A whimper of a creature breaks the silence of the autumn night, followed by the disturbance of leaves. It has finally chosen to seek a companion...

Welcome to the Werewolf Jokoa` RP contest! This event is part of the (very late) Halloween event, but never late then never eh?

The prize is the lovely feral Were-ulaya in the first post, colored by Ron. He has two forms, a normal and a Were. Thus, he's not going to be given away by any normal means. Nope! That's why this RP contest is here for. And best of all, it's completely free!

DEADLINE NOVEMBER 28!

~Also, no complaining about how long it takes for the entries to be judged. Again, they will be amazing, and the judges will have a tough time.

Were-Ulaya name: Kae
Why did you choose that name?: Its Japanese for Change
Notes: Umm…it’ll be my first second Ulaya if I win? XD
Prompt number: 1

Response: “So, you want to know of my life? Keh, may as well tell you since you’re so interested. So stop yer yappin’ already, alright? Now ya might want ta get all comfy-like, it’s a long tale.”

A young ebony kit dashed through the dense, dark forest. The full blue harvest moon was above him, and the crunching crimson and gold below. Golden orbs swiftly looked in both directions, before the kit took off on a different trail.

They had come for him. After so many years, they were coming. The beasts that prowled at night, seeking flesh, blood, and bone. They filled the night with terrible howls. Howls that sounded like they were from Hell itself. Howls that could only be obtained by one creature. The Were-Ulaya.

An explosion of leaves startled the kit, and sickening yellow eyes met his pale yellow ones. The kit let out a shriek of fear, and attempted to escape. However, one of those claws caught his tail, and he was dragged to the demon. He cried for help, but none came. Just a blood lusting howl, and an accompanying laughter. Red stained teeth found the young kit’s neck. And then, sheer darkness.

The kit found himself in a cave, with two adults hovering above him. “That bite…it looks to be of a Were-Ulaya.” Came a worried, trembling female voice. “I-I can’t believe this. How could they? We made a truce with them.” Whispered a furious male voice. “Oh God Nate, our son.” Cried the female, hot tears falling onto the kit’s neck. “I’m sorry Mercy, we just couldn’t make it in time. We…have to exile him.”

“No Nate! Not our only son!”

“I’m sorry Mercy, but it must be done. Otherwise, we’ll all be turned into one of…them.” Nate’s voice came harsh, yet saddened, and trembling.

“We…we’ll tell the others he was killed. And then we’ll send him off.”

“Oh Nate…” Mercy wailed, her head onto he mate’s shoulder. Tears drenched his fur, and tears appeared in his eyes.

“I’m sorry Mercy, but what’s done is done. There is no cure for it.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sun slowly down went down, its reds and golds and pinks lingering in the sky. A small stone, with a crude cross, lay upon a small mound of dirt. It was their sons’ grave. The son of Nate and Mercy. Upon the cross was an inscription. “Here lies Kae, a young soul stolen by demons.”
But Kae was not truly dead. No, in fact, his silhouette could be seen walking away from the ‘grave’. However, he was changed. The bite not only gave him lycanism, it gave him markings. Markings of an outcast. An his paws were those markings. He turned his head once more to see the grave, and tears flooded down his face. How could mother and father do this to him? Their only son? Exile from the family, the ultimate form of disgrace.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The full moon was out again, and the Ebony adult was stalking the night with his fellows. They called to each other, howling into the night. A sound that used to frighten him, now gave him comfort. His eyes met eyes that tormented him, but now those very same eyes gave him fortitude.

He could smell them now, the ones that had brought shame upon him long ago. He growled lowly, eyes narowing, and curved claws unsheathing. Tonight, he would pay back the pain tenfold.

He silently stalked up to the cave’s mouth, sniffing and growling. His hackles were now barred, showing his blood-stained teeth. Sickening yellow eyes stared into the cave, awaiting for one of the fools to come out.

Then, from the depths, came a female, promptly followed by a male. But what was this? A kit on his back? How dare they! They exiled him, and had a new son. The father, humming a lullaby to his newborn son, tensed up.

“Mercy, take the boy and run.”

“Why dear?”

“He’s back.” Nate whispered harshly. His eyes narrowed, and spotted his long-lost son.

“Kae…you’re back. And it seems you’ve brought friends along.”

“SHUT UP!” Yelled Kae, eyes seeming to explode with rage. “How could you?!”

“How could I what?”

“Have another one. YOU’VE COMPLETLEY FORGOTTEN ME!” Kae cried out, leaping at his father. He tore into him, ripping at his face, neck, legs, anywhere he could reach. After a struggle, Nate was on the ground, pale yellow eyes glazing over.

“NATE!” Cried Mercy, who had rushed back from where she was hiding.

