Ukoo was rather shaken up by the weeks events with that stranger. She hadn't really strayed away from the family in a couple days and also hadn't slept in those days-which her body was adjusting too thankfully. Her seer powers mixed with the slightly tramatic meeting with Roho had freaked her out enough for her not to tell her Mom and Dad-which she should have done. After all-it had been a thread too her life-but something inside her made her brave... What ever it was. It may have been the fact that she had been around her grandfather when he fought with that Maned wolf-and in her dreams she had seen him fight-but it was diffrent. When she witnessed the fight with the wolf-her grandfather had backed down when the wolf fell-yet in her dreams-he had been the one that fell and the opponent backed away, to laugh-but her grandfather had not with the wolf.
She sat in deep thought on the fallen tree-where she felt was a bit safer. She had wandered away again-night time-when everyone was asleep in her family-except her. She had her little paws crossed, the dirty toes wiggling as she thought long and deep about her dreams and experiences. She had a few good dreams-the normal run and jump-cub dreams... and it was almost unnatural too her-even though she was so young. She blinked her red eyes from her chosen spot, where the fallen log met sky. It had wedged itself between two rocks and was still partailly in the ground-a perfect spot to observe the world.
And this was what Ukoo was doing this night. She sighed, her tiny tail curling. For her small time on this earth, she had seen some amazing and scarey things-and she wanted to see more

Pya had always seen Ukoo as a weak lioness. Un-able to stay asleep which was making her very sick, and annoying to be around during the day; with her young mind uneasy without rest left her irritable, or at least it seemed that way to Pya. A pouty brat that just needed to have her head knocked against so she’d stay asleep silently for a while. The large lion cub padded curiously up to the log where Ukoo was staying, he growled out irritated, ”Your gonna be in trouble for being out here Ukoo.” He began climbing up the log to where she was laying, with every stride a small frustrated grunt escaped his chest, then finally he stood only a few feet from where she was laying, ”Your always dragging every body down, I don’t like it.” His cruel crimson eyes stared down to her, how dare she disobey his father, when he’d been so beat up just protecting her. She was weak, no matter what her father said about her being, just sick. She brought every one down, and only begged for more attention. Unknowingly the hairs on the back of his neck began to rise, and his claws began to escape their sheaths.

Ukoo sighed and let her tiny legs dangle over the log-wondering what it would be like to fly off the edge-like a birdy... and to fly around and see things... and be free... She sighed again and shut her eyes. A voice rang out and she turned to see her uncle Pya, her grandfathers son-on the log and looking rather grumpy... like he always did around her. She tried to avoid him sometimes-cause he could be mean too her-and she disliked it... she loved her family but.. he scared her a little and she stiffled a small cry... for she was surprised that he was there so quickly... and that she would prolly get in trouble... cause Pya found her away from everyone.
She sighed and stood up slowly, turning around and sitting down so she could see him. She let a small smile crawl across her face as he said his first phrase. Prolly... She said simply... She was past the getting in trouble-and since the attack-she secretly hoped that the wolf would come back and take her away-so that she wouldn't hurt grammpa again. She winced at his words and the anger in his eyes. She felt tears brim in her eyes and she turned away from Pya sadly.. he didn't like her at all did he? I knows... I tries... but I can't do its. She said sadly, her little voice rattling in her sadness. She hated being weak and sick... she hated it

Pya watched her, and as she just shrugged off his first words he felt the anger begin to boil within his chest and shoulders, the hairs on his back and neck began to rise fully, his claws now completely dug weakly into the surface beneath his feet. A threatening growl escaped his chest, she was making him angry, and no, he didn’t like Ukoo. Only had respect for her around the family, but out here, away from every one. He’d let her know how exactly he felt for her, ”Stop crying! You big BABY!!!” He yelled out the last word and ended with a cub’s frustrated roar. He started to slink towards her, his claws etching into the log beneath him, and his head held low with his teeth bared, ”Try harder! Our entire family is trying to make you feel better! You just keep getting sicker and sicker!” Stopping only an inch from her face he reeled back to strike her across the face with his clawed paw. He was tired of her being weak!

