What do you think of people actually loving, as in "___ is forever mine" or whatever, the characters? I've seen it go.. to a bit of an extreme... *coughdeviantart I think it's slightly... interesting. XP But, the one I've seen goes to the point of hating SasuSaku because she "loves Sasuke is married and him". Eeek. >.< (Hmm, now that I think about it, she actually also draws their children together..)

It's an abnormal obsession, I should say. Whoever says he or she loves this or that character and belongs to him or her alone needs to get a life. I mean, there wouldn't be a problem if it was a joke, but if it led to character hatred and bashing, then the person just needs to grow up.
It won't affect me either way, actually. I have a grasp on reality that that person doesn't have.

I agree with Ten-channeh-chan. I think it's perfectly fine to have crushes on characters, but when it comes to the point of claiming characters and starting fights with other fans because of it... yeah. That's going to far.
I've been accused of stealing anime boyfriends before XD The Sasuke fangirl population is HUGE. I don't even crush on him D: I just like his character.

.... Yeah. You can like the characters, but not be in love with them.
Unless you have real life counterparts<3

Well.... I love Sasuke. >>;; I openly admit it! I squealed when I saw how cute he was in the december picture on my cousin's calendar. xD;
But I don't claim him/want to marry him/have his children. I just think he's hot. xDD;;

Hawtness is one thing.
The "I'm going to marry him" thing is another.

I used to be completely obsessive over Sasuke, when I had just found about Naruto. Oh, those days... I don't think I ever said that I "wanted" him. I liked SasuSaku from the start. :3
What the person said about SasuSaku:Quote: SasukexSakura = ...O...M...G-NO! HELL NO! THIS COUPLE SHOULD F******* DIE!...not the characters...but the couple...aBSOLUTELY NOOT! BLECH! It's quite obvious she doesn't like it because she loves Sasuke. I do visit her deviantart as entertainment, though.. Oh god. I'm mean. D:

Kono omoi wa mune ni shimatte okou... I’ll keep this love in my heart…
I'm in love with a few character's aspects; but not overall smitten. (For instance, Sakura's eyes, super strength, attitude, legs *coughs*; Sasuke's outfit, hair, ninjutsu, personality, etc.)
...”Nakushita shimatta...” …”I’ve lost you…”

It is normal for anime fans to love characters, But marriage is going way too far.

... heart ~ I agree however. I like certain traits in all the characters. Ino's eyes, Sakura's hair color, Sasuke's...erm, well Sasuke and Lee's stretchy suit.

We all love Sasuke's Sasuke, Immeh.
For every character I like, there's always something I like about them. Tenten's eyes. Sai's Sainess. I also view Haruhara Haruko as the incarnation of smex.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to love a character, but just not in the same way that you would love a real person, or to the point of bashing fandoms etc. Also, I think it is fine to claim characters and fight over them if it is in a jokey way, and amongst friends.
I mean, with real people you can talk to them, hug them, and keep memories that you have had together, whereas with characters in manga or anime, you can only have an insight into their life, and very little else.

Yeah, having an adoration for a character is ok, but an actual full-blown LOVE is a little insane, lol. sweatdrop Of course, I will admit to my extreme fandom of Sasuke when I was in 8th grade... me and my friend would actually extreme role-play, I was always Sakura, she was Ino, and we would have heated discussions over Sasuke... heh... Now I look back on it and I'm all eek ! The obsession I don't think would be call "unhealthy" just a little extreme, and most non-otakus find is very strange, which is their problem, not ours 3nodding BUT, truthfully, I still dearly love Sasuke, but not in an OCD type of way. What's freaking AWESOME is that one of my friends looks so much like Sasuke... that it wholesomely is sort of creepy... in a hot way. They have the same hair blaugh But not on purpose, which is to even more of my amusement... woo!!! THEN you can be obsessive, lol.

This reminds me of someone on DA.
I was browzing around, ya know, being me. I came to this person's profile and I wanted to see if they had any SasuSaku art. ALL THEY HAD WAS PICTURES OF THEMSELF, KISSING/MAKINGOUT WITH SASUKE. She even drew their kids, and a picture of her throwing Sakura's baby off a cliff. It was quite horrific to my eyes at the time and so I had to take a shower to get the 'nayasties' off of me. I hate it when people take things that far. Liek, I used to joke around saying 'Oh, Sesshomaru is my boyfriend!' but it was all fun and games......