“You! Drop the kid woman, and I’ll spare you.” Kae growled, turning on his mother.

“K-Kae, no, don’t do this!” She cried, shaking her head furiously. “Please, it was for your own good!”

“Then why did you forget me!?” Kae screamed, rushing at Mercy.

“Kae do-“ But before she could finish, she too was on the ground with crimson liquid bleeding from her chest.

The kit woke up, looking into his big brother’s sickening eyes.

“Who’re you?” He innocently asked, pawing at Kae’s muzzle.

“I’m your worst nightmare!” Kae yelled, scratching him across the face. Blood trickled from the cut, making the little one cry and wail.

“Hey! That hurt! You’re mean!” He whimpered, holding his head.

“Shut up!” Kae yelled, digging his claws into the kit’s flank. This caused the kit to wail again, holding his flank and his head.

“You’re evil! Stop that!” He wailed, trying to move away from Kae. Then, he bumped into his mother’s corpse.

“Mo…mommy?” He asked, poking his mother’s dead body. After not getting a response, he shook her corpse. Once again, no response. He walked over to his mother’s head, and opened her eye. Just a blank yellow iris, staring back at him.

“Stop it mommy, stop it! Wake up! Wake up!” He cried, shaking his mother’s corpse continually. He went at it for a minute, before he broke down into tears.

“MOMMY!” He wailed, crying into his mother’s fur. His tears mixed with some dried blood, causing his muzzle to be stained with blood. After ten minutes of this, Kae had enough.

“Quit yer cryin’! She’s dead, and their ain’t nothin’ you can do about it!” He barked, swiping at the kit. This time however, the Kit moved, and lunged at Kae’s neck. He bit into it, scratched at his ears, and even drew blood.

“Why you little…” Kae growled, picking the kit off of him. “Quit that, ya hear? Just stay here like a good boy, and I won’t kill ya. Simple, am I right?”

The kit shook his head, warm tears flowing from his eyes. “You killed mommy, and daddy. I can’t forgive you! I hate you!” He cried, struggling. Eventually, Kae just threw him at his mother’s corpse.

“Don’t you know how to shut up?” He asked violently, stalking up to the kit.
And then, the Kit caught Kae off guard. He had jumped out, and bit him on the nose. Kae backed up, nearing the edge of the cliff the cave was on.

“Why you little rat. Come here.” He growled, jumping on him.

“I’ll give you a mark you can never forget. I’ll teach you to screw with me!” He yelled, chomping into the kit’s neck. Then, he slashed at the kit a few more times on the shoulder and fore leg.

“And those scars are for the nose.” He growled mockingly, beginning to stalk off. As he neared the edge of the cliff, a rock hit his head. Kae stumbled, and fell off.

“And that’s what you get for messing with Kae’s family.” The kit named Kae said, peering over the cliff. He limped back over to his mother’s corpse, and nestled himself in her fur.

A bit cliche, but eh. XD

Were-Ulaya name: Nijuujinkaku
Why did you choose that name?: It means 'double personality' in Jap. Werewolf's turn into that, their appearance isn't a werewolf all the time. Get it? XD;
Notes: N/A
Prompt number: 1
Response: Ni looked looked at the sky. Always trying to be away from the world, for, he was very different. Full moons were his enemy, and he was just an unsuspecting victim of it's cruel moonlight glow. However, tonight wasn't one of those nights. Tonight was only a new moon, he had only just gotten away from his enemy. He had a little while until it came back. He enjoyed this time, but also hoped he was lucky enough to not get close to anyone while he was himself. Getting close to someone, thinking about that always reminded him about his past. That past that made him this new enemy. But he wished he could just forget it.

It all happened so long ago, but only seemed like yesterday. He had only been a pup when he met her. Another Ulaya, she was about his age when he met her. She was very cute when she was young, and she grew up to be very beautiful. They had become very close, growing up together. However, they never knew nothing of each others family. He only knew little things about the girl. He also realized she never met with him on a full moon. He didn't think anything off it when he was young, but he understood now.

He soon then realized he had fallen in love with this mysterious Ulaya. She had told him she felt the same, but didn't know how it'd work out. She was keeping a terrible secret. Ni didn't care what secret it was, he wanted to be with her. He always thought love was the strongest power, soon he'd know how little he knew. So, one night on a full moon, she invited him to meet her at a near by lake. He wondered what she wanted to show him, was it important? He hoped nothing was wrong..

They were having a lot of fun at the lake that day. They were relaxing under a tree. When a full moon uncovered itself from behind the clouds. The wind seemed to pick up, and the Ulaya he loved changed. She seemed so different, what had happened to her? Ni got up and slowly backed away from her. He didn't really know what to think, he didn't even know what was going on. He couldn't stand to see her that way, he closed his eyes and began to run away. However, she was faster then him and tackled him to the ground. At this point he was very scared, what was he going to do now? Who he thought was his love was now attacking him, as if she didn't know who he was. He was so afraid, he seemed to have passed out.