Ukoo felt a rush of emotions fill her as she realized that Pya would hurt her. She shook her head side to side-wanting to tell him that she couldn't help it... just cause he didin't cry didn't mean it wasn't okay!?! I do twy Pya... I do... She said with a sob-cowering in front of him. Images-the ones from her dreams-filled her headwith a rush and she stared at him-unmoving-not breathing-as the vision filled her and she became numb to the outside world and she became lost in her thoughts. She was lucky her claws were out-she may have fallen...
Cowering at the feet of his father-the boy cub dared look up at him with the same red eyes as he. He shook as deep and furious words spilled from the father mouth-splattering the boy with fear and pain. There were small gaping wounds upon the boys back and sides-from his siblings... from their rough play. He had always been diffrent, no fight in him, a female in a males body... he followed his mother too much-and for this his father resented him-hated him... A paw drew back to bash the boy across the face-much too the boys fear. "Father-please?" He managed to stammer before the paw striked him.
Ukoo let out a shuttering gasp, her eyes blinking wildly as her paws gave out slightly under her and her world spun as the vision left her. She could barely see her uncle out of her blurred vision. She grabbed hold of the log-her belly pressed too it...

As she had just finished with her vision his paw made contact with the side of her head, his full body was put behind his blow, not only smacking her violently but also acting like a punch where he’d pushed her head to the side as he made contact. If he did make contact he look back to her with a deathly glare, the same glare that was within her vision. Pya was experiencing Umo’s fathers blind rage, and it’d only be a moment later that he’d attempt to tackle her off the log and to the ground. At the top of his voice he yelled, ”NO YOU DON’T!!!” With Pya’s fierce rage, he would continue to injure poor little Ukoo. ”YOU’RE WEAK UKOO! PATHETIC!!! A BIG BABY!!!” His howls echoed into the night, echoing deep into the cave. Pya was going to far, he’d never experienced this rage before, and though it scared him, he liked how it got his blood pumping. Despite what he was doing, he kind of liked it…

Ukoo screamed shrilly when the paw caught her in the face-her tiny frame loosing its grip on the log and causing her body to slide-her little weak body hanging from the log-far enough off the ground to hurt her if she fell... She felt a pain in her cheek and a pain in her heart-for her family member was hurting her-just like her vision. She had recognized something in her vision and it scared her-her tiny back feet tried to scramble back onto the log-but she couldn't brace herself against it at all. She cried out, looking to Pya for help-her eyes-a brilliant color the same-and yet there was something in her eyes that did not reflect in his-fear...
She tried to pull herself up-panting in her fright... She slide a ways and she cried out in her tiny voice-asking for help... from anyone... anything... Pyaaaaa... She cried-the pain in her bubbling over her cheeks from her eyes-streaking her cheeks with tears. How could he-be so mean?
Just then-her paws slid down and she dangled by one paw-her tiny body wigging off from the log.

Standing over her he bore his claws into the top of her paws, stopping her from falling, looking down his eyes went from furry to pure nothing. His eyes seemed to loose all color, as his emotions seem to just die within him. Looking down to her, his claws dug deeper into her flesh. Standing up right he barely held onto her, and allowed her to slowly fall, ”Your… weak…” Shaking his head slowly he attempted to pry her feet from the log and to let her drop to the ground below.
This wasn’t Pya, this was an old heritage… a heritage that was extinct long ago, when Umo left his fathers pride, when Umo began his own life. How ever, the evil that was embedded into his DNA clawed it’s way to Pya exterior. For now, Pya felt nothing. His anger was completely gone, now his mind was set on destroying Ukoo. It’d take more than Ukoo’s utter cries for help to slow his rage.

Ukoo squeeked when his claws hurt her paws and she stared up at him in fear-for she did not know the anger inside him-or that he would kill her... She whimpered- Pya... She felt her grip loosing against the log and began to cry louder-scared and alone.... When finally her paws slipped and she fell-her tiny shriek loud and full of pain...
Lucky for her her landing was soft.
Umo had heard the childs cries and instantly ran to her aid. He had images of the maned wolf attacking he again-but to his surprise and sorrow-it was not. The image of his son-with his paws easing Ukoo down off the log-brought anger and fury too his own heart. He sprang, praying too the gods that he did not miss-for Ukoo being as sick as ill as she was-would not recover... He reached out and snatched her-his black pelt making it almost invisible to see-only little Ukoo's red eyes and a pair of larger ones....
Feel the wrath of daddy. He set Ukoo down on the ground in one quick motion and sprang upon the log-seizing up his son quickly by his scruff. The log gave way under Umo's pushing away from it and crumbled, leaving the smell of moss and wetness in the air as Ukoo's little cries were followed by Umo's angered voice.
What is going on here!?! He said, his deep voice quivering as he looked down at the two.
Ukoo shook her head and did not awnser. She did not understand what was going on and she still felt ill to her stomach from the vision she had seen. She simply crawled up to Umo's big paw and wrapped her front paw around it-sobbing into his leg.
She had never known real anger and fury before

