Amadet was off for a short walk on her own, keeping an eye out for any of the cubs that were nearby. They'd been taught not to go too far away, and were excellent listeners, so as long as one paid a bit of attention they rarely got far away. Not to mention the area had been fairly safe lately, everyone was getting along, Gharadi fit in perfectly.. time for Amadet to go off was getting closer and closer, and she couldn't help but think about it. She could suggest it now, even, but she was hesitant.

Removing herself from the crowd was almost like an experiment to see what would happened, she'd not been far away before- and even now she was definitely in view and reachable. When she was satisfied with where she was, she took a seat in the grass and looked back off in the direction her family was.

Moo'abu was close behind her mommy, even if she hadn't really noticed, which made Moyo pout a little bit. But she was trying to be sneaky, seeing where her mommy was wandering off to. She watched her, stayed in hte grass not too far away tail swaying behind her as she contemplated bounding out to try and attack her mother's tail.

Though she thought that wasn't the best idea in her opinion.

Least for now.

But she seemed quiet, was something wrong with mommy? Was she okay? Tilting her head she watched her mother with wide eyes. Moyo'abu confused on what was going on.

Amadet tensed imperceptibly at the sound of an odd rustle= in the grass, and without moving her head she took a look around. The lioness was not a master of knowing everything that was going on around her but she was a well practiced rogue who knew the value of paying attention. It sounded like someone had tagged along without her noticing, and it took a moment of scanning the area before she found what she was looking for. A bit of blue told her it was one of two girls she knew, but the fact it was not a lot of blue was most telling.

She smiled.

"Moyo, you have to keep your tail still if you want to stay hidden," Amadet called out.

Moyo'abu crouched down, ears flat against her skull when she heard her mommy address her, eyes wide she wondered if she should show herself, but that was a silly question, mommy knew she was there already. Moyo scooted out from the grass, still crouched down looking as if she had stolen a scrap of meat of her siblings.

Darned.

"Are you mad at me mommy?" she was referring to the following of her, but also the lack of good hiding as well.

She wanted to make her mother proud of her.

Amadet couldn't help but smile more when her daughter came out looking so ashamed, it was a rather funny reaction to getting caught. Especially after getting so far. Whens he asked if she was mad, Amadet shook her head at one.

"Don't be silly, dear," she reassured the cub at once, "You did very well getting out here without me noticing, you just have to keep your tail still." The lioness was proud of her daughter, naturally but also for proving that she was already well on her way to mastering a very important skill.

Moyo'abu walked a circle around her mommy, almost in a prance and settled by one of her paws, almost curling around it, purring softly and nuzzling it with her cheek. "Okay mommy, I'll keep my tail still next time, then you won't know what happened when I catch your tail!" she said with a grin, she'd get her mom off guard one day, one day perhaps sooner than later.

But only if she watched her tail better.

"What are you doing out here mommy huh?"

"Oh, I don't know about that!" she said jokingly, testing her daughter's motivation to improve on her hunting skills with a bright smile on her face, "You'd have to be awfully good, do you think you can do that?" Amadet winked, then moved on to answer the question.

"Nothing really, taking a break from the crowd and making sure no one's trying to sneak away," she replied, then chuckled lowly, "I wanted to see if anyone would follow me. Am I that much fun to chase?"

"Oh you will mommy!" Moyo'abu said with a grin, crouching down, narrowing her eyes, a determined expression never fleeting her as her tail flicked behind her, bright eyes on her mother, "I'll get your tail, you'll see! And then when I get bigger, you can teach me other things too with daddy! It'll be fun mom," she said nodding, then rolling onto her side laughing.

"Oh yes, but your my mom, I have to see where you are going, can't let you get lost mom, dad might get worried," she said with a grin.

She loved her family so.

It seemed that suddenly, Amadet's acting skills were being put to the test. Cubs were generally naive and trusting, so she wouldn't be hard to fool- but it was her own daughter, someone who clearly was very attached to her, and that alone made it a difficult conversation. Amadet managed to keep her smile, but swallowed hard before speaking up.

"I couldn't go anywhere if I wanted to! You're too good a hunter already, Moyo," she joked, for it was the easiest way for her to keep a straight face.

Moyo'abu puffed her chest out and held her head high with a smile upon her maw as she beamed with pride. Her mother thought highly of her it seemed, wonderful! Moyo purred and nuzzled herself against her mother's side. "I'll get even better mommy! You and daddy will see, I'll be the best ever!" she said with confidence.

She'd try her best.

"Will you teach me things mommy?" she asked, curious to know if her mother would ahve any helpful hints for the future.

Ambition was a marvelous thing to see in someone so young, and Amadet was happy to encourage it as much as she could. An annoying little nibble in the back of her mind made her worry how Moyo might take her leaving, which prompted her next bit of encouragement.

"We'll always be proud of you," she said, ever smiling and then emphasizing it to make her point, "Always. You got that? But I sincerely doubt anyone could outshine a cub as clever as you!" Had to keep the conversation light, of course.

"What do you think you need the most help with?" she asked, offering to help with whatever Moyo felt she needed the most help with.

"Ummm..." Moyo'abu said aloud, trying to figure out what might be best for her to learn. "I'm not sure mommy, is there anything you think I should know? A move or action, or some type of lesson mommy? You know what I need to know better than everyone!" she said with a smile and a purr.

Moms knew everything.

"Tell me something I should know mommy," she said with a nod, sitting in front of Amadet with eyes peering up, fixated on her.

She wanted to know something important.

Amadet took a moment to look over the eager little cub with a smile on her face as she tried to think of something important that the cub would need to know for hunting. She was pretty good at hiding now, just needed to keep herself calmer. But the good ability to hide partially came, currently, from being so small- and looking at the brightly-marked cub gave her one very clear idea of what would be useful for Moyo to know.

"Even when you master keeping yourself still when stalking, the bigger you get the harder it'll be for you to hide," she said, always smiling encouragingly, "You can hide easily in the tall grass now, but the blue on your back might give you away more readily when you get bigger."

The proud mother leaned down and licked the cub affectionately, "But that just means you have to be even more careful not to be seen or heard. And you're off to a fabulous start."

Moyo'abu smiled and purred as she curled up by her mother and nuzzled her head against her arm. "I'll get better as I get older mommy, and then I'll be the best ever, you won't even know when I sneak up on you!" she said proudly, staying close to her mother. She yawned though, and closed her eyes, wriggled herself snugly against her mother and sighed contently.

This was the life, having mommy close.

She smiled and let her breathing be calm, and couldn't be happier.

She'd show her mommy someday, oh yes she would.
