The small white female lion cub escaped from her aunt Chau onces again while she was sleeping. She chuckled a tad evily as she croched down in some tall yellow grass. She saw a large open area and behind that a massive ocean of trees. They where green and full of life. This intriged her for she had never seen so many in one place before.
She edged a little closer as she looked to her left then to her right. She then took off in a mad dash over to a rock. She hide beside it again she looked around took another dash for a small ditch. She was being causious as she looked once more before bonding off for the green sea of the jungel.

The dark female lay just outside her small den, the streak of salmon which ran down her spine made her extremely visable even in the dark shadows of the jungle, but she didn't seem to mind. She seemed smug and content in the knowlege that she was safe where she lay. Though she was a small lioness really, her mother and father had both been small lions, she was well toned and well fed, her body sleek and well cared for.
Deep purple eyes peered through the undergrowth as she heard a noise not too far away and her fangs flashed in the sun. Noone was welcome here. Her cubs lay sleeping within the den and any noise was a possible danger to her and her young ones. "Show yourself!" She snapped out in to the greenery, she was far from worried, most noises were just little animals skittering but the scent of lion wafted to her sences and she wasn't going to take any chances with her babes asleep behind her.

Maso collasped breathing heavily as she looked around hearing someone snap. She looked over and saw only the small tips of a paw witch looked wuite scarey to her since this female was on the offence protecting her little ones She took a deep breath then stood up slowly.
"Oh...kay just -gasp- one moment." She said with a small grown she didn't like being ordered but she also did not want to push herself with this unknown being. She moved over finally insight of the other female as she collasped once more her small legs where very tired and she was breathing heavily. Her eyes the noticed the small cub in the den not far from their mother. Inside the small cub rage began to fill. This mother was with her cubs and they looked so peacefull just sleeping there.

Afritti lashed her tail waiting for the lion to show itself only for a little cub to roll out before her. Raising a slender brow the dark female rolled her eyes. "what are you doing here cub? Wheres your mother?" She licked her pale lips moving slightly to block the view of her own cubs. She didn't want them to waken, she had only just gotten them to sleep.
Looking at the small pale figure though her violet eyes searched the cub. Clearly she wasn't alone out here, she was well fed and looked clean which meant she was cared for. Still, who would let a tiny cub wander around on her own? She shook her head remembering her father, even he had given her a guardien, a breif smile rolled over her lips, that guardien still watched over her.
Shaking the thouhts from her mind she pursed her lips. "Should you be out alone? you could get eaten you know?" Not that she truthfully cared very much, this was not her cub it was someone elses, it was their own fault if it got eaten, letting it out alone.

The small cub pushed her self up and got in a defensive pose but it was not that she wanted to fight it was only because she was upset and without being calm and talking about it she showed it with body languae.
"I'm a big girl you know! I don't need a mother that doesn't want me." She said as she glared at the new mother. "Mothers are not the best things in the world to have." She said once more as this new mother could tell she was choking back tears as her little body shook not with fear but with anger and torment.

The dark lioness raised a brow at the snappy little cub and chuckled. "really? well you must have a guardien?" she licked her pale lips. "I could have eaten you just now you know?" pursing her lips the salmon streaked femme gave a bored sort of yawn, she hated emotion so usually ignored them, yes even those of a teary eyed cub.
"Really you shouldn't be out alone stalking people, you were lucky this time, if you'd run in to my mate he probably would have eaten you." She stated rather nonechallantly, though she knew this wasn't true she liked to instill values upon youngsters.

Maso looked at her and growled. "Then why don't you just do it!" She snapped as she let out a huff the sat down her fur still stnading up stright on her back.
"I have a guardian but everytime she sleeps she thinks I do too but guess what I don't!" She yelled alittle then grew silent seeing the cubs move then moved back seeming a bit terrifyed by them.
"I don't see why I should stay with Aunty Chau she thinks she can take care of me but she just can't." said maso getting a little emotional as tear began to welp in her bright red eyes.

Chau? Why did that name sound so familiar. She pursed her lips for a moment, her violet eyes looking thoughtful.She faintly remembered the last litter of her fathers, she of course did not know about Kokas litter she had flown the proverbial coop long before they had come to be, Malikas little though, she knew of them and remembered most of their names.
"Aunty Chau you say? And who is your mother then?" She raised a slim curious brow, she could feel a great curiosity rising within her, was she speaking to a relation?

"My mother?" She said softly as she backed away a little.
"I...I think her name was Kimi...kimiko." She said softly her ears flat and her tail now twitching nervously as she thought about her mother. She could bearly make her out it was a memory of her mother licking her face letting her get the sent of her before she was handed over to Chau.

Afritti'dogo sighed gently and rolled her eyes. She supposed her family must extend further than just her own cubs. It seemed her younger, half sisters had been breeding too. "Chau and Kimiko are my half sisters. Our father was Nyekundu, though you would probably know that if your 'aunt' has had anything to say about anything." She lashed ehr tail a little looking over the cubs head with a sort of far away look.
"Of course I left when they were very young but I remember their names"

The smalle cub female looked a her aunt in a new light she looked beside her she then sat down and looked back to the female.
"Tell me...tell me about my mother please atleast what she looked like. You have to know that right?" she said getting a little persistent and wanting to know about things.
"Please... I do not remember her. All I know is her sent and that is quickly fading." She said softly as she began to tear up alittle.
"I do not wish to forget her...She is my mother after all. I just want to know what she looks like so I can find her and ask her why...why she left me." She said as she closed her eyes as the tears still fell out.

The salmon streaked female pursed her lips. She wondered how the cub could not know about her mother. Didn't Chau tell her? Taking a deep breath the dark female closed her eyes for a moment. Which one was Kimiko. It was almost difficult to remember what all of her sisters looked like. They each had soemthing different to them, they each carried a little of her father and a little opf their mothers.
"Kimiko, she carried no salmon." she looked at the little fire pawed femme and gave a gentle sigh. "She was all white with black markings around her eyes, those markings favoured her mother rather than our father." She raised a brow, why had Kimiko abandoned this cub with another of her sisters? Why did she care?
"You should get along back to Chau now cub, she will be missing you. I have no doubt." She gave a soft grunt lashing ehr tail. This cub was one of her neices,s he did not doubt that she had many reletives out there. Her father after all had many cubs.

Maso bowed softly as she looked back to her aunt. "...Thank you." He said softly before running off out of the jungel thinking of her mother.
"No salmon...and face markings." She said softly as a smile came to her face as she thought of her mother. She slowed down as she came to the exit of the jungel she looked around alittle but then speed off once more under the cover of midday.

Afritti watched the cub go quietly shaking her head she let a sigh roll over her lips. How many reletives did she have out there? It made her laugh but she let the thought roll off her shoulders as she let her head droop back to her paws.
