Okay, im going to be as nice about this as possible. How did Neversoft ******** up my favorite game SOOOOOO much?
Let me elaborate.
First, the songlist. No problem with me,of course there are some songs I dont like, but thats a given. On the whole I love it, especialy the inclusion of One, TTFATF, and a crap load of others.(Ive practiced the rythym for One since GHI!)
Anyway, back on point. My problem is mainly with the game itself, the uinderworkings. I swear to God they didnt test this thing at ALL. The boss battles are fun, but they are eithewr two things:very easy(Morello, Slash)
to F-UCKING IMPOSSIBLE!(Lou)Im getting the Unlock SOngs code now I dont feel the least bit guilty about it. Why should I have to torture myself with that twit to play my Dragonforce?. Granted most would just call my ability as the cause for this, but I think im not bad. Not the best, but not bad I do play on Expert, w/ HS which can be a help or a hurt to diffrent people, I know..(Ive beaten Jordan w/ 4stars) I just dont know how your supossed to beat him.
But anyway, point two. The periphials a.k.a. the guitars. I bought a bundle for the PS2. Let just illustrate something to you to show how shity and inferior the Red SG is. We still have our guitar from GHI and it works BETTER than the Red SG. The buttons stick, bad. Iv'e lost because of them sticking. And im hearing about the one that has the removable neck and its giving people hell as well. The evidence is just realy mounting here for me. And the final thing. As I posted in another forum, I feel this series has sold out. Ive never felt that way about anything before. As I said, now I know what fans felt like when Metallica released the Black Album. There are corporate signs EVERYWHERE in the venues, and the charm and quality of Harmonix is absoluteley absent.

But unfortunately,I dont have GH3 yet.(Not till Christmas) But I've played it and the buttons stick like HELL! In my equivelance,it's like putting jelly under the fret buttons

Okay, regarding the boss battle against Lou being "TOO F-UCKING HARD":
Dude, its SUPPOSED to be really hard, its the last battle of the game, and he's not really THAT hard, you just gotta know when to release your specials.
Plus, if you can't beat him, then there's NO WAY you'll beat Through the Fire and Flames
and about them "selling out":
Who cares? its still a good game, so what if they teamed up with a few other people.
And about the SG buttons "sticking":
I have never had my red SG buttons stick, neither has any of my friends, maybe yours was just bad or something.

Only thing I have to agree with you on this one is the Boss Battles. Boss Battles (especially lou on expert) is based off luck more than skill. The items switch every match, and you can "easily" cheat your way using the Whammy Bar trick. They really should've tested this mode a bit more before releasing it as a level in career mode. (don't get me wrong, i love battle mode online, just against a computer just seems so retarded to me)
now about them being a "sell out". It really doesn't matter to me, there could be corporate signs everywhere, as long as the core game is the same, i'm totally fine.
I have the Wii version and I don't have the "sticky" buttons problem "everyone" is talking about. I haven't run across it either. I DO have a cherry SG for the PS2 though, I really don't like the buttons on that one, they feel too stiff.
Either way, I love GH3. My only other gripe would be the added easiness in hitting Hammer ons/Pull Offs. They just feel like they don't require much "skill" as they did in GH2. GH1 was insane for HO/PO, GH2 felt just right. It still is fun though.

Also, Neversoft absolutely WHORES the three button chords. If it was still harmonix, there wouldn't be a green-yellow-orange chord anywhere in the game, and every other chord wouldn't be 3 notes. The-Bull's-s**t

I could play through the song, just whenever I get the lefty flip, that's when i totally die. I wish I had your luck when doing the Lou battle. Took me like half a day -_-. It wasn't until I read about the Whammy trick then it took like 30 minutes. UGH i hate it so much... I like battle mode, I hate battle mode vs the computer. it's just so dumb.

ThePrinceofDarkness666 What's the Whammy Bar Trick? It only works on expert. What you do is play through the entire minute and half of the song first, then: 1. Take a hit from Lou cuz he gets his power up first... hopefully you can survive 2. get your first power up... if it's a whammy power up then you're good (just try to get used to hitting this power up everytime you play or else you'll have one hell of a time doing this over and over) 3. Once you get the whammy, wait until you're almost finish with your part, on his side there'll be just one constant stream of Green notes, you want to throw a whammy at him right before this stream so that he'll miss them all... That'll get you to beat him. Of course, if you don't get a whammy as your first item, you're better off just restarting. I kinda suck I can do well on everything against him except when he throws a lefty flip on me. FOr some reason I can't do that at all -_- and it's really annoying. Boss Battles: Can do without
New Les Paul: Still has the lame whammy bar and strum lever as the X-Plorer to me.
Neversoft = sellouts
Neversoft < Harmonix
Oh yeah, would Neversoft like to explain why Wii/PS2 users don't get The Grim Ripper and the God of Rock?
And for us Wii players....I think we got screwed on the graphics. Granted, the Wii isn't the most powerful system but it can do stuff thats better than PS2 graphics. The game just looks so...papery! gonk