When he awoken, he was on the ground. Bloody, and his love was nowhere in sight. He was heart broken when he never saw her again after that day. He was also very angry at her for leaving him with a curse that day too. All the scares on his body were from her, memory of her that can never be erased. He never loved again after her, nor did he meet any new Ulaya. He didn't want to hurt anyone else, like he was hurt. How his past haunted him so.

The thoughts of pain and betrayal played in his mind all the time. It was hard to forget, so he just stopped trying to. He now lived his life alone. Having no family now, as they had all left him. He only shared his life with his surroundings. Living a life in fear and hope. Fear of hurting others, and the hope that he'd never met another. He rest his chin on her fore paws, drifting away in his past full of horrible memories.

Maybe there will be one who could break through to him. But only time knew that one. But only he could chose to let someone or not.
And you thought your life was though.

Were-Ulaya name: Fumeiyo
Why did you choose that name?: It’s Japanese for shame. -Points at notes.-
Notes: He is ashamed of his other half, plus he was named it by his parents whom were ashamed of him.
Prompt number: 1
Response:

Fumeiyo looked around in his were-half, unlike what most rumors said about Were-Ulaya he had complete control over himself, though it took practice and strength, if he was careless he could lose control. He sniffed the air, it was just like that night he learned the truth about himself, when he was just a wee baby Ulaya, only a month old, and it was his first time experiencing a full moon.

Fumeiyo hopped about happily beside his mother and father as they walked through the lush grass, he was turning a month old that night, and it was a full moon too, how cool was that? He looked at his parents to see they’re reaction to the time passing so quickly, but they didn’t look very happy for some reason, like they were hiding something they were ashamed of. “What’s wrong? And where we going?” They hushed him, saying he’ll see soon. Fumeiyo pouted, they were suppose to be proud!

Soon they reached a lake, it seemed to glow from the moon's light that reached it throught the mist. Fumeiyo looked at his parents, confused. His mother looked away, his father looked down and his voice trembled as he spoke, “we’re… we’re going to drown you, Fumeiyo.” He jumped away and stared at them in shock and disbelief, “what!? Why!?” He started to back away from them, planning to run away as soon as they answered. His mother spoke this time, her voice monotone and lifeless, “why me of all Ulaya… why must I have been the one to bear a monster…?” Fumeiyo was even more confused now, he wasn’t a monster! “N-no… you’re wrong… I’m not a monster!” His parents had always told him he was a gift, blessed by an angel when he was just a baby. His mother let a weep, "a damn witch cursed you before you were even born..."

He looked at the lake, he was trembling, he did not want to die here, and not by his parent’s claws. Without a thought he howled at the moon that had finally shown itself through the mist that hovered in the air. It was like he was howling to it for help. He looked at his parents again; he was starting to feel funny, and he didn’t remember quite too well who he was. “We’re too late…” They mumbled as they stared at him in fear, starting to back away from him. Fumeiyo growled at them, his fear and sorrow was being infuriated with anger, he was losing self-consciousness. He unsheathed his claws, which were abnormally larger than those of even his parents. He hair rose on his back and his tail grew out wildly. Pinning his head back he howled once again, when he looked at his parents again he was snarling, the whites of his eyes were now black. Seeing the danger emerge completley they began to run for their lives. He let them run for a moment, his child-half trying to stop him, but it was alreay too late now to stop his anger, he pounced at them snarling, that moment he heard a shrill scream, than everything went blank.

Fumeiyo shook his head, he remembered nothing after that, but he did remember waking up one morning lost and afraid, and drenched in blood. Fumeiyo heaved a sigh, enough with the remembering, I’d better get a move on before anyone see's me... the monster. With his head down and dragging his claws he trudged to what he hoped might be a nearby cave.

Were-Ulaya name: Lupin
Why did you choose that name?: Because he is one of my favorite Harry Potter characters *shot*
Notes: If I do win him he will continue to play a roll in my Mwezi pack as an NPC, so most of this will be his history upon what happened prior to my upcoming events ... assuming I get him ^^;
Prompt number: Both
Response:

The forest was dark and bleak, causing all creatures walking within it a shrill feeling down the spine. Tattered and beaten feet paced their way through the trees of gloom and fear, silent as the wind itself on the cloudy night. Looking in all directions the black scarred Ulaya padded over the fallen branches and hardened soil from the upcoming autumn season looming ahead. Familiar scents wafted in the air, causing the smokey colored Ulaya to pause and shift his gaze more steadily over the forest floor, searching for the cause of this recognizable smell. "Who is it? Who's there!" He started to get nervous as he slowly began to remember where he had came upon that scent before, almost fearful of his encounter on such a cold and cloudy night.