Pya had died for a moment, and even when his father snatched him up he made no sound. Which was very different for Pya; he’d always cry out in discomfort as his father scooped him up for a lecture, but now… There as no sound. When he was set down he only stared at Ukoo, when Umo spoke he looked up to him slowly, without emotion, just as his father did, ”I’m weak dad…” Looking down he felt the rush of rage, anger, and evil just wash away like a grain of dust in a thunder storm. His eyes too began to water, looking back to Ukoo, he felt sorry for her. He’d had a one track mind, to get rid of a weakness that couldn’t be helped. The young lioness he just tried to kill, his father holding his own anger back. Looking back up to Umo only tears escaped his eyes, and the sound of quiet sobs shook his body. ”I… I’m a monster dad!” He attempted to crawl away from his father, feeling afraid for his own life now; and feeling disgusted and confused with his own actions against his niece. ”I tried to kill her!” He yelled at the top of his voice through his tears, ”I tried to kill one of my own family!” His eyes shut as he curled into a tight ball, and shook with sobs, the feeling of guilt and disgust ran through out his entire body and soul. His muscles strained as he curled into the tightest ball that he could muster. ”I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m Sorry! I’m Sorry - - -“ He just kept repeating his apologies over and over again.

Ukoo couldn't comprehend what had happened to her and Pya-why he tried to hurt her... why... everything went wrong. She had only seen that kind of fury in her dreams and her visions. She did not know that real lions-ones close to her-could do such things. She simply went around the back of Umo's leg and nuzzling into his stomach with a stiffled sob. She didn't understand this. She mumbled and stuttered into his fur, not really making sentances but just babbling. That and she wanted to hide-from Pya... he scared her more than anything now.
She had always been careful to stay away from him-cause he didn't like her but... he hated her and despised her for being diffrent. Was the rest of the family the same?!? Did they hate her too for what she was born with... Did they-hate-her-too?
Umo gazed down at his son, a look of fury across his maw. He shook his head-no matter what Pya said and felt-this was the last straw. He would not allow someone like his son to hurt someone he should love. He shook his head... I do not want to hear another word about weakness-and it is not an accuse Pya... weakness?! This is madness!?! He said, shaking his head at Pya and reaching down to pull him closer, getting down so that they were eye to eye. You are not a monster but you certainly are not going to do that again!?! Understand!
He watched as Pya curled into a ball and bent down to pick him up and take him back-but chose not too. He looked too the cub at his side, the one that could very well have been hurt... he shook his head... how could his son think such horrid things. No more Pya... no more crying... you did this and crying will not make it better... I do not want to even hear anything about weakness! Understand! No more Pya... You will appologise to Ukoo and you will not be having fun for a while...
Stop crying and look at me please Pya... be a big boy and look at me my son

Just laying in his tight ball, Pya continued to sob, only listening to what was going on around him, his body and eyes where held together tightly, he was afraid his father was going to beat him, for what he’d done. For once he feared his own father; he began shaking violently with fear. His father’s voice scared him, it sounded so big, and as Pya peeked out from beneath a paw, and his father seemed to have doubled in size! Seeing that he curled into an even tighter ball; His tail sucked into his belly, and his head pressed against the ground with his paws over his face. As his father asked his first question he only nodded his head from under his paws, still shaking with fear and jumped as his father grabbed for him, Pya began to whimper as he cried. When he did cry only tears and sniffles would escape his form, now he shook violently and whimpered.
His father told him to quit crying, but with all his effort he couldn’t; realizing what he’d might have done, to what his father might do put him into a pure traumatic state, to where he just froze and cried. When Umo grabbed him, he had jumped and he quickly rolled to his back with his claws out and his ears folded back, how ever, he was in a peer scared state, not fighting but being completely defensive. He was acting as though Umo would kill him…
Seeing his father inch in, he involuntarily swiped at his face, with claws extended. He hissed out in fear and attempted to squirm away, ”P-p-please d-dad… don’t k-kill m-m-me!” his voice shook just as violently as his body did, it was obvious that Pya was scared for his life. This whole experience was foreign to him, from wanting to kill another person, to looking at it deeper; killing his niece! Then his father coming out looking so big and intimidating. Pya was simply a mess; he’d need to be talked to, maybe with his father and mother. To be sorted out, have all of his questions answered. It became obvious that Pya was holding a lot of emotions in, and keeping even more questions to himself, that many cubs would have just shown and asked.
Looking to his father, his eyes held nothing but a petrified stare...

