Mwana was still in her usual routine; sitting under a cozey tree while Trigger was off hunting. It happened to be a routine she liked. He asked her hunt once and a while, but normally she declined on some excuse or another and he seemed to be getting used to it. This was far better then her last situation; before, her sisters had always got her to do the work, poorly she might add. Now she was living at least somewhat like she should be. There were still new and old worries, but she was handling them...sort of.
She couldn't wait, however, until they finally reached those highlands Trigger spoke of. She was tired of getting dirt stuck between her toes from all that walking! She leaned forward, spreading her paw as she began to run her tongue delicately over her skin and clean the dirt off. She might be out in the middle of nowhere, but she was still a Lady.

Another lioness made her approach, also tracking pugmarks in search of food. Her blue eyes scanned the area intently, but so far she hadn't picked up on anything but the scent of other lions. One in particular was very fresh still, and not as in she'd just been by, but that she was still there.
Brown, tan, and black came to a slow stop, tilting her head to gaze at the other lioness. Thought her luck with strangers had always been on the poor side, she was hunting for three, and so saw no harm in asking for a bit of help if the other would offer it. She closed the distance between them, and while mindful of the other's personal space she didn't hesitate to speak up to be heard.
"Excuse me, miss? Could you tell me if you've seen any game somewhat recently?"

Mwana lifted her head, feeling a slight twitch of irritation at being interupted. Hello, lady at work here? She hooded her eyes, drawing her mouth together in a small line as she slowly turned her ears to face the stranger, her head only moving slightly so that she could see the other lioness from the corner of her eye. "I'm afraid I"m not the one hunting, so I don't really keep tabs," she murmured diplomatically. She might be the most impulive of her sisters, but she was still rather refined, especially around others. Even if that didn't mean being completely polite. Being politically rude, however, was far better, in her mind, then just outright blunt gestures of dislike.

Didn't keep tabs...? She wasn't one to jump to conclusions often but, was it just her or did the initial response and verbal reply seem a bit lacking in both respect and care? Never the less, she put on her smile, hardly wanting to seem pushy or rude.
"I see, well.... surely you must remember seeing something at least...? Even if it was some... time ago?" She tried again a little more tentatively than before. "Please... if you can remember anything, I'm not just hunting for myself, my mother and daughter--" She tried to explain, hoping that maybe it would invoke a little more patience and effort from the other.

Mwana signed heavily passing a glance at her paws for a moment to make sure they were clean before settling them lightly before her. Flicking her tail she actually gave the lioness's question a moments thought; which was very generous of her, mind you! "Well," she murmured in a light, elegant drawl, "my companion headed off in that general direction. Since I believe he's hunting I assume there is food there." Trying to remember anything else would be a little bit beyond her. She could probably do it, if she was pressed, but the last thing Mwana wanted to do was think about hunting. She had done enough of that for her sisters, thank you very much. Instead of being empathetic, she was simply...more distant.

As Mwana spoke, Kimya's head shifted so that her eyes could follow the direction that Mwana spoke of. The words "my companion went" stuck in her ears, however, and she looked back to the other feeling just a bit crestfallen. It would be best not to interfere with another's hunt, especially when he or she, he, she believed, was hunting for two as she was. Still, it was hardly this lioness' fault. She wasn't the type to take out her problems, let alone on others.
"I see, thank you then, miss... Would you mind if I maybe waited here until he returned? I don't want to interrupt if there's already a hunt in progress but, maybe when he returns I can go try my paw at it."
She smiled a little, hoping her reasoning would make sense to the other as it did to she herself.

Mwana clicked her tongue slightly, but not enough to be audible to the other lioness. Great. She was going to have to play the hostess to a commoner. How drab! She didn't look on the brightside of having female company for once. She hadn't had contact with another lion or lioness since Trigger had found her. But, being high strung, it was more of a hassle to her then a perk. "Do as you wish," she replied simply, curling her tail and beginning to clean the other paw absently. Seeming busy gave her the excuse to not talk as much.

A little hesitant, she gathered herself to settle down. Making sure to give the other lioness space was key, but she wasn't going to just sit and stay quiet forever. For the first five minutes, yes, but then she looked towards Mwana in hopes of making a friend.
"So, I'm Kimya'ukilia, what's your name?"

Mwana inhailed gently, another gesture not easily picked up unless someone was really astute. She really had to give her name to this common lioness? She certainly didn't want to hear hers, whether it was bubbles or something nicer, like that one she had just stated. But, she was very refined and she knew that she must grace hte other with her name, even if she didn't deserve it, "I am called Mwana," she murmured, though her tone did not suggest the other could call her on such lax terms. If she did she was likely to correct her.

"It's nice meeting you, Mwana."
She smiled, inclining her head formally with a feline bow. Her mother had taught her manners, after all, though she expressed them out of habit and not any urge or need to impress.
"And it's a relief to finally meet someone who isn't trying to chase me down or run me off. I hope you don't mind my asking, you carry yourself as someone that's not from here. Are you?"

"Lady, if you please," Mwana murmured rather politely, considering it was a correction on the other's comment. It made a temple throb, but she managed to keep her ecpression very smooth. It was funny, for a tempermental lioness she only seemed to...express herself with those she trusted. Perhaps it was better not to be in such a position. It meant you wouldn't get yelled at. "I am a princess from the land of the Mistweavers," she replied as if it were a casual answer to her question. She didn't include that she had been kicked out with her other sisters and that she was now trying to find somewhere else to give her a position in power, "So you could say I'm not from here, yes."

"L... Lady Mwana, I'm sorry..." Her ears rocked backwards in surprise. She felt embarrassed, needing to be corrected like that.
Suddenly the idea of staying didn't seem so... wise. She might just decide to take her chances elsewhere, as it was becoming obvious that despite her efforts to be polite, the other lioness just didn't want her around, but at least she -hadn't- chased her off........ technically.
"Right then... well, on second though, Lady Mwana, I think I'll take my leave now and see what I can find elsewhere..."
She pulled herself to her paws with as much dignity as she could manage, giving one last courteous nod before turning to slip off, glancing back once.
To think, this had been her first decent encounter yet.

Mwana gave a slight nod as the lioness went to leave. Inside she was relieved and extremely glad. Finally she was left in peace. It was so hard, putting up with commoners like that. Honestly, what did one talk about with commoners? It had always been an answer that eluded her...and not one she asked voluntarily. Once the other lioness was out of sight she smiled smugly to herself, dropping her bangs in her face, "Much better." She went back to her cleaning.