"What do you think you're doing, showing you ugly mug here again?" A cold and raspy voice came from the trees behind him, causing him to jolt and turn facing the obviously familiar voice. Lowering his ears behind his head, Lupin released a low growl and replied with a snarl. "Believe me, if I knew you had claimed this territory I would have never stepped foot on the land." His bobbed tail twitched with anxiousness as he kept his focus on the Undulcan stepping slowly closer to him, much too close for his own comfort. "Well now that you know I demand you leave before I have to resort to killing you myself." Lupin growled once again at the thought of an old acquaintance letting out such a threat, giving himself chills through his body.

Yin scowled as he paused his steps, looking into the eyes of his long forgotten friend. The god's voice alone was enough to cause one's mind to cower in fear, but Lupin knew he had gained the hatred of the god long ago. This caused even more intimidating thoughts into his own mind, he knew well that the god will not hold his claws against one he felt had betrayed him or his pack. "Things aren't as you think they are, sometimes." He tried to hold his tongue but failed, he had to speak out and get the god to understand that what he might think happened wasn't the true story. Holding his breath and waiting for a reply from the dark hearted and self conceded god, Lupin found himself scanning his mind for the truth of what really happened that wet and rainy day.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The sky was dark and the large glowing moon lit the ground below, casting shadows from the storm clouds above. Lupin had been patrolling the pack's territory prior to Yin's orders for a mysterious trespasser had been spotted on the land and it was his job to scout and chase them out of the forest entrance. It had been eerie and cold that night, more so then normal during the summer's often warm evenings. The sky seemed like it was about to open up and pour down on him, making his search even more urgent for the falling rain will wash away all scents lingering in the air.

A breaking twig broke the silence and sent Lupin into a defensive posture, waiting for the intruder to show himself through the darkness of the forest. Fearsome snarling and crunching bones could be heard as a dark brown mass slowly formed it's way into a beam of moonlight. Spitting out a bleeding leg from a fresh kill the vicious beast looked straight at Lupin, narrowing his eyes with anger and excitement. Catching a look at the carcass on the ground behind the oncoming creature Lupin realized it was his missing pack member, bleeding all over the ground with his limb torn off.

"Blitz!" Lupin was extremely angered now, out for revenge on his old friend that the animal decided to feast upon. Letting out a scream of hatred he lunged himself at the blood stained beat, sinking his teeth into it's old ragged pelt. Almost instantly the were-ulaya dug his claws into Lupin's hide, whipping him from his own body, causing massive scars upon himself. Fear struck Lupin's eyes as he realized what he had picked a fight with and he struggled to get away from it's grasp but it was too late, he had been caught and wasn't going to get loose.

Grinning with malicious intent the were-ulaya lowered his head and drove his teeth deep into his shoulder, spraying blood all over the two of them. Screaming in pain Lupin fell to the ground like a lump as the were-ulaya dropped him and ran away, fading into the forest once again. After taking his breath Lupin rose to his feet and stumbled his way over to the long dead pack mate. Releasing a lone tear he rested his chin on the ground next to him and faded into blackness, passing out on the forest floor.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Nonsense! You betrayed us all and lost all trust. You don't deserve second chances!" Yin was fuming at this point, the fur on the back of his neck standing on end with anger. He stepped forward, claws barred and teeth showing, his one and final warning for the trader Ulaya to leave is land or be killed. Lupin's ears fell back, not wanting to battle the powerful god for more then one reason. "Listen, I don't want to battle you, just list-" he had been cut off with the god's words, shutting him down even more. "Forget it! Get off from my land!!" Yin's anger enraged the sky, moving the clouds around and shifting the tone of darkness in the forest. He often expressed his anger with his powers and being the god of darkness he could do this well. Lupin's eyes flashed as he remembered that behind the thick clouds rested a full orb, waiting to be released onto the earth's ground. Stepping back he remembered what had happened after he awoke the next day from his attack and he froze in his place.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey, over here!" A distance voice could be heard, irking Lupin out of his sleep. Rolling over he opened his eyes and snorted in frustration into the air before raising onto his elbows and scanning the scenery around him. He couldn't remember much from the night before, just that it was a dark and scary night, nothing more other then that information. More voices could be heard as he blinked the light out of his eyes, trying to get used to the day before actually looking before him.

"What happened here?" Houndour ran up to him, concern in his voice and fear on his face. Unsure if how to answer the question tossed at him, Lupin struggled to his feet, his shoulder wound completely healed from the night before. "You ... did you kill him?" Taking him by surprise, Lupin looked down to see what he was talking about and shock struck his eyes as he remembered last night. Yin came around the corner and viewed the bloody scene around him, putting his ears back in confusion and anger. "What happened here?" He knew well that the intruder had been a were-ulaya and once his eyes met with the slashing scars on Lupin's shoulder his mind had been made.

