 ((Recorded from AIM))
Kamaria (11:14:50 PM): Kamaria sat at the coast, nearly fully healed after her horrible encounter with the hungry group of rogues. The wounds on her back legs and shoulders were healing decently, but because of the depth of many, they would certainly scar. They would forever serve Kamaria as reminders to her of the risk she took in order to find the mistweavers. The love she had always felt for her deceased mother was still strong, but wavering in her time of doubt. Why had her mother sent her false directions? Did her mother know what dangers lied within those lands?
Weary from many days without food, Kamaria glanced out towards the setting sun. Soon the day would become dark and she would struggle towards the covering she had found in order to remain protected. Kamaria heard stories of lions that lived on the coast, but she was surprised to simply bump into wanderers. She had hoped that if she found the pride, they might help her. Through her healing, the lioness struggled with the pains that accompanied it.

Mtani (11:25:11 PM): It had been a long trek, but Mtani had finally reached the coast.
He was a wanderer through and through, and he always had been, but for some reason he had never seen the ocean. More than once he had heard about the great body of water, the waves, the soft music it created as it crashed onto the shore, but this was the first time he saw it. Immediately he felt himself relax, unable to resist the soft sounds of the ocean.
But there was someone nearby; Mtani realized it quickly. He wasn't particularly worried, always assuming the best in people. Normally, he would've simply kept to himself, not interfering with anyone's unique beat, but the faint scent of blood was in the air. The lion frowned and turned to look at the dark shape, a silhouette against the setting sun. "Are you okay?"

Kamaria (11:31:42 PM): In her time of pain, Kamaria was unable to enjoy her surroundings. She had come to witness the tranquility and beauty of the oceanside, but hadn't stopped in her worry to actually appreciate where she was. Despite the attack, she had been lucky. Many lions could have suffered worse, or perhaps died in their attempt to flee, but Kamaria had survived. She was alive, healing and becoming able to stand again on her own feet. And though this was the case, she still could not help but dwell on the negativity of it all. Even though she travelled for so long, sought out Gods to speak with and trusted her mother's words, she was rewarded with nothing.
Wallowing in her own self pity, Kamaira almost ignored the voice calling out to her. The last two lions that had visited were young adolescents that could barely tolerate her site. Becoming bitter and lonely, the lioness kept herself hidden in the shadows that stretched out farther as the sun set in the distance. Was this simply another lion that wished to offer her sympathy? The lioness had her fill and was more prepared to remain alone that attempt to reassure someone that she was fine.
Filled with guilt and unable to ignore the voice, Kamaria's voice called out. Her tone was soft, gentle, and clearly scared. "I have certainly seen better days.."
Mtani (11:39:20 PM): Mtani frowned to himself, unsure how to approach the situation. She was clearly in bad shape, not necessarily physically. Finally, in an equally gentle voice, he replied, "May I help you with anything? Food, water? Even company?"
He hesitated, struggling with the decision of whether or not to go towards her. For now, he stayed where he was, not wanting to frighten her. "I only want to help, really."

Kamaria (12:32:39 AM): When the two younger cubs had approached Kamaria, they had been kind and tried to help, but something about the way in which they spoke to her seemed as though they simply offered out of guilt. The site of the mangled lioness, unable to hunt for herself was worth pitying. Kamaria, however, felt as though there was no reason to pity her. She had been warned and went on with her exploration. The scars that decorated her body were almost of her own doing.
When Mtani offered to help, Kamaria thought him just like the others. What would cause a lion to stop in his or her wandering to help a complete stranger? How did he know that Kamaria did not end up the way she was because she attacked someone else? Why did he instinctively trust her? Kamaria said nothing to Mtani after he questioned her, offering food and water. Her stomach growled and she knew that it would be the best thing for her physically, but it was his offer of company that truly peeked her attention. Still Kamaria was silent.
It took until Mtani spoke again, reminding Kamaria that he was there to only help, before she spoke. Her beautiful snow leopard colored pelt peeked from the shadows and she looked him over. Amethyst colored eyes appeared bloodshot from lack of rest, and perhaps tears. "I would appreciate company... but you have no reason to stay here. I do not wish to bother you with my prolems.." Although the lioness was bitter, she was also hurt and lost. Her words held no resentment towards the male.
Mtani (9:47:15 PM): Mtani shook his head, his shaggy mane falling over his eyes, the faint sunlight highlighting the silver streak in his mane. "No reason? Perhaps that's so, but I don't see any good reason not to offer support to an injured lion. Do you? The world could stand more kindness. I can't change the actions of others, but I can do what I personally can, hmm?"
At her last remark, he chuckled softly. "If one keeps their problems bottled up inside, it only does damage in the long run. And if you're alone, who can you tell to prevent this?"

