She shifted on her hooves with a bit of unease mingled with excitement. So much had happened since she'd left the lake to wander. She'd found what she'd been waiting for and things had... Progressed.
It was, all in all, about time that she came home; about time that she checked in... About time that she told her family. She was so excited about it and what it meant... But would they be?

The boys had gone off somewhere and she was enjoying the complete silence. No one around, nothing to bother her, and most of all it was cool enough that she could actually stand by the lake and not whither.
No one had to know she was secretly keeping an eye out for Wadi or Kizuka. The little ones, who weren't so little anymore, hadn't been home in a while. It was strange for Wadi to not come back but she remembered something about a friend and figured he had to be with them. Lord knew the little stallion wouldn't be anywhere alone.

Seeing the green mare standing there she almost turned around to walk back the other way. She almost went back to find Kai so that she wouldn't have to tell her family her wonderful news alone... Almost, but not quite.
She tossed her head up, holding it high as she trotted towards her grandfather's mate, a bright smile curving the corners of her mouth. "I think your hair's gotten longer, Rogue... Looks just as beautiful as it did when I left."

Her ears perked as she heard a familiar voice. "Well if it isn't my little grandbaby." Technally Kizuka wasn't really hers but she treated Kitara's children like hers anyway. None of them seemed to mind and it meant that she had more family even if she pretended that she prefered being alone.
"Come back to visit finally?" She turned and walked over to the other so she could nuzzle Kizuka lightly.

"Something like that." She smiled as she returned the nuzzle. "... Have you seen Mama and Da anywhere recently? Granda too? It's so good to see you again..." She would have to find Wadi too... He was going to have a bit of responsibility too now. Someone had to be a good uncle.

"Your Dah's off with Remy somewhere. I think they're trying to be 'manly' and not feel old." She shook her head slightly. At least they were getting along a little better if not completely.
"Your Mama i have no idea about and your brother's been missing for a while. I think he's attached to his friend."

"Wadi's missing?" Her brow furrowed slightly. She really had been gone for a while if Wadi had gone off somewhere and wasn't back by dark anymore. "I'm going to have to find him somewhere..." Her nose wrinkled slightly. "Da and Granda too... An' Mama. I'm really glad t'see you though... Seems like everything's changing."

"Not so much missing as he's made a friend and seems to be spending time with him. He's usually back by night but he didn't come home last night." She smiled softly.
"Things do change when you've been gone for so long. What have you been up to dear?"

"I hope he's alright..." Her nose wrinkled slightly as she shook her head before looking at the green mare. "Oh... A bit of this and a bit of that." She smiled, golden eyes seeming almost like her grandfather's for a moment as they twinkled. "I met someone."

"Did you now?" Hopefully that meant that she'd gone off and made friends. It was always good to hear that the little ones, or not so little anymore ones, were getting out and seeing the world outside of the lake.

"Mmhm... And now I'm carrying his foals." She smiled brightly as she turned to walk past the elder mare so that she could take a slow sip from the lake. All of this walking had made her thirsty.

"You're carrying..." Her mind took a moment to process this. "WHAT!?" She'd hoped Remy's adventurous side would have washed itself out of the bloodline by now but it seemed she was wrong.
"..... at least tell me you've known him for a while and you didn't just toss yourself into this?" Or that she wasn't going to act like Atsila had when she was with foal.

She took several sips of the cool water before turning her head to look at Rogue. "His foals." She said, still smiling. She was rather proud of that fact, actually... Possibly because the reality hadn't quite set in that she was going to be a mother and possibly because she was just enjoying Kai's company that much.
"I've known him for... A moon or two now..." It seemed like longer though. "He's a charmer." She was almost certain that her father was going to hate him.

Just like her mother. Somehow she knew Kizuka didn't really realize what having foals entailed. "I do hope you'll being him by to meet the family? and you know your father will want you home when they're born."
Most of the 'herd' they'd formed trusted the two two-leggers to make sure nothing happened to their foals. It was always easier knowing they were there to help along with the family.

"Oh... That probably would be a good idea, wouldn't it?" She grinned. "Of course I'll bring home home. Daddy will want to meet him... And I'm sure that Momma will too."
