I was on the bus earlier on and somebody at the back of the bus had their music on so loud I could hear it clearly from where I was sitting at the front. They listened to Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love", followed by Kate Nash "Foundations"! Now, I must make it clear that I don't mind people listening to music on the bus (I do it myself sometimes), but what I DO mind is having to listen to other people's music on their so called "personal" music players. It's bad enough when you get the drumbeat audible to people at the other end of the bus, but when you can hear it so clearly you could sing along to it!! Trouble is, I daren't ask the culprits to turn it down a bit, because I'm scared I'd get beaten up. I satisfy myself with glaring at them.
If I'm listening to music, I do a volume check. I take my earphones out and see if I can still hear the music when they are 10cm away from my ears. If I can, I turn it down.
And don't even get me started on smoking! There was this one woman in town, smoking like a chimney, strutting up and down and talking as loud as she could on her mobile... Did she think she looked cool or something?! Smoking is dangerous. It's addictive and it's one of the most revolting habits ever. It makes me feel physically sick when I smell those disgusting poison sticks.
As for talking loud on mobiles, it does my head in. I accept that sometimes it's necessary (I get told I have to do it sometimes, because I'm quite softly spoken), but, going back to the woman I mentioned above, there were about 4 people around, no cars, and she was almost shouting. It was so quiet! Did she HAVE to?!?! I didn't want to hear about her useless boyfriend!!!
I know I sound like a Grumpy Old Woman, but this got me thinking, what really irritates you?

Omigah, I hate when people do that stuff, tennantsbutterfly.
Some stuff that irritates me:
* When my brother leaves the room and keeps the telly on (compy's near the telly so I can hear it and it bothers me)
* When people diss Doctor Who and Phantom (they die slow, painful deaths D<)
* When people don't turn off lights / close doors before going to bed. I'm usually the last one up, and everyone either leaves doors open (can't have that, it freaks me out if I walk by and it's dark in there) and keep lights on (wasting power much).
* People who interrupt/listen in on conversations
I have quite a few more, but those are some I really hate.

// Oh, there are so many.
-Same as Katy, with the loud music. -Same with the smoking as well. My neighbors always walk around our building smoking the place up. -When people phone me while I'm in church. -Loud mobile conversations, like Fantome said. -When my cat jumps around the house at night. It seriously sounds like someone's broken in. -Bad attempts at a Scottish accent. Like Rose did in Tooth and Claw. I wanted to scratch my ears off with my jumping cat's claws. -The colours red and brown and anything in between. -Annoying, whiny people. -Prissy catty girls who have to look in a mirror every five minutes. There are quite a few at my school. -People who diss Doctor Who, and just science fiction in general. -When my grandparents come over. They always watch those rubbish game shows. -Soap operas. So fake.
And a lot more. Ehm, yeah. That's it for now.

I agree with the loud music bit. My sister does that ALL the time. People who insist upon talking loudly on their phone. People who insist having the volume on their phone turned up so you can hear the person on the other end. Or, people who do both. *grumble-mymom-grumble* Smoking. Not only am I a former asthmatic, but my mom is a respiratory therapist. It really pisses me off when people don't care where they smoke, or throw the ends away on the ground. I definitely agree with the whole 'bad Scottish accent thing'. Or British, for that matter. *cringe* Why didn't I think of this before? People who diss Doctor Who (or Phantom of the Opera, for that matter *nodnod*). They are immediately shunned and/or put in pain. 3nodding People who turn the television on way too loud. And then complain when people talk. ><
Plenty more, oh yeah. I'll list some more when I think of them. =3

... siblings.
Christian fundamentalists In fact, extremists of any religion When people hunt whales, seals and... all other animals basically Really bad music (and loud, too) People who try to be annoying on purpose
... you know, we could all probably go on for days... I know I could. I mean, I don't get irritated very easily, but when you think about it, there are SO many irritating things in the world, it would take days and days to list the majority of them......

Freaj, I agree. There are sooo many.
* People who insist on saying something absolutely sick and disgusting every second word of a conversation.
* Stupid people who believe that they'll get somewhere by cheating off of you.
* Stupid people who blatantly inquire to cheat off of you.
Bad accents kill me... >.o

Lessee
-closed minded people -People who hate a person or people based on sexuality, religion, skin color. -People who think skin color=race( really, if that's the way it should be then why the f*** are we called the HUMAN race?) -Rap music, and the stereotypes that follow it. ( many are true, I've been around people who are those stereotypes to the letter) -People who judge others by who they hang out with -People who have pot bellied pigs as pets -smoking of all kind, pipe, cigarette, I hate marajuana the most, the bathrooms in my old high school reeked of it. -People who think that all christians are closed minded, and will shove their beliefs down you're throat or condemn you to hell if you don't believe the same thing. -People who have a limited vocabulary and insist on cursing every other word.( let us engage ourselves in a celebratory and festive manner similar to one who has achieved a godlike status in the musical genre known as rock)

There are more, but I can't really think right now. The only one I can think of right now is this:
~When people pronounce it "nu-cu-lar" instead of "nu-clee-ar".

Gigglemeister People who think that all christians are closed minded, and will shove their beliefs down you're throat or condemn you to hell if you don't believe the same thing. Thank you! Only some Christians do that, and I'm not one of them. I'm against some things as a Christian, but it's my belief, and I'm not shoving it down your throat. >>;
-People who stereotype you on your looks. -Gossip. Completely diminishes self-esteem. -Taking things out of context..repeatedly.. -Getting away with breaking rules because you're the cool kid..
I'll think of more later.

My grandmother does that, she'd probaly have a heart attack if she found out most of my friends are either athiest or pagan/wiccan. Hell, even my oldest brother has become Wiccan, and he plans on telling her. She once gave me a lecture about how I'll go to hell for having knowlege of other religions, she thought that I was going to convert. xp

She's not a devout Christian (as far as I know...) but she'd still have a dozen dicky-fits if I told her I'm a witch. She is 91, though!

My grandmother is a devout Christian, most definitely, and she'd most likely have a total fit if she found out her youngest grand-daughter is an atheist. Which is why my mother lies to her when they talk on the phone...

That's old, mine's in her 70s, hell, she'd have a fit if I just told her that I don't believe in the church. All of the BS and negativity toward christianity is the church's fault.