Kamaria (9:57:55 PM): Kamaria watched as the male shook his head and continued to speak to her. She was surprised that her poor social skills had not caused him to eagerly leave. In fact, he commented on how the world could use more kindness, something that the lioness agreed with wholeheartedly. Smiling weakly, Kamaria shifted her posture to get a better look at the male whom she was speaking to. "I agree with you," Kamaria spoke, her voice coming out nearly in a whisper, "But those of us who have witnessed horrible actions of others hesitate when someone genuine comes around.. it is nothing about you in particular..." She trailed off and tried to examine the male now. He spoke in a friendly tone and his body language gave off nothing aggressive. Thus far, she had decent reason to trust him, but Kamaria still remained on edge.
Mtani was rather insightful and Kamaria felt as though she should listen. At this point in her life, however, she seemed to be rather stubborn. Since the attack, the original part of Kamaria was hidden away by a new, overly cautious, frightened lioness. And while the part kept in the back of her mind always urged her to trust them, she couldn't bring herself to do it completely.
Mtani (10:13:13 PM): "Ah, and that is simply a fact of the world as we know it," he said sadly. "There are those who cause harm, and then their victims..." he made sure to keep his tone gentle and soft, "...lose faith in the innate goodness of others. Correct? Then, those who are genuinely good are discouraged when their offers of help are not accepted, and in rare instances, they too turn to violence, finding no satisfaction in helping."
He shook his head. "It's a vicious cycle. I will never understand those who take pleasure in harming others."

Kamaria (10:31:59 PM): Kamaria, who had been so caught up in her own upsetting thoughts had never thought of how her behavior might have bothered those who had tried, in their own ways, to help her in her time of need. She pushed them away and told them she was fine without their help. For those who tried so hard to make a difference, she was simply becoming another negative impression left on them. The lioness' ears lowered to the top of her head at the thought. And the two she met earlier were both young males. She hoped that she hadn't wounded their prides, or spirits.
Looking over to Mtani, Kamaria offered a brighter smile and continued to add to their conversation, "I don't understand as well, but I suppose it is these sad moments of ours lives that allow us to truly enjoy and appreciate friendly conversations and those who go out of their way to help.." Mtani had many good points and Kamaria was glad that he spoke them, not hesitating when she almost pushed him away.
Mtani (11:05:10 PM): Mtani was a friendly sort, never pushing too hard but not backing down if he felt he could help somehow. The brightened tone she took made him smile as well, feeling a bit better about the situation now that she wasn't so frightened.
"I think that's very true, er... I'm sorry, I didn't get your name. I'm Mtani."