Ukoo snuggled into her grandfathers leg-feeling his warm fur collect her frightened tears and murmers. She pushed her cheek against his dark fur and gazed over at Pya through tearfilled eyes. Everything had come crashing down on her when he spoke her her-told her she brought everyone down. It was true-she was no good too the family... she should go away. She sniffed her nose, glaring out at Pya from Umo's dark leg.
How come he got to choose everything for everyone? Did everyone tell him to come and tell her she was sick and useless? Was everyone against her? Her tiny feet found new grips on Umo's leg. Was this all a ploy to get her to go away and leave everyone alone... What about Aboina? Her brother? Did he think that too... did he lie to her? Gamm-papapa... " She cooed quietly, at least he liked her enough to not kill her too.
Who else would try?
Umo watched his son curl into a ball and a million thoughts ran through his head? What would he have to do to keep Pya's murderous ways out of the family... for the rest of his life. He had not been affected by Pya's instinctive mode-fluffing up dodging him-but that only made Umo a bit more angry... his son was rebuking him. Then, those words left his sons mouth and he backed away-frozen. Kill him? Why? Since when had Umo ever given out that vibe-that he was murderous? He sat back on his haunches-glad to see his sudden movement hadn't dislodged his grandaughter. He sat, blinking wildly-not sure what to think or say.
He gazed down at Ukoo and saw her looking to Pya so angerly-and he knew that they would not get along for a while or even never. He shook his head-so struck by his childs words that he could barely speak. Pya... what makes you think that in this family-we kill?
No one in this family kills!?! You will remember that-and if I ever catch you doing anything like this again-I-I He could not find anything to say so he simply stopped talking-looking too his sons shaking form.
Ukoo grew furious at her uncle would say that about her grandpapa! She pulled her face out of the thick fur she had been hiding in and spat at him-You's is the killers-not gampapa!. She shook her head back and forth against the fur-her crimson eyes furiuos. What did I evers do to yous? She added, a fresh sob escaped her lips-as trembling sobs escaped her body and she shook-tears and her small cries falling into Umo's leg. She was distraught...
She had done nothing to deserve this

Pya had simply watched his father, shaking violently and puffed up into a pure defensive stance. Looking to Ukoo for a mere second he ignored everything she said, no matter what his father said about family, he still felt as though she was weak and insufficient of having a word on any matter. Including her own life…
His father threatened him again, and this time Pya only turned away and sucked himself against the wall in pure fear, his father threatened him, and this time he left it hanging with what he’d do. Would he kill him if there were ever a next time? Would there ever be a next time? Shaking his head Pya yelled out at the two with angry cries, ”LEAVE ME ALONE!” This simple statement was both harsh and simple. It allowed Pya to sum up all of his thoughts on this matter completely. It wasn’t just his father he pushed away, but his niece. She talked out from his fathers protection, he looked at the two and hissed defensively. The lion cub was filled with confusing thoughts, but it was understood that he would get over this hump of ‘weakness’, and would soon love his entire family. For now, the damage was done, and the evil had to bleed out. Despite what his father said, Pya needed to sort himself out now. Right now, he reacted out of pure immature rage and fear.

Umo looked down to the small puff of fur that shook and was afraid... but... Umo had no patience for this anymore-he needed to sit down and calm down-and let Pya calm down and let Ukoo relax. That was the answer. That and... KIka would be able to help perhaps. She was mother in the eyes of Pya... and perhaps those two would able to work this out better than Umo and he could. Umo simply stood and ignored Pya's statement, grabbing him by his scruff and picking him up. He did not care or let go, no matter how his son fought... They were going home. Umo looked down to Ukoo and nodded too her to follow.
Ukoo glared at Pya and inside a battle raged between her thoughts. Hatred... fear... Her eyes never left Pya and she wondered what cursed him so-caused him this anger... This fury and betrayal too her. She blinked up at her grandfather as he picked up Pya and whisked him away-and she sighed. She had to go home too.. and Grandfather would prolly tell her mommy what happened. She frowned and padded along behind them...
