Has anyone else here read it? I actually pretty much enjoyed it, but then I wonder if this is just a side-story, or if it really happened before Raito showed up. Oh, and here is another thing they didn't show in the actual series/manga: The Death Eraser.
So what're your toughts on this? Do you think that Ryuk actually showed it to Raito, but he decided not to use it and that's why it isn't showed in the story?

I've heard it mentioned around the 'Net, as in it was considered for the story but was dropped. Maybe Deathgod.org mentioned it...? But I think it's good that they dropped the Death Eraser from the story. It'd get kinda circular, with people dying and resurrecting. Mello and Near might not have appeared at all. All you'd have to do is erase L's name and talk to him about his final moments.

Wow, am I the only one who has never heard of this? Where'd you get the side story thingie?
And it would be really ironic if they'd already buried the dead people and then when they came back to life they just died of suffication again in their coffins.

And what if the people were forced to come back to life when their bodies had already gotten rotten? I mean, it would work as long as they were'nt burned <.<

They'd probably die because their organs wouldn't work right. Unless they were zombies. xd
I wonder if there's a rule concerning how long you have to erase someone's name before their death becomes permanent.

i personally think the Death Eraser would go against all principles of being a Shinigami and/or Death Note holder.
Cuz you're suppose to "take away life and not extend it" right? neutral

I thought it was a cool idea, but yeah, tis too complicating after a while. Kira would get caught much sooner.
Although It would make a good spinoff story.
