"Ha!" He thundered out of the forest, creating as much noise as his four little hooves could. He had managed to escape, somehow, probably because his parents were too busy keeping an eye on the other two... And the older two. Well, that was just fine with him. While his parents were elsewhere he could play!
He bucked up, batting at the sky for a moment with his hooves before landing back down. He gave his head a light toss before bouncing around a bit, kicking legs up and knocking tufts of grass and dirt around. "Haha!" Freedom was such a cool thing.

Eden, who was a sort of frail and delicate foal finally managed to escape from her father's watchful eye. Even if he was her father, she felt uncomfortable, always under he watchful eye. But her mother wasn't around either.. Although she managed to slip out when her father wasn't looking, she found herself exhausted from all the running that she had done.
"Where should I go next?" She asked herself out loud.. Caught in a strange forest, she didn't know where to go next. Her gray eyes darted from tree to tree nervously as she took a hesitant step forward. But the sound of another, not too far away, caught her attention. Who is making those sounds? She asked no one in particular. Curious, she poked her head out from the bushes to where the sound was coming from.
She was surprised to see that there was another foal out there like her! "Wow!" Intrigued, her light gray eyes followed the dark foal for a moment before withdrawing her head quickly, before the other foal wouldn't notice her.
Strangely shy.. She wondered if she should go out and say hi. She had never encountered any other foal before.. But I do want to play.. She thought to herself wistfully.

He reared up, paying no attention to what might have been lurking around. Flames licked up along his lower legs in response to his mood. He was going to be a lady-killer when he was older... At least that's what they kept saying.
He paused after a moment, turning his head towards the forest. Crimson eyes narrowed slightly as he put on his best 'mean face'. "If there's someone out there you shouldn't hide. Hiding's not nice! I don't care if you're big, bad and scary... I can run faster!!"

As she debated what to do.. It appeared that the other foal HAD noticed her than. But she was slightly miffed at his choice of words.. even if it happened to be true. "I'm not hiding." Came the small huffy voice, as a filly emerged from the bushes. "I just happened to be wandering."
To think, she had been shy of this foal? Hardly! "So what if you run faster?" She challenged him, "If I'm big bad and scary, I can eat you, can't I?" She said, Her gray eyes filled with a little bit of triumph, to outwit this other foal. Or so she believed, being as naive as she was.

"Well you're 'not hiding' wasn't wandering in plain sight." He huffed as he eyed the filly as she emerged from the bushes. "An' you're not big, bad an scary. You're... Just a girl." He smirked, giving his head a light toss. No girl was big, bad or scary... Except for maybe is mama... And that was just because she had big teeth.

"Well. You must be blind if you couldn't see me." She shot a glare at him. Were all foals like him so irritating? However, she could name one. A stupid black foal who was getting on her nerves..! "Grr." She said, under her breath.
"So what? I didn't day, I was." As she smirked at him, while throwing her head slightly to the side in confidence.. Although it was quickly replaced with indignation. "And what is that comment suppose to mean?" Her eyes narrowed at the thought of what his words implied. "Are you saying a girl can't be scary?" Girls could do anything they wanted to do!

"No." He said with all of the attitude that a young foal could shove into one word. "I"m just saying that you can't be scary... I don't see anything big and scary about you. You're just a girl." He grinned, giving his head a light toss. No fangs, no snarling, no batty wings or horns or fire... She was just a girl, like his sister.

" I see." She said slowly. So he wasn't saying that girls couldn;t be scary.. Just that he didn't see anything scary. That made sense.. In a way. But at least she understood the.. sense behind it?
Softening, her attitude towards him turned a little kinder. "Just curious~~" She said, "But where is your mommy and daddy?" Was he by herself? Her father had always told her that being alone was dangerous.. Although she couldn't see quite how it was dangerous. It was annoying to have her father around everywhere she went!
"My daddy says it's not.. safe to be alone." She didn't know what the word safe was.. but her father had repeated it many times.

"Where are yours if you're so worrie about being safe? I don't see anyone following you around." He huffed. Girls. Did they -always- ask this many questions? GEEZE.
"My father didn't say anything about it not being safe to be alone. You just have t'be smart about it."

"I just asked a question. " She said, with a bit of exasperation herself. This foal was acting very strangely and rude. Why were guys so irritating? Hopefully, her brother hadn't ended out like this either. "And why should anyone be following me around, dummy?" Her tone slightly accusing tone.
"So you suggest to me, that.. you escaped from your parents?" She said, slightly in shock and disappointment. "Shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself?" She huffed.

"Because you're a girl and girls need someone to watch out for them all the time... Duh." He rolled his eyes as he shook his head. Didn't she know that? She should, being a girl and all. "Why should I be ashamed for running around and having fun?"

"Girls don't always need protection." She countered, her attitude defiant. "At least, not anymore than YOU GUYS." Practically glaring at the other foal by now. What nerve!
"Why shouldn't you be ashamed?" She muttered under her breath. But she took careful care in answering his question.
"You shouldn't be ashamed of having fun, but HOW you do it." She pointed out, "And escaping from your parents is a bad bad thing to do." She said, reprimanding the other foal firmly in her own way. But ti wasn't like he would listen anyways. Boys. Utter idiots.

He rolled his eyes at the filly as he turned away from her. He didn't need to be lectured by some silly GIRL. He'd come out here to get away from that... With four sisters and a mother? Bah. Too many girls in the world. Not enough smart boys... Like him.

So he was waiting away now. "Well. He can do that.." She said under her breath, with a sound of annoyance.
"Fine. Be that way. Coward." She said, emphasizing the last word, although her voice was soft. Albeit soft, but loud enough to be heard but nearby company.

"If I was a coward I'd be running away. M'not. M'walking." He snorted softly, rolling his eyes once more. "Wouldn't ever be afraid of some silly little girl... Especially not one like you."
