You guessed it, this is about Harry Potter based riddles - not just Tom Riddle. smile
RULES: - Please be certain that you are answering the current riddle. - Do not ‘re-answer’ a riddle that has already been answered. - You may discuss the riddle in the thread. - A correct answer is indicated by the person who posted the riddle saying "CORRECT" - The first person to correctly answer the riddle ‘wins’ that riddle. The person must then post a new riddle. - Please number the riddles, it's easier to track which riddle you're answering and avoiding re-answering previous riddles. - This is on an honor system, please do not search for these riddles – you can use the books and other information, but please try to solve them on your own brainpower. It’s more fun that way! - DO NOT, I repeat, do not edit a previous post to change your answer. That will not be tolerated in this thread at all. - Anyone can participate!
I hope this is fun - I love riddles! I'll start:
Riddle #1: Basilisk's fang has just wounded a friend. You have only moments before his life's end. Though one of the bottles below holds the cure, The others hold poisons both fatal and sure. But which of five beakers contains life, not death? You must decide quickly before his last breath.
Inside the five are these infusions four: Evening Nightshade will take him to death's door. Poppy will put him to sleep, but forever; And soul from body Digitalis will sever. Only the Phoenix Tears can save his life. The choice of this one substance will end his strife.
At end and at center, Poppy brings death twice; The Nightshade between them costs no less a price. Pure Digitalis lies on the far side. Its friend to the left has the Phoenix Tears inside. So which of the five bottles to give to your friend? Make the right choice, or his funeral attend.

I may be wrong, but this is the order I came up with.
Death ( P ) Death ( N ) Death ( P ) Life ( PT ) Death ( D )

What happened to the riddle. I like solving riddles... >.< But I'm not too good at making up riddles, either.
Fear us. Hate us. We do not care. Mock us. Hurt us. We do not care.
But know this, puny human: Fear rushes to greet you, Far before I come. But when I come, Be sure to run, little one. I love what you hide, Beneath that weak skin of yours. Expose it, bare it, I'll take it all. In the shadows we wait, A presence to fear. To be cautious, little one. Wherever you are, In the dark, in the day, Wherever you lay. But alas, do you know what to fear?

No, because it said 'in the day' and traditionally vampires are night dwellers....
Perhaps a dementor? Because they want your soul, which is inside you, and you know when they're coming, because you get cold and depressed and afraid...
