Lost. The one day he'd decided to do something important to his outside life and he got lost.
Jesse sighed as he stopped at yet another strange intersection, tilting up his hat and scratching his head in frustration as he glanced around for some indication of where he was supposed to be going - a grocer's that was supposed to be a 'stone's throw away' from his aunt's house. It had been nearly a two hour venture since then. As thus, his feet were throbbing in his boots and his brain was fried from attempting to navigate Aileen's scribbly hand.
Sighing, the young blond cowpoke turned on the heel of his boot, fully intending to walk into the nearest place of business - a small, cozy little corner cafe - to get directions. He got as far as the walking in part before being successfully distracted, the blue eyes catching and sticking to a tiny blue and white doll - better known, he now knew - as an angel. His path changed instantly, body shifting to slow as he neared the table.
"Sorry, but I couldn' help but notice your angel there," he offered to who he presumed was the owner - he couldn't immediately tell from the brief glance of face he got while flashing the trademark grin, something that lasted only a moment before his new obsession called him back to the tinier figure sitting so perfectly poised. "..May I take a look? Or maybe you could tell me a little about her? Gosh, her clothes sure are pretty," he rambled for a moment before silencing himself, hesitantly shifting to a crouch before the table's edge. "I didn't see any like those in the shop," he mumbled, whistling softly to himself.
Aileen could wait a bit longer for her groceries.

It was a pretty peaceful day so far for Mika. No meetings to go till late evening, Theo disappeared to go to school... Finally some time alone. Before he knew it, his feet took him to the little Cafe at the Corner, his favorite place to spend time... Hopefully it wasn't Ailein's shift right now... Mika still felt pretty bad after the last argue, but wasn't ready to try to talk about it yet... After a little peek into the cafe, he knew that his (hopefully still) friend wasn't there. He walked inside with a quiet 'hello', ordered some cocoa, and sat in his favorite place. While he was waiting for his order, he took out Hime and made her sit on the table, so he'll have a good angle view on her. Now he was ready to do some more designs for his princess. He loved the quiet atmosphere of this place, it helped him concentrate. ...well, it was quiet. For around half an hour. And then this...cowboy arrived. Definetely still a boy, he looked very young. And was VERY noisy. It took him a while to understand what exactly was he talking about. He was talking about Hime. Great. Another angel lover. Just what I need. "...is this cafe also becomming an unofficial meeting place for angelic layer fans..?" Because if yes, I'm out of here. "Ofcourse you can see her. And thank you for the compliment." The only thing that made Mika's attitude towards the boy a bit better. "I made it myself." Go on, laugh.

"If it is, I had no idea," the younger male offered, blinking as he finally glanced up to fully take in the angel's dues. He didn't look very old - older than Jesse, but only by a few years at most. Thin, effeminate in the way that he would have put on his full force flirtatious grin if he had been a girl, and apparently creative.
Cool. The cowboy grinned, turning back to the angel to reach out and gently take the doll into his hands, his hands examining her more closely as he carefully handled the garments as if they were made of glass.
"You're really good," he announced at last, a small smile pulling his lips as he moved to set her back into the position she'd began in. "I never would've known it wasn't professionally done if ya hadn't told me - I bet you could make a fair penny sellin' clothes - for angels or for people. I know a good deal'a girls back home would give an arm for somethin' like that." He paused, gesturing to the sketchbook sitting in front of the stranger.
"Looks like I don't needta be tellin' you that, though."

"But it was really nice to hear." Mika finally smiled. He obsered the boy cautiously touching Hime, pretty pleased with the way he was careful with it. "Though I'll probably stick to designing, for at least quite a while. But if everything goes well... Going pro would be pretty interesting." His fingers started playing with the pencil. He really didn't like not having anything to do with his hands. "My name is Mika'il Kahn. And yours?"

"Jesse. Jesse W. Silverson," he greeted, offering out a gloved hand with a 100 watt grin. "Y'can call me J.W., or just J - or, heck, I don't really care," he finally decided with a shrug, his grin fading into a slightly thoughtful expression.
"So, how long've you been playing? Your angel looks really well made, so I don't think she's your first. If she is, you've gotta be some kinda prodigy or somethin'." Then again, he wasn't very well versed in the art of angels - the ones he'd glanced in the hands of other newcomers in the store didn't seem as well put together, though.
Then again, he might still be impressed due to the young dues' professionalism. He couldn't really be sure at this point.

Mika took his hand, nodding slowly. Jesse. He'll remember that. Not J or anything, he never really understood people with initials for their names... But his chain of thoughts was suddenly stopped, when he heard that last comment. Mika couldn't help but burst out with loud laughter. "You've got to be kidding me!" He paused to catch his breath, still laughing. "Not only is she my first angel, I never battled before. Battled? I didn't even start training!" It took him a while to calm down. But really, this was amusing! A prodigy? as if. Hime will probably trip as soon as she touches the layer!

"Really?" He blinked, an astonished look passing over his features. "Wow, I guess you really can't judge on appearances," he mused, head tilting to the side before he grinned.
"But I least I gotcha to laugh. You looked real serious when I walked over here - like you were about to hit me with that great big sketchbook of yours if I asked any more questions."

"You don't have to worry about that. I'd never hit you with it in your head." Mika put a hand on his heart, and looked at the boy. "...I would be too afraid that the cover might bend!" The grin slowly appeared also on his face.

Jesse laughed at that - a loud, cheerful sound full of something pure and untouched in his youth. "I'd do more than bend the cover - this head of mine is hard enough that you might just rip a few pages!"

"Don't you even dare think about that!" Mika hugged his precious sketchbook with a comically scared look on his face, before laughing again. This guy was pretty amusing.

"Wouldn't dream of it," the younger drawled, blinking wide blue eyes innocently and placing a hand over his heart. "Wouldn't be very polite of me or my head to just go around an' rip people's work, now would it? Even if they were hittin' me."
A small grin flashed across his lips before he settled back a bit into the booth, reaching to flick up the brim of his hat.

"Now that's good to hear." Mika smiled to him. "Maybe I won't have to beat you up after all."

"That's a relief - I'm pretty sure you could take me," the cowboy teased, tones almost bordering on good natured affection. Not the specific type one favored a friend with - but a broader, generalization that he liked everyone until they gave him reason not to. "But I'd feel much better off if we decided to never test that."

"Cross my heart," he swore, drawing an 'x' shape across the breast of his jacket as if to add weight to the words. "And if I start to, you can g'head and smack me. Fair?" He laughed again, a wide smile pulling at his lips as his legs folded idly at the knee.
"It'd shame to lose the first person I know here over my bein' an idiot."