Kamaria (11:11:30 PM): Kamaria wasn't surprised that she had forgotten to introduce herself. She had certainly changed in a weeks time. Taking a polite and short bow as to not move so much, the lioness offered her own name in exchange for his. "Oh, I am sorry for that.. I am Kamaria.." She was glad that he had given her his and thought carefully on it. She knew much of names, having been told by her mother that a lions name was carefully chosen for each individual and that many did not place as great of an importance as there needed to be. "It means..of the family, does it not?" She asked, smiling brighter now that she had put a connection to his name. "A great name for a lion, I think. Do y-" Kamaria cut herself of. The subject of families for rogues was often times a rather upsetting route to take. If Mtani had none to speak of, then Kamaria did not wish to be the one to inspire upsetting thoughts.
Mtani (11:19:19 PM): "Kamaria, a nice name for a nice lioness."
He smiled at her comment, blue eyes sparkling. "Yes, it does." When she cut herself off, he took a guess at what she meant. "No, I don't have a family. Not yet, at least. I hope to have one someday, but until then, I am content to wander as I do, wherever my paws may take me." After a moment, he continued, "Do you have a family, Kamaria? I don't meant to upset you, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Kamaria (11:31:30 PM): Kamaria had often been complemented on her name and she always had the same response, "It was the name chosen by my mother. She said when I was born, the name simply came to her. There were no other names that she debated with. And I seem to agree with her. The names means 'like the moon'." And as Kamaria spoke, so fondly of her mother, her face seemed to light up. Even with the false route she had been sent on and the attack, the lioness seemed to so easily forget that it was her mother's doing. Her mother was the subject of many conversations with strangers. Her mother was, for all her life, all she had. Turning her head to nudge the white runes on her hip, she continued on, "My mother also said that the strange markings on my hip mean moon in some foreign language.."
As Mtani smiled, Kamaria's cheeks became a pale shade of pink. How could she go off on a rant about her own mother? How could the male want to hear about a complete stranger that had passed away? Feeling rather silly, the lioness listened to what he had to say, glad that her slip up did not upset him. "Oh.. I am much like you. A wanderer, in search of some place to belong. I once thought I knew where to go, but am doubting myself. I think there are so many places to explore, so many lions to get to know.. I don't understand how someone can ever settle down in one pride and call it home.. how do you know if it's right?" And in a rather hopeless romantic tone, the lioness continued, her cheeks becoming brighter, "I suppose if one found a reason to belong, nothing else would matter.."
Mtani (9:16:56 PM): Mtani chuckled to himself, unable to listen to Kamaria without smiling. Family was important to him, even though he had none anymore, and knowing that someone else treasured that relationship brightened his spirits. "It sounds as though you had a very good relationship with your mother. I did, too, as with my father. They aren't around any more, but the memories always will be, hmm?"
He nodded. "For all my life I've traveled. I've seen many things and now I hope to find the place that I'm meant to be, to settle down. But it must be perfect, because what other reason is there to settle? There are too many things to see, creatures to meet. I will never understand why anyone stays in one place their entire life."

Kamaria (9:42:17 PM): Kamaria had been in such an awful state for so long. She blamed herself for trusting her mother, when it had been so long. Still, she was bitter and hurt, but Mtani brightened her up. As the two of them spoke, she could temporarily forget about the pain in her back legs. Their simple conversation was enough to give her some faith. She had much in common with this male it seemed. Filled with warmth and excitement, Kamaria spoke much more quickly and felt a bit embarassed. She nearly toppled over her own words. She spoke far too much of her mother.
As Mtani mentioned his father, Kamaria's ears shifted curiously. She spoke so much of her mother and yet knew nothing of her father. Perhaps the closeness between her and her mother was due to the fact that there was no other parent to shift her attention and love to. "Yes.. I was very close to my mother.. Sadly, I don't even know my father."
And as though Mtani read Kamaria's mind, he spoke of adventure, exploring and meeting new liones and creatures. Kamaria's purple eyes lit up and she shifted her posture to sit up and get a better look at him. "I agree! There must be so many different prides to choose from! Have you anyone to acompany you in your travels? Perhaps if it wouldn't be so bold of me to say..."
Mtani (9:50:46 PM): "I'm not sure," he said thoughtfully, tilting his head. "I would enjoy company but I tend to be very flighty in my decisions. I'm afraid it might not work too well, because I would hate to be the one making all the decisions." The lion thought for a moment. He truly enjoyed the company of the lioness and did not want to simply walk away and never see her again. "Perhaps we could choose a meeting ground," he said. "Like here, on the coast, for instance. If you happen to be going the way that I go, then I would be honored to have your company. But, I don't want to restrict your freedom. Instead, we could meet here at the full moon and tell each other our tales. It might help both of us find the place we need to be."
