User ImageA splash of white sparkled on a sea of crimson as Arsenic grazed in a green field. The skies had clouds her and there, and there was a chill to the air. He loved the transition between summer and autumn. In summer the air was always so sticky and gross, but autumn, autumn was wonderous and magical. Romantic and beautiful. What a wonderful time of year.

His blue eyes closed as he filled his lungs with the cool, crisp air. Even the air smelled of autumn and it's changes. When he opened his eyes again he sighed to see no others around. No one to share this lovely day with. What a shame.

When in the air, Amary felt as though she was a bird on the wing. Diving down, climbing back up, rolling gracefully and slowing down to lazy wingflaps before speeding up to once again race with the wind. She was totally in control, and totally loving it.

But much as she loved flight, it tended to get old after a certain point; that point tended to come pretty quickly when something else caught her eye, and that was certainly the case today.

It was the color that caught her eye at first, a deep bold red against the green of the meadow below. Glancing down, Amary narrowed her eyes at the sight of the red shape, then widened them in pleasure as she realized what the red shape was: a stallion.

Well, she'd been in the air for a while already; time to change gears. Smiling to herself, Amary pulled back her wings, then went into a graceful dive, one that would end a mere few feet away from the stallion. How's THAT for an entrance?

A flash of pink and Arsenic was rearing back, startled by the sudden appearence of a mare. He lowered himself back to the ground, backing up a few more feet. It was a wonder he didn't trip over his own hooves with his jerky movements.

Shaking his head from the shock he took a moment to look over the cause of his potential-heart attack. A mare; a rather beautiful wind at that. It would explain the fancy arial entrance, but he wasn't expecting it. "Um, Hello?" His soft voice greeted.

At the stallion's reaction, Amary couldn't help but laugh. She did adore making an entrance, and if the stallion's behavior was any indication, she'd done just that. If anything, he was overreacting a bit, but who was she to complain when she'd gotten what she wanted?

That in mind, her smile was a little more amused than usual as she bowed to the stallion, her eyes sparkling with mischief and her expression bright. "Hello yourself! Lovely day to be out and about, wouldn't you say?" As she spoke, the mare combed a wing through her mane, smoothing out the windblown hairs and arranging them into a more attractive (to her mind) wave. After all, one had to look their best when meeting a new Soquili!

Arsenic hesitated a moment before answering. He wasn't completely sure if this mare could be trusted. " ...Gorgeous day, yes." He finally answered. It wouldn't do to be rude and not say anything to her. Then she'd just get mad and walk off and he'd not know whether they could have been friends or not.

"I suppose it's a bit chillier up in the air?" Make conversation, yes that was good.

Finishing her preening, Amary folded back her wings and adopted a relaxed stance, giving the stallion a little bit of space to get his nerves back. After all, to look at him one would think that he'd had a wolf lunge at him, not have a truly gorgeous, witty, and entertaining mare drop out of the sky. Some stallions were just so ungrateful...it was very sad.

But he might just be the nervous sort; and looking at him, she could see that he had no wings, which lead her to believe that perhaps he just wasn't used to the dramatic entrances winds tended to make. Poor guy!

So she simply gave him some space, keeping a comfortable distance between the two of them as she nodded. "Well, the wind is certainly stronger, but you know what they say about warm air rising. Still, it's nice enough to be on solid ground once in a while!" Laughing at that, Amary gave the stallion a smile; even though he was grounded, she figured he had to understand at least a little.

Arsenic nodded, at her words, glad for the space that she gave him. At least she seemed to understand a bit, or if she didn't, she knew that he just needed the space to relax a little. "I think I'd much perfer the ground. The sky is most certainly not for someone of my type, though it must be breathtakingly beautiful up there."

His muscles relaxed and his expression became just a bit more calm with the space she gave him. Perhaps she hadn't meant to scare the wits out of him. Yes, she hadn't understood that he was a tad shy.
