THE GRASS FIELD
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

"Woo~Pidgeotto, don't be emo! Another day, another chance to win a battle!" Luna cooed to her currently-depressed Pidgeotto who was resting on her shoulder. "And we have a special mouse on the menu today!"
"Haven't seen you since the Inhinx accident!" Luna said cheerfully to her opponent. "Let's have a good match!"

Kali glanced at the Pikachu on her shoulder. "What's gotten into you today? You suddenly dragged me into the stadium and acted like you wanted to battle." She thought for a moment. "This isn't because of your pride again, is it?"
Ziku was excited for this match. Even though his opponent had battled many other pokemon, he was determined to win. After the capture of so many battle-loving Raichus recently, the little Pikachu wanted to show them that he could fight too.
"It's good to see you again, Luna!" Kali called back. "It sure is nice to be out of that frozen place, even if I am suddenly dragged into a stadium!" she joked.

"That's what I'm known for~!" Luna replied cheerfully. "Anyways, let's start this off with something fun! Rip it up Pidgeotto! TWISTER~!"
Pidgeotto launched himself from Luna's shoulder into the sky. Then, at a fairly high altitude, he started to fly in circles. It was slow at first, but it slowly grew faster and faster, the wind building up. Finally, it became a large, full-fledged twister attack, heading straight towards the Pikachu.

As soon as the Pidgeotto jumped into the air, Ziku jumped onto the arena floor. He looked in front of him, expecting Pidgeotto to be there, but all he saw was grass.
"Ziku! Above!"
He quickly looked up just in time to see a funnel of wind flying toward him. Ziku jumped to the side, but the raging whirlwind lifted him higher into the air. He flew around the twister once before hitting the ground.
Shakily, he got to his feet. "(You caught me by surprise!)"

"Deal with it." Pidgeotto replied. '...I get caught by surprise a lot too.' He added mentally.
"Let's continue on with our assault! Whirlwind!"
Pidgeotto thrusted his wings down hard. Once, twice. thrice. Powerful gales of wind came to blow over the arena. Even Luna had to plant her spear into the ground to stay on the ground.

Ziku crouched down and tried to stay rooted to the ground, but was lifted after a few moments. The wind easily made the small pokemon fly wildly in the air.
"Ziku, we can use this wind to our advantage! Try that attack we've been practicing!"
The wind rushed around Ziku as he flew through the air. The wind turned and he was heading toward Pidgeotto. He quickly turned his tail toward Pidgeotto. The tail started glowing, but quickly faded.
"Ziku, make it a slam attack!"
The tail whipped toward Pidgeotto and smacked his back hard.

"Pidgeotto, let's give Ziku a rollar coaster ride, shall we?" Luna asked.
Pidgeotto's eyes glinted. While the mouse was falling, he snatched him quickly with his talons and then flew up...up...up. All of a sudden, he plummeted down to the earth, along with Ziku. He dropped the pokemon 8 inches from the ground while he turned in a 90 degree angle towards the right and back up into the sky again. Ziku, on the other hand, was hitting the earth fast like a meteor.

"Oh no, Ziku!"
Ziku struggled in the Pidgeotto's grip, but was suddenly slammed into the ground. He gasped as the air rushed out of him.
"Are you alright?"
He nodded and stood up. This battle was harder then he thought! His body started giving off small sparks before shooting a thunderbolt at the Pidgeotto flying above him.

"Pidgeotto! Let's go in for a wing attack!" Luna shouted.
Pidgeotto knew from the non-verbal hints of his trainer, such as not mentioning the thunderbolt attack, that she wanted him to endure it. Oh darn. Oh well.
Pidgeotto curved back towards Ziku and, enduring the thunderbolt attacks which were reduced now due to Ziku's weakened state, flew straight past Zikul, wings outspread wide. Hopefully a hit occured from the sharpened feathers.

Ziku grinned as his attack hit the Pidgeotto.
"Ziku, he's coming down low! Use the attack you learned from Aeon!"
Ziku nodded and began to crackle with elecricity. He listened as the bird pokemon started coming toward him from behind.
"Now! Thunderpunch!"
Just as the sharp wingtips hit him, Ziku smashed his electrified fist onto Pidgeotto's side, sending lightning bolts flying everywhere.

MY BAD LUCK STREAK RETURNS~ ;0 ))
Pidgeotto could barely do a thing as the smaller pokemon surprised him with a right hook. And it hurt. THankfully, he had neither teeth nor tongue to bite, BUT IT STILL HURT!
Pidgeotto, infuriated, snapped his beak at Raichu, in more of his own beak-feather-claw type of fighting. He was mad. So mad he couldn't even concentrate on attacks but plain physical violence.
"HEY! PIDGEOTTO! STOP BEING POED AND EMO! YOU WON'T WIN THAT WAY STUPID!" Luna shouted and sighed. Pidgeotto's characters and morals were spiraling downwards. Hopefully they would be able to reach a peace at least for this battle.

Ziku quickly jumped back when Pidgeotto went into a frenzy. Thankfully, he was faster on the ground than the bird pokemon was. After jumping over the incoming wings, Ziku landed behind Pidgeotto.
"Ziku, don't give up! Try another Thunderbolt!"
Sparks flew from his cheeks before shooting toward the pokemon in front of him. A few loose sparks flew dangerously close to Luna's spear. If one hit...it would proababaly fly. (( wink ))

"Ack...Pidgeotto! Gust, NOW!"
Pidgeotto glared at Luna, but whipped up a gust of wind at the Pikachu. This move caused the pokemon to roll backwards just before the attack hit, allowing him to take minimal damage.
"Let's try getting into the air again Pidgeotto! Fly!"
Pidgeotto lifted off into the air, wings very heavy. He glared at Ziku, circling around the pokemon. "Gust again!" This time, Pidgeotto complied without complaint, sending sickle-like winds at the Pikachu and cutting some of the grass in the process.
