the hug she shook her body and wings to get rid of the water that now clung to her. However, Kohana couldn't ingore the feeling of regret she was having from not saying hello to Theodore. Afterall, he was her friend too.
Glancing around, Kohana saw where Theodore was talking to a baby senrei. She hasn't met very many youngens, so the cuteness of the little one made her smile grow even larger (if that was possible!). "I could go for a little snack myself. Why don't we go with them?" Kohana asked Noah. She felt bad for asking him to hang out with someone he was just arguing with, but Noah also had a very good heart. Kohana had no doubt he could let that incident slide.
