06 Dec 04 - Zaxzi, a very special elder pard, a Seer, came to the Aviary to find new foster parents [guardians] for several special pard eggs he discovered. As a Seer, he knows these eggs will be and are special, and tells us they will require a great deal of care and attention. Zaxzi also mentioned these pards will hatch and grow, each of them gifted [or cursed depending on how they view it] with one of the three majics know to infulence some pards... these being Mages, Seers, and Healers.
The challenge set forth was terribly exciting.. and also terribly frightening. What if I was not a good enough caretaker for the young pard. I have other pards, would they be jealous... so many questions danced about in my mind as I tried to come to a rational answer to the only question I could think of at the time... "Do I want to adopt one of these special pards?"...
07 Dec 04 - After much soul searching and debating, and not a little prodding from my good freind Dazza, I have made up my mind... I approached Britain to see if I could outright adopt one of the magnificent creatures... [to be continued]

23 Jan 05 - I could hardly believe my eyes, Zaxzi showed up in my house! And so, at approximately 3:42 pm, I no longer cared for an egg within a mecha incubator... My beautiful little pardling is growing strong within the confines of it's egg, and has grown enough withing the warmth of the mecha incubator, that it can now be touched, really touched by my hands!!

Since I was afraid I would not win one of these magnificent pards in the competition, I opted to straight out adopt one... which enabled me to recieve my egg a bit sooner than some... on December 8, 2004 I brought this little beauty home <3 <3 <3 Just look how cute it is with it's little wires and tubes ^.^
Awww look ^.^ What a pretty little egg! Our litle shifter egg has been taken out of it's protective mecha egg where is was kept warm (and safe)... Now it is our job to keep it warm and safe as the pardling within grows stronger with each passing day!! -traces a gentle finger lightly across the markings-
And here is the precious bundle of joy that hatched out of that lovely egg <3 We already love her so much, she is so kind and gentle... and quite a bit shy. My precious Yukiko. This sweet little dear was just hatched when this picture was taken ^.^ -looking down at the picture, her unconditional love clearly evident in her shining eyes as they fill with tears of joy-