"I want you off from my land and away from my pack, do you hear me?" His voice was stern and forceful, letting everyone know how serious he really was. "But I didn't-" Yin wouldn't let him finish his words, his mind was set and there was no changing it. Letting out a sigh of defeat, Lupin turned around and ran from the territory promising himself he would never return.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"It's your choice! Leave or be defeated!" Yin's eyes wide and full of rage he stared down his enemy, a once trusted and beloved member of his own pack. Lupin's mind filled with worry as he tried to decide what he was going to do. He could fight his old friend, possibly gaining his trust back or he might turn him into a were-ulaya as well. Or he could run in fear, letting the god stay as he is and never have another chance to prove himself, or escaping in one piece and letting the world run without him some more.

"I'm not going to leave until you listen to me." He planted his feet firmly on the ground, sticking to his decision and not letting the god scare him away. He wanted to finalize the truth one and for all and nothing was going to stop him, not even the full moon which threatens to peer out from the clouds above. "You dare challenge me?!" Yin didn't like this response but realized he should have seen it coming. Before either of them could think about what the other was doing, Yin lunged himself at the fearful black Ulaya, wrapping his jaws around his neck. Blood fell from the wound, staining both of them with the crimson red liquid. Letting out a scream of pain Lupin refused to fight back for fear of turning the god into a were-ulaya, casting him the fate that had befallen himself that sad and lonely night.

"I didn't kill Blitz! The were-ulaya did!" His voice had been muffled from his own pain being casted by the jaws bearing down on his flesh. Trying his hardest to ignore it as much as he could, clenching his teeth as the blood flowed out of his punctured neck. "I'm not going to leave so you'll have to rip me apart to rid of me!" Yin's mouth slowly released as he stepped back, licking the blood off his jaws. Breathing heavily he closed his eyes and lowered his head, letting out a sigh before replying back to the beaten Ulaya. "Yes, I know this. But you are on of them now and can no longer be trusted. The moon will shine one day and the true you will be unstoppable." His voice obviously more calm and remorseful now, giving the injured Ulaya a chance to speak or stay silent, decided his fate on his own words.

"I've learned to live with it, I can go far away around the time of the month and after a while I can control it more then before. I'm not as bad as that blood thirsty beast was years ago, I'm not a vicious killer." He waited for Yin to reply, decided if he didn't want him there still he would leave without a word for he was just glad to get these words off his shoulders. Keeping his eyes closed as he thought to himself the god released yet another sigh and turned around, taking silent steps into the dark of the forest where he had come from.

Sitting down on the ground Lupin watched the black where he had faded into and caught his breath before raising to his feet once again and walking in the opposite direction, leaving the god's territory. He still hadn't a spoken trust between the two but he knew that another day will come where their paths will cross and the battle will continue once again. But that was for another day ...

Were-Ulaya name: Fang
Why did you choose that name?: i dont know i thought it was a fitting name for how dark he looks in aparence.
Notes: XD he looks awsome and umm yeah i kinda took a chance though i am lame at rp. also i usualy am a very active rper and should i get him, i would definatly rp him even if it means rping with my own Ulaya.
Prompt number: 2
Response:

he thrash about and had fought the whole way as he was dragged out into the moon light to bask in it, so that he could become the evil werewolf he was deep inside after the day he was bitten and forever changed though to anyone it appared he was fighting with himself. Only in the moon light would he ever change into a malicious blood thirsty beast and no matter what he did he always changed. Eyes grew wide with horror as there is another Ulaya near by that had grown courious as they had been near by when they notice him fighting with himself to keep out of the moon light. Baring his teeth and backing up a step, one side of him fought with the other that wanted to do nothing more but tear apart the other Ulaya, the other Ulaya tilted its head at him but stayed put, content to wait and see if he would say anything. The fool was all he thought as a twisted grin came to his face and he stepped towards the other with malicious intent. For too long now he had fought with this other side of him that came out during the full moon and no more would he sit there fighting it. And for too long did he hide in his hidden cave to keep himself away from others so that he wouldn’t cause any harm. Taking another step with bared fangs, tonight he no longer would fight the urge that was deep within him that always no matter what he did to stop it come out during the full moon and tonight was the night he would do something horrible and enjoy it for once. No longer would he fear what he would do to others and he succumbed to his curse finally after so long of fighting it.

