My mind's made up, I'm going after Mat. Noyana thought to herself. A royal family divided wasn't a family at all. However, her paws weren't leading her to the border quite yet. They were heading to a familiar den, one of Dahabu'Chaka, Noyana's best friend. She'd learned recently that Chaka wasn't really a lion, but a jackal, but that would break her friend's heart, so she kept that truth to herself.
She had seen less and less of Chaka since she had had her pup, Simba. Noyana knew she loved the cute little boy, and Noy had seen him once. He, too, thought he was a lion, it was really quite cute.
Today she wasn't coming to play with Chaka and the boy, though. Today she was coming to tell Chaka of some dreadfully important news...

Her pup was out for the day, and Chaka couldn't have been more grateful. As full of energy as she was, she wasn't able to keep up with the furry ball of life that was her son. Therefore, the "lioness" was more than happy to sit on her back in the shade today, letting out a sigh of pleasure. Nothing to do, nobody gnawing on her tail or her ear... Life was good. Of course, she loved her son, he was just wearing her out, and she had needed the break. If only she was by a water hole, only then could she be more relaxed on this day.

Noyana saw her friend up ahead, and fortunately for her, Simba didn't seem to be around. Nice boy, but she had some adult-ish things to discuss. Though she used to hate that line, she now rather liked being able to use it to hint to cubs to buzz off. Funny how the tables turned.
"Chaka, is that you lounging around? You lucky lion!" she said in a friendly tone. She didn't want this to go bad, she still liked Chaka and wanted to stay buddies for as long as she lived... But sometimes ya just gotta split up for a bit.
