Welcome & Intro

Greetings everyone and welcome to another Harry Potter RP. Role playing is a passion of mine, and here I am again doing that I love to do. I hope that everyone can share in my love for "RPing" as I like to call it in this RP that I've created.

So what is it exactly? It's another RP based on the characters, places, abilities, and tangible items that can be seen in the Harry Potter movies and read in the books. That's about it! Note that there will be some room to branch out from the actual Harry Potter elements, think of this as a way to keep your creativity while at the same time sticking to a general theme. smile

The most important aspect of this RP is to remember that we're not going with the books or movies and the real story of what has happened. Rather, we are jumping into our young adult lives (18+) and going form there. Everyone is alive, and single. If we happen to make relationships along the way, then that's cool.

Story & Background

*Although in canon certian characters are not alive and well, here: they are.*

So we find ourselves in college, the next learning place after Hogwarts School. This next stage in our education is called the Delminaitis' Sorcerers Academy. D.S.A. or 'the Sorcerers Academy as its come to be called, is the home for our heroes in this RP. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are obviously a part of this RP, as well as Fred and George, just to clarify. The list of other members of Dumbledore's army who you can choose from to be in this RP is listed under the Character Skeleton & Profiles post. Remember, you don't have to do what these characters have done, you can even make your own, they are here for you to pick from if you want.

Now that we're all in college, learning new abilities and such, we don't have to worry about the exact names of spells from the Harry Potter series. You can make up your own names for spells, and obviously new spells and classes. We won't spend time in class, this isn't an ordinary 'school RP." We have more important matters to attend to.

Once again, there is trouble in the world. No not Voldemort, someone more serious... Deloris Umbridge. Back from the shadows, she has regained her status in society by claiming that she was under the influence from the imperious curse. Since she was tied close to the Ministry, it didn't look good to lock her up. Now that Voldemort is gone, she's supposedly a good woman. For the most part, she is. She does not go around school, "keeping order and questioning everyone," like she did before. She still wears pink, and a lot of it, but she is actually being normal for once. But her memory of how Hermoine and Harry tricked her still remains in her minds, and she doesn't think well of the rest of the D.A. group either.

Our goals of passing school, playing professional quidditch, solving mysteries, growing up, and getting into trouble are entangled in the drama, tribulations, and obstacles of college life. Our friends, old and new, are all a part of the next stage in our lives, college.

Rules & Guidelines

The Gaia TOS and the specific literate rules of this guild. There are a few specific author rules I'll instate now: When your character is thinking or talking, add color to that text. Yes still use proper punctuation, but also add a color, pick one that you'll use throughout this RP. Text that isn't your character's thoughts or speech stay the standard color. Go with the flow, don't be a bother to the group if it is trying to move in a new direction. We control this new world, using the Harry Potter series as a foundation. Remember that everyone is alive, single, and over 18, so I don't want to see anyone's age be below 18.

IMPORTANT! Since characters like Harry, Fred, and Nigel are different ages in the series, we're going to FORGET that, and make them whatever college age we want. The age minimum is 18 and the maximum is 22. That gives five years for the character to be in the school.

IMPORTANT! This RP does NOT revolve around Harry, Ron, or Herminoe like the series does, so don't feel bad if any certain character is chosen before you found this RP.

Katie felt the warmth on her chest move as her cat stood up to jump off her bunk bed. Her dorm was a six person with a privet bathroom, and common room. Jumping out of bed onto the cold wooden floor made her feet jump. Trying not to wake up the other girls she threw on some old sweats and grabbed her practice broom, and balls. Walking out of the common room watching the other girls and boys in her hall scurrying off to class, she just walked down the hall, to the front door. The quidditch fields grass was tender from the morning dew. As she kicked off the ground and the wind rushed through her hair, she felt at sudden ease.