Were-Ulaya name: Orpheo
Why did you choose that name?: It comes from the word Orfeo which means darkness in the night, which I felt fit him very well. I tried to find a name that sounded like a werewolf's name, which usually was an exotic name meaning something dark/evil. xD His father wanted a harsher name, but his mother wanted an elegant name for him, so when his father said the name, she liked it. (she didn’t have much of a choice anyways)
Notes: He would definitely be rped with me. I love the way he looks, excellent job Ron! =D!
Prompt number: 1
Response:
The scars that covered him told of a harsh past. His mother was a kind ulaya that would try her hardest to protect him, but would quickly be attacked by his ruthless father. Orpheo’s father was not a full ulaya nor did he act the part of one. The brutal genes were passed on from Orpheo’s grandfather, to his father, to him. The painful fact was that Orpheo was just like his father: merciless, terrifying, and malicious. When day broke Orpheo he was a pure gentleman, but when night struck, his claws and hair grew, teeth sharpened, and his peaceful eyes turned cold and dark and would pierced the creature he would kill that evening.

The scars that covered him were mostly from his father, but some came from other ulaya that tried to kill him before he could kill them off while he was in his were form. His mother was always hiding from his father, and taught Orpheo to hide as well. His mother stayed with his father in fear of his father killing her if she left. Orpheo was always next to his mother cowering in fear. When his father reached up a paw to strike Orpheo for no reason, usually his mother would try to step in, but would suffer a harsher beating then Orpheo had to go through. He always had to watch these beatings, so that he would learn from his mother's 'wrong doing.' The dark colored ulaya had few friends, for his father usually scared them all off. And because of this, as he grew older, Orpheo grew quieter.

When he reached the proper age, the black ulaya began going with his father on ‘hunting’ trips. They usually ended with Orpheo and his father covered in blood from other creatures, including other ulaya. When he woke up the next morning, the little black kit would look at his claws which were back to normal and his tail which was short again. The blood that once soaked him was gone, and his father was usually no where in sight. His mother was usually curled up next to him in a tight ball, sometimes with a scratch or two on her from his father the night before. Then, when Orpheo grew old enough, he quickly left his mother and father, and hoped to never return... ‘The only reason,’ He thought to himself, ‘I will go back is to get my mother.’

Were-Ulaya name: Elmulaszt [Elm for shot 8'D] and Baske for the Were-ulaya part
Why did you choose that name?: Its Hungarian for "Lost" and he's kinda lost himself to becoming a were-ulaya, lost his former life, friends, etc. And it has three constonants shoved together! >D -shot- And the "Baske" Is because I'm a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle n3rd.
Notes: I really wanna co-own him if I win, I think it'd be awesome for it to be with someone else who tried out so there could be two people for each side. :3 One that could RP the were, one for the ulaya! xD
Prompt number: 2
Response:

It wasn't the first time Elm had "changed" but it was still as painful and hard as ever. He was not yet to the point of losing full control of himself of the other entity that seemed to dwell within him, they constantly battled over one another, but only on the night of the full moon did the Were gain the upper hand. That entity really had no other name than "Baske", and Elm hated to watch as his name and body were stolen. Tonight was again one of those cursed nights where the true Elm was lost in his own mind and he could only watch feebly as the Were ripped through the forest.

One moon cycle ago, Elm had witnessed the slaughter of a family of Ulaya, yet one was "spared" with only that turning bite. The were had yelled Elm's name, dooming him to the forest, never to try and fit in again. Elm's head mentally hung as Baske loped through the forest, looking for his next meal, and though his stomach too, was hungering, it was not with the same bloodlust it would someday have. Baske often spoke of the point of a complete merge, when there would be no Elm and Baske, but only one, and he shuddered. Baske knew what Elm was thinking and laughed, then fell silent as he had caught the scent of something fraglie. Something that could have its life taken with a bite, condemming it to death, or to this fate that couldn't truly be called "Life".

As Bakse in Elm's body stalked closer to the scent, he stopped short. Given he had found a kit, but this one was a freak, like Elm. It glowed as though it'd choked on a silver flashlight, and it had a stubby tail with equally stubby horns. It lay next to its father, breathing the regular pace of sleep. When their eyes went over the father they realized, he too was a strange one. With wings and the tail he had passed along to his son. This was an Undulcalan, and they were known to be as fierce and frightening as any were-ulaya. Elm could feel Baske's mind racing as he tried to think of a way to kill this kit of light without waking the father, but luck seemed not to favor the innocent this night. Elm moaned inside as the kit woke up, and upon glimpsing Baske's terrible yellow eyes, backed away from his father without a word.

