Naomi pranced around the forest floor. Her foot steps are light and go unheard as she walks about looking for her fave food, strawberries. Mist was left in her wake, not cause she was scared or hiding but because it was fun to do. It made her feel cool and she liked the way it looked.

Naomi was curled up near the trunk of a tree in the middle of the forest, taking her afternoon nap. The sky had turned gray and the days were becoming cold. Winter was not far, she could tell. Her fragileness gave her more ability to forsee things, normally for protection. Today, though, Naomi sensed something new within the forest, and opened her eyes quickly to see what was about. There was some sort of misty fog hovering in the air. But it wasn't just floating there, spread all around, it was almost in a path, as if it were leading somewhere, or to something. Her feet sprang into action before her mind even had the thought. Naomi began to follow the mist in the direction that it thickened. She figured whatever was creating it, would be closer to that end of the tiny water droplets.

Naomi pranced about. "Come on you dislishious beauty berriy, where are you? There must be one or two more left are here some where. The first frost hasn't even come yet." She whined in her head as she pranced about looking for the little beauties.

The farther Naomi made her way through the misty fog, the less she could see. Finally, however, she came upon a point where she could just barely make out a faint outline of something much larger than her. Something that was emitting a glowing teal color, slightly darker than that of the mist she had been following. Curiousity instead of fear overcame Naomi and she slowly made her way closer. Whatever it was, it wasn't moving as fast as it had been before. As she neared the creature from behind, she recognized what it was, almost at once. However, she had only heard of such creatures from the stories her mother use to tell when she was very little. She had no idea Kirishitsuno's truly existed. Yet there one stand, almost fifteen feet in front of her, sniffing it's way through the forest, in which she supposed were for berries. She stood in amazement, stunned by it's beauty and stature.

Naomi stopped in her tracks, the young Dragon Kiris could feel eyes apon her. She glanced around the forest floor till her crystal, sparkling, blue, eyes spotted a small minya staring at her. At first glance she thought it may have been a baby but a second look told her that it was a runt. She smiled and hopped off into the distance, the fog thickened.

Before Naomi could snap herself back into her normal mindset, the dragon kiri spotted her and darted off again, farther into the forest.
Her first thought had been "nevermind, then, it'll come back eventually; go home."
But, she wasn't ready to go home yet.
Her adventure had only just begun!
Naomi took off in the same direction the kiri had,
but was careful, this time, to keep herself fairly hidden by the bushes and trees throughout the forest.

Naomi body was built for steilth and speed, two things she used now. She had just galloped away in a big circle. The fog cleared and Naomi was now behind the small colourful minya. She just followed her, making no noise, to see how long it would take her to notice that the one she seeked was now behind her.

After walking for what seemed like hours, Naomi began to become weary.
Where on earth had the kiri disappeared to?!
She hadn't thought she was that far behind her.
Thinking of heading home, she reluctantly turned around, but only to see the dragon kiri she had thought she had been following standing infront of her, staring her way.
"But I... thought... you.."
"Weren't you just.."
"Didn't you go.." Naomi murmered.
And then it dawned on her.
Had they been going in a circle this whole time?
A game of cat and mouse, with the cat being confused?
Not about to let her nerves overtake her again, she spoke in the kiri's direction.
"Hello misty kiri!"

The kiris stayed where she was. She didn't move a musel anywhere on her body but it did look all most as if she was smiling. Ello! little one! I'm Naomi whats your name! Said a warm, kind, yet hyper voice inside the small minya's head.

((Haha, I forgot they were telepathic, I was like "wha?!" xD & since I had to go look at the guide, I noticed they're kiris not kiri, so I'll try and remember that one too. xP)) Naomi was staring at the kiris for an answer,
but all she heard was a voice inside her head.
She had been looking at it the whole time, though,
and it had never even opened it's mouth!
The voice she heard said it's name was Naomi, too.
Was she talking to herself? she thought.
But the voice she heard did not sound like her own.
"Boy, I'm loosing it.." she mumbled..
Stepping a few feet closer to the kiris, she spoke again,
"Hello there! Do you talk? Do you have a name?"

Naomi just giggled. Oh your a boy? Ello sir, and I have already told you my name. It's Naomi, pleased to meet you. The voice said again. The Kiris tail started to sway from side to side. So I've told you my name. It's only fair I get to hear your now. The voice said with a giggle as the Kiris did small hops on it's front paws bouncing around..

Naomi was getting a little frustrated, yet freaked out now.
She was almost postive that voice had not been her own,
and the words just did not match up to what she would say
if she were indeed talking to herself.
As she stand contemplating the issue, she suddenly stopped,
an idea having made its way to her head.
Were kiris telepathic?!
She had never remember that part of the story!
It did make sense, though, especially for the moment, so she dared to act upon it.
"Why no, kind lady, I am not a boy, I am indeed a girl, and my name is also Naomi!"
Getting kind of excited now at the thought,
Noami grinned and began bouncily fidgeting in her spot.

Oh so your are a little girl! I thought as much! The voice ring through the minya's head like a christmas bell. I like that name. I wonder why that is. She giggled and reared. Well Naomi where is he nearest berry patch? I'm starved! The Kiris wasn't trying to be pushy or rudy...it's just the way she was when hungry.

Naomi giggled and blushed.
"Over here, over here!" she squeaked.
Naomi took off a little ways and darted around a tree, excited to have someone to talk to and show things to.
"There's tons of good berries just right around this tree!
These are only the blazmaberries, though,
the really good ones are the raspberries or faery berries."
She delightfully nodded.

Naomi trotted off after the girl. A blazmaberry? The Kiris said very confusedly never having even heard of one before. Naomi came up behing the little minya, she felt like a giant standing over her.
