Long books, like over 300 pages. Esspecially longer ones, you just think: "Aw man! I'm coming to the end, I can just tell... Oh wait, I'm only on page 158! WHOOPEE!"
They just seem to go on forever, and what's even better is when there's a sequal, then you start all over.
Don't you just love long books?

Depends on what you concider long. Personaly my average book is somewhere between 500 and 1000 pages. The only books I really find long are those trillagy books that are an entire series crammed into one. Like the LOTR trillogy book I read, that was well over 3000 pages. Or the Narnia book, all 7 stories crammed into one, also over 3000 pages.

I love long books if the story is good, but if it's like 300 pages of boredom then finally a little bit of action then I would have prefered it to be a short book.

True, of course, being in middle school and not High school, college or done in school, the longest book in my library is Elder, which is somewhere from 600 to 700 I think. I consider 300 long because that's how long the good books are. You all see my point, YAY!

It depends on the reason why the book is long. Sometimes books are long before an author runs around in circles with his or her words. But, on the other hand, a book could be long because it's full of intriuging things.
I can't even explain how at peace I feel with a massive book in my lap. heart

What I consider long is 700 to about 1500. What can I say, most books in my library are about that long. At least, most of the goods one. I'm not saying short books are not good. I just hate it because I can read them in one sitting... sweatdrop

Depends on the book. If I really like a book, I will read it eight times or so in a year, long or short. I'm about to start Dragonsdawn for the fourth time today, and that one is, like, 500 pages with no real chapters.
I can't go anywhere without a book. It doesn't feel safe.

I wouldn't call 300 pages long rather, I consider anything less then 300 pages uncomfortably short sweatdrop
I'm reading alot of Discworld books lately, but started at the wrong place so now I'm reading though the earlier books which are alot shorter, it just feels weird holding a book that's less then 300 pages...

Well It's not my fault. I just can't find any over 600 or 700 or higher. It's just my stupid schools library, good books but not alot of pages. The Public library has nothing good, OR hardly anything over 600 or 700, so I might as well read the good books. When it comes to pages, I say Quality over Quantity.

Sadly, I finished it last year.

I love good long books. There are times however, when even the good books in a long series drag. I've had a few cases where I settle into the next nice thick part of a good series, get about a third of the way in, then went, "This wasn't near the end? I thought this was the climax. How much more can this story do?"

yeah, ya gotta hate when a book drags. not to insult any of you guys who liked it, but there were some times when i thought that harry potter dragged on. sometimes i just felt like saying "get to the action!" i'm with the living tree. the longest book is a dictionary, but the longest GOOD book would be... probably only 650 tops. i've never read anything longer crying