Baske run the kit down for what seemed like an eternity so that it was though dead or alive, the kit would never see his father again, but at once it came to a halt against the foot of a mountain and a flat rock that had fallen down the slope. The dazzling kit backed up until he could back up no more, and though Were's first instinct was to also run from this divine light, he licked his bloody chops and advanced. At this point Elm struggled for control harder than ever. Knowing he had once been the kit laying with his father, and seeing the aversion Baske was already having, perhaps he could save just this one. He fought mentally for control, and for the first time, he had it. He ghasped as he now felt the night air, chilling and cold against his face, and he could see his own eyes reflected in the kits, return to their docile yellow. He panted as though he'd just run over the entire mountain, but he turned his attention again to the kit as he knew that Baske could not be contained for long. "Run!" He shouted louder than nessicary at the kit. "Ju-just run! As fast and as far as you can away from here!" He could see the kit's mind running. This figure that had just chased him away from his only protection now wanted him to keep running? For his own life or for part of the game? The kit shirked back into the rock, his bright fur becoming dirty with the grime clinging to the rock as he shook his head, too confused.

"Daddy.....Ka-Kanaki! Kyoooon! Mommy!" He wailed out, starting to cry.
Elm tried to hush him gently but quickly. "Sh....Shh.....Shhh. Its okay little boy, I'm not going to hurt you, but if you don't listen to what I say, I might not be able to keep that promise." The kit's eyes widened as he began to put it together, maybe from stories he'd been told. Elm smiled encouragingly, though he knew it probably made him look worse, as he hadn't felt the rest of his body change from its clawed and shuck-tailed self. The only thing seeming to keep Baske at bay was the glowing that eminated from the kit.
"Find water and cross it. Then stay put so your father can find you. No doubt in our-my mind that he'll come looking for you, so cross water to make me lose your trail then find yourseld someplace safe where even someone like me can't find you and stay there until the sun rises, okay?"
The kit finally nodded and began to pad off, but he looked over his shoulder while Elm was still himself and shouted, "Thanks Mister!" He smiled, letting his innocence of youth shine through his blinding fur, and they both turned simultaneously to run in opposite directions, Elm laughing freely at Baske's anger and the one that got away.

Were-Ulaya name: Weylyn -Ulaya Dark-Were
Why did you choose that name?: I used a werewolf name generator and chose the last name of the result that came up because it sounds really cool ^^
Notes: Well, if I win this will be my first Ulaya, which I have coveted for a while (who hasn't, really?) I am also a very active rper and he is gauranteed to be played. What can I say? I'm addicted to rping on gaia... Oh, and I'm just going to make up an Ulaya to drag him out.

Quote:
It's the night of the full moon, and you were dragged out by somebody to bask in its light. And neither friendship nor love is going to halt your transformation! How will you deal with it, turning when there's another Ulaya near by? Shove them away, or succumb to your instincts and do something horrible...

As usual, Weylyn felt the effects of the approach of the rising moon. The scars married his sleek black fur began to tingle and his joints ached. Cravings for flesh hit him, and any time he let his gaurd down he could almost taste something warm struggling between his jaws, a hot coppery fluid sliding down his throat, delicious and slightly salty, fangs clamped on his meal until it ceased to move...but then the cursed Ulaya would shake his head, yellow eyes wide in terror, and he would pace to get the frightening images out of his mind.

He knew that the full moon and three nights of terror were closing in once more, but he could not bring himself to leave the wonderful Ulaya that he had met and fallen in love with over the last three weeks. Weylyn lost track of time as he sat inside with her, lost in the deep soul-sharing conversation. The sun set and the sky darkened before he registered what was happening, then, as he jumped up with a start and stared outside, feeling the silvery orb rising into the sky and the pull of his dark self becoming strong, he was dragged outside by the energetic and cheerful Ulaya, who wanted to see the beauty of the most terrifying thing Weylyn knew.

The moon. There it was, hovering over the nearly-bare fall trees. Leaves crackled beneath Weylyn's tattoo marked feet and spun through the air in the chilled breeze that smelled of the approaching winter. Weylyn's terrified yellow gaze lifted and mirrored the pocked white rock in the sky, the source of all his pain and suffering. He felt the dark blood thirsty persona within him stirring, eager to be out, already licking his lips and staring hungrily at the poor unknowing Ulaya. "N-Noo..." Weylyn groaned, wavering on his paws.

"Are you all right?" He faced her, his expression one of agony.

He wanted to scream for her to run, but his voice caught in his throat, strangled into submission by the darkness, which cackled at his feeble attempts to be free, to resist.

"It's useless. Now...it's my time to play." The darkness then smothered Weylyn, shoving him deep within his own body, no longer just his own. Dark, the persona that took over during these three nights, rose to the surface, pupils dialating and then expanding within the yellow irises, the white of his eyes vanishing into black. He roared as the pain of the transformation hit. The small pom of a tail stretched and became shaggy, a thick mane of fur sprouting along his spine. Claws grew and became deadly black talons, small canines extending to visious yellow fangs. He roared again, his body shuddering as the changes finished and he let out a howl to the moon, his Goddess. She required blood, and blood he would give her.

