Some Spoilers
Yesterday I read the time magazine and there was an article saying that J.K. Rowling outed Dumbledore as being gay. I was so surprised and would never had suspected it because Rowling gives not hint about it in her books. When I read that he was supposedly in love with Grindewald and when Grindewald turned evil it broke his heart, so that is why he was never in a relationship with any wizard. My whole point is what do you all think of Dumbledore being gay? Do you think that J.K. Rowling should have hinted it in her books?

Whatmy opinion is, is that she is going to give in to writing another book where that becomes more important or more revealed. What hints did she give? I didn't really see any...

In her October US tour, I know Jo spoke about the love affair Dumbledore and Grindelwald had as 18 year olds. And thank you Orna! O thanks LHH! Well now that I know you can sort of see in the DH when Dumbledore wrote letters to Grindewald in a specific sort of way, that I would never write to my friends. I guess I just ignored it and didn't even think twice about it.

I reread the Kings Cross chapter in DH, and I thought some of Dumbledore's diolgue gave away faint hints of his affection towards Grindelwald. But that's just me.

I guess I never thought about it, I thought of Dumbledore like a dude who never realy had time to settle down, and have a family, and Harry was the closest thing he had to a sun.

Oh Im sorry I didnt mean to make you feel dumb, I was just surprised, but you do have a legitimate reason and at least you know know, spreading the awesome news to all the others who were also not yet aware. Very cool of you. Thats what I did when I found out, I just told every single person I knew about it, I was so pleased to hear this new revelation. About the clues in the books, I must say that I did get a bit of a vibe in the last book, but I never took anything from it. But then, a day before I found out, I was getting upset because no one in Harry Potter was homosexual, and I was getting upset because there were so many characters.

Well love solved everything..and in the Forth Book he hugged almost everyone a few times. Not meaning anything some people hug like the family in Full House.

If there where any clues, they must have been very faint clues. Clues that i did not think about and I am pretty sure a lot of people didn't look at them as clues to him being gay. But there are a lot fo people who take time to read everything and think of what it could mean!
I am just happy that JK was not affraid to put a gay guy in the story! Although it does make me mad how people where reconsidering everything, like Harry's meetings with Dumbledore in the 6th book.
