As usual, it was night. Wyrsa cropped contentedly in the comforting darkness, though with a weather eye out for danger. This scrubland was on the edge of the desert, a place she hadn't been since she'd conned that Kalona into showing her the way across.
Thinking about him and his threats sent shivers down her spine, and she shook her head in irritation. Gah...Kalona were so fearsome in person...it was easy to stand her and graze and think of how she'd stand up to Tloc the next time she saw him...but she knew it probably wouldn't happen like that. In between encounters one always forgot how forceful their presence could be.
The mare sighed. Thinking of him was almost certain to summon him, in some weird, almost magical way. Best to ignore the memories and return to her grazing.

Ask and ye shall receive.... mind over matter... be careful what you wish for... whatever the saying was, Tloc was enjoying his own tormenting night of flight. He harried the owls, uprooted the sleeping sparrow, and taunted the restless crow. Needless to say, he was bored... and the yammering at the teepee was getting on his last nerves. He had to get away and work off his steam. Not so say he wouldn't like to tear the delicate wings off of Thistle... that would be sweet... but he was a little afraid what the two-legger would do to him if he did - not that he'd admit it. Tloc has seen her take down birds, there was no evidence to say she couldn't do the same to him... and if he were to never fly again, that would be a life worse than death.
The thoughts themselves worked the stallion up further, and he was about to go hunting for the pure joy of hunting and not necessarily because he was hungry, when he spotted something below.
He didn't need to be too close to see who it was... it was that scaled mare from the desert. Oh, maybe this would be a delicious night!
Silently, Tloc flew closer and then landed with a whisper nearby. The shrub he was standing on was not so lucky, and the sparks at his hooves flared a bit as the dried plant went up in flames - the coarse sprigs were rubbing his fur wrong.
"Tsk tsk, still no escort?" he chuckled, his own eyes flaming in humor and an irritation he was dying to release.

Wyrsa's ears shot upwards as the Kalona began to speak. Damnit, he'd snuck up on her again! Her heart was racing, but she calmed it as she swallowed her mouthful of scrub before replying.
The mare turned to face him, managing to appear calmer than she was. "No," she sighed. "The last stallion I met was a nuisance, so I thought I'd wait around for you," she said, boredom and a distinct annoyance with the other stallion apparent in her voice.
Actually, the off-chance of seeing Tloc again had been part of her thought process when choosing to head out towards the desert. She'd been, well, curious. Not necessarily a good thing when Kalona were involved.

"Oh?" Tloc cocked his head to the side to glance at the shiny wingless mare. It wasn't often that anyone came out specifically looking for him. He must be doing something wrong. Maybe he wasn't biting hard enough. Or maybe, this one didn't think he was serious when he said things. That could be it. "That must have been some experience that you came looking for me...."
He grinned viciously, sharp fangs glinting - as they usually did - in the light of the flames at his feet. "Maybe he just didn't know how to show a mare a good time?" It was mostly at that moment that Tloc wondered what her flesh tasted like. She had something like shiny scales... and he did enjoy eating snake. What would a scaled-soquili taste like?
A rush of hunger shuddered through him, and Tloc advanced slowly with each step. It would do no good to spook her, she would run... and while he would undoubtably enjoy the chase it was nature to try and sneak up carefully.

"It was the getting bonked with a lantern that decided me," Wyrsa commented, keeping a wary eye on the Kalona. She didn't trust him much, and did not like the way he was looking at her. He looked...hungry. And she wasn't sure for what. Actually, she wasn't sure what kind of hunger she'd prefer it be...nothing she could come up with was remotely acceptable.
"It's possible," she replied carefully. "But that brings up the question of whether you know how to show a mare a good time," Wyrsa retorted, smiling just enough to show her own fangs. She was getting an idea of what he wanted...and well, she was curious. As long as he wasn't sinking his teeth into her too much, she could deal with that.
He was coming closer, slowly, deliberately. The mare stood her ground and looked the stallion in the eye, not yielding to her almost instinctive fear.

Tloc didn't think getting hit in the head with a latern was too much fun, too bad for that stallion. What a clumsy doof! Didn't he know that mares needed to be shown thier place. And with a strong hoof, not a latern! What a soft, sad world it was beyond the desert. He liked the desert, it was rough and survival was difficult - just the way he liked it. Granted, he went slightly inland once in awhile for more... choice... pickings.
His grin reached his eyes, and soon Tloc was upon her. The stallion's wings were held close but balanced so he could use them if her needed to. Red eyes met gold ones as he watched her for a reaction.
Tloc leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "Why don't you tell me?" And with that, he leaned in closer. His teeth nibbled on her neck a little before he dug a little deeper. With a flick of his tail, Tloc tore just a little nick from her neck, to get a hint of how she tasted.

The mare's eyes briefly widened with surprise and narrowed again with satisfaction. Males! Two things that they thought about, and two things only. So utterly predictable.
Though he was fast, she had to give him that. And oh, the sensations his nibbling sent through her - then she flinched as he bit harder. "You want me here or not?" Wyrsa growled at Tloc, ears back in annoyance. Honestly...some just went to far! So she decided to give him a taste of his own medicine - or rather, to take a taste in return. The mare bit the stallion, but, given their positioning, had to go for the side of his neck, a bit lower down.
It was almost a pity about the angles. She would have liked to get closer to his jugular, give him a scare. Though, on reflection, it was probably a good thing she couldn't manage it. He might just get pissed with something like that. Which would ruin was was turning into a rather interesting evening.