That feral gaze fell on where the other Ulaya had been, only to realize she had fled. He smirked, growling before his claws dug into the cold earth and he flew over the ground swiftly, making hardly a noise as he followed the sounds of the sobbing and the fear-scent easily, glosing the gap between himself and his meal...

***

The first thing that Weylyn was conscious of was the horrid rotten taste in his mouth. He groaned and opened his eyes to the forest, the sky dark, slowly lightening as the sun made it's way to the horizon. He saw the blood on his paws, knew it caked his muzzle, knew he had done something horrid once more. Slowly he rose to lay on his stomach, peering around, forlorn. His eyes began brimming with tears. He knew...knew she was gone. Knew it was his fault...he was to blame. He should never have been near her, should have watched the time...

The black blood caked Ulaya let out a keening cry, tears soaking his fur as he sobbed, ears pressed back against his head, entire body trembling as he lay on the ground, praying he would just die right there. But of course his prayers went unanswered.

Still two more nights left...Dark grinned from just behind Weylyn's pain wracked eyes, waiting for nightfall for more hunting...

Were-Ulaya name: Necalli

Notes: Would appreciate concrit afterwards if possible.
Prompt number:1
Response:

Nesawa had been considered the luckiest of her pack for many years. Her parent's only child she never wanted for attention, reasonably intelligent she didn't easily fall victim to the worlds others tricks. Fair in her looks it had not been overly hard to attract an equally handsome and acceptable mate. All in all Nesawa had lived the perfect life. Up until now anyways.

The pregnant Ulaya lay on her side inside her den and panted heavily as contractions wracked her body with pain. Still tit was not the pain of a hard pregnancy that concerned her so much as the time. From outside her carefully constructed shelter Nesawa's amber eyes could see an equally pregnant object. Luminous and round with it's fullness the moon hung high in the sky. However, a darkness was coming to eat away at it and that darkness would bring with it a curse that would ruin the lives of any born during the eclipse.

Nesawa bit back a bitter laugh, of course she luckiest of the lucky would run the risk of having her first child born on the eve of the eclipse. If she could not hold back until it was over was over her child would be cursed.

A Were-ulaya , those that changed into feral, uncaring and uncontrollable beasts when the full moon was present. Some claimed that the horrendous things weres did during the time the moon held sway over them made them souless, how else could they live with themselves. Superstitious Nesawa couldn't help but believe this and it took every ounce of her strength to try and delay the labour.

Her efforts were for not as it was just as the moon seem to be entirely engulfed in darkness that her child chose to enter the world. Dark furred as the obsidian curse that swallowed the moon Nesawa could not help but feel her hear plummet at the sight of him. Exhausted she lay down her head and closed her eyes as he nuzzled into her.

Tomorrow she would deal with him. Tomorrow she would show him to her mate Kiano and they would end the life of therr child before it had the chance to end the life of others.

~

Tomorrow came and went many times and yet still the inky furred Necalli lived and thrived. His parents , unable to kill theirr child forsook their pack and became wanderers dragging their misfit child hither and yon in search of places to settle temporarily.

Part of it was to prevent any from inquiring to closely about Necalli's odd habits nearing the full moon. During which they kept him pinned down and away from others while the curse ravaged his body and mind. It was only his small size that gave his parents the strength to control him.

Part of the travel was a search for a cure. Newswa refused to believe her son had no soul. He apologized for every hurt he caused his parents and even within his changed form there was awareness in his golden eyes. Nesawa believed any curse could be broken and she would find her sons cure .

These efforts too were in vain, no matter how many leads were followed, no matter how many things were tried, including a nearly fatal poisoning disguised as a cure, there was no stopping Necalli's from becoming a were-ulaya

~
When the time came that his parents could no longer restrain him the young Ulay wounded them to prevent their following him and left. Necalli had long since given up hope of changing what he was, this did not meant that he accepted it or the lies that surrounded his kind. Cursed he might be but souless he was not. Mindess during the moons thrall perhaps and yet he still had some control some restraint. There was more, he was certain something he was missing.

He too had heard rumors during his childhood travels and some of them some of others like him gathering into packs and acting..well normal. It wasn't company or acceptance Necalli sought so much as their wisdom. what was he really and how did they all coexist peacefully? Perhaps if he could find others like himself he could learn control and then he would finally cease his endless wandering and begin a life with a purpose.

~ To this day Necalli searches fo those fabled were packs but he has found none. Though he has had companions from time to time and they have taught him much. To appreciate the gift he was given. Greater strength and speed than regular Ulaya and superiors sense he is a tribute to survival of the fittest. Necalli still cannot control his Were form fully but he has a measure of control and he uses it wisely.

A forced to be reckoned with Necalli is on a mission for truth and greater power and nothing will stop him.