Her own bite only seemed to excite Tloc more. It wasn't because he enjoyed the idea... but the pain that stung felt glorious, and that slight trickle of blood down his neck.... it was all more than he could ask for. In that moment, Tloc could forget that she had no wings, was not a kalona herself. In that moment, it was all about the blood, pain, and sensations.
No one dared to bite him before! Who was this mare that she took such a risk?
Nonetheless, her own nibbles only encouraged him more. He didn't know she had darker thoughts. He himself didn't want to kill her.... why, if he did that his mare-food supply would run out!

Tloc's ministrations were, in turn, exciting Wyrsa and she continued nibbling on him, though her bites were less predictable, and buffered by varying periods of caressing him with her mouth. It didn't matter for the moment that he was a fearsome Kalona or that he had threatened to harm and kill her before. It only mattered as far as not getting fouled in his wings or burned by his flaming hooves.
For the rest...it just didn't matter.
Though Wyrsa was somewhat interested to note that his hide was just that...hide. Not scaled like her own. It made her wonder briefly whose was the norm...hers or his?

Regardless, Tloc would probably have to admit that he was enjoying himself. This mare was letting him EAT her, and administer to his own needs as well. Who could really ask for more? At least... for now.
Never before had he tasted such a delicious blend of flesh and blood. Because of her unique fur-scales, Wyrsa was indeed delicious! He was starting to dig, probably not the best idea but he could hardly help himself. She really seemed to be cheering him on, and his own "bloodlust" was upon him. He needed to have more. Before he knew it, Tloc was starting to get a little rough.

As Tloc bit down particularly hard, Wyrsa shook herself all over. "Gently," she admonitioned him. In retaliation, she stretched her neck out and brought it back slowly, her little fangs leaving two thin lines of blood along his neck and part of his flank.
This was - aside from the occassional chomp on her - one of the most amazing things that had ever happened to the mare. And she wasn't going to let that damned stallion get so rough he ruined it all!

Tloc jerked back and away, his wings spread as though he were threatened. His muzzle dripped blood and his eyes were wide, as though waking up from a rather pleasant dream. In a flash, he remembered what had happened, and the heat on his side remained as a testimony.
Licking his lips, to savor every bit of blood, the stallion grinned at Wyrsa. "Well, I must say... some of the best flesh I have tasted, lady." He nodded dramatically, while he made sure every morsel was savored, even the bits of scale stuck in his teeth.
It was too bad it ended, but now that it was over -at least for now?- Tloc would take his time to have some more. Maybe give her a little time to heal. Would her scale-skins grow back? Would those taste different? Already, the kalona was planning for the future. It was a shame she had no wings.
His cloven hooves dug in while he pondered it all. If he were a cat, his claws would be systematically retracted and stretched.

Wyrsa snorted. "You should be more careful with your tasting then...or I'll have to return the favor," she replied, baring her own bloodstained teeth in a grin that wasn't quite as feral as the stallion's.
The mare cautiously stretched out and relaxed her neck, wincing slightly at how the bite marks stung. Yup, those were definitely her scales in Tloc's teeth. At least she was reasonably sure they'd grow back. Though it might be in her best interests to avoid the desert until then.
Still...she hesitated, unwilling to leave yet, watching the Kalona. He really was a handsome stallion, and it pleased her to see the blood dripping from the scratches she'd left. Of course, it also pleased her to watch how the blood ran over those gorgeous flexing muscles...
The mare shook her head more firmly. She needed to be patient now, and in the near future. She couldn't push herself past her limits carelessly.

Tloc's grin widened happily. Hey, it wasn't every day you meet a mare that let you take bites out of them. Oh, sweet cannibalism! Against his nature and own thoughts of perfection, he was beginning to see Wyrsa in a new light... maybe she wasn't that bad and just maybe - maybe - she was worth his attentions?
"Hmmm, maybe next time I'll just have to refrain from too deep of bites. Sometimes I forget how fragile you wingless types can be." Tloc smirked while looking into her yellow-feral eyes.
He rather enjoyed that trickle of blood, and how it tickled his fur as it ran. And the slight burning where she had made her mark... it wasn't often that he felt a kind of heat. Of course, that heat was spreading through his body and it was taking all his effort not to pounce on the mare and dig in. What did her heart taste like? Only the thought that it would all end if he did that kept him from trying.

Wyrsa snorted again and tossed her head, ignoring the pain. "Wingless is fragile?" the mare favored him with an unimpressed look. "Perhaps in the future I should remedy that belief," she mused, eyeing the leathery black wings. Then she smiled nastily. "I bet it would hurt a very great deal if I marked those wings. There would be physical pain, of course, but think how much it would hurt if you couldn't fly."
Wyrsa smirked. "I, on the other hand, don't have that problem." She began walking, slowly, deliberately, as she spoke, circling 'round the Kalona, quite as if their positions should be reversed.
