im just kind of wonderin cus my mom hates the beach and trys to stop me from going cus shes worried that my skin might get too dark... Im just curious if anyone else has the same problem (hopefully no one posted this topic before) smile

Yea, my mom afraid that my skin will get dark too.
But meh...
She only let me go out to the beach in the morning but not at like 12-3pm =

I wish she'd want to learn though. Sunblock is very important folks! For all activity outdoors! AND in winter too!

Where I wanna hold you tight…My mom believes light0tanned skins are nice. They also have a nuance of a healthly skin too. So, she likes to go to the beach to take a bath in the sun. She does it to relax and enjoy a calm day too. It's like a therapy, in fact.
Talking about tanned-skins, I noticed that if you have a very light tanned-skin, you can lose a bit of it during winter. o.o It feels so right

I definitely think so.
My mom hates anything outdoors-y. She even hates vacationing.
I don't know...Asian parents are odd.

I think most Asian moms hate the outdoors xd
My mom doesn't like going to the beach as much because she's a lazy couch potato, and also because:
1. If we camp there, she's afraid we'll get kidnapped by some creepy sea guy or something
2. She thinks all beaches are dirty
3. She'll get bored
4. She can't swim
5. She doesn't understand how people can have fun at the beach
rofl. she's crazy, considering that she came from a country full of beaches (Philippines).
me...I LOVE the beach. I haven't been to any beaches in years and I really want to go. Dx
The best beaches are the private, island-paradise type ones. <3
Go to the Pacific Islands, Hawaii, or Coronado California. They have the best beaches there. heart

ionooo...[i'm chinese, so are my parentals]
my mom actually enjoys the outdoors...
she fishes, camps, and stuff like that
at the beach, she doesn't swim
but she likes to play volleyball
or watch us play with our dad in the water

But I don't think my mom likes the beach.
One : She can't swim.
Two : The water is salty. =S
But she doesn't really mind if we go when were on holidays. .~

My mom loves the beach. She expecially loves walking along the beach in the morning and afternoon, or when my sister and I find a place to mess around in some tide pools xd

My mom really doesn't care, so long as I don't drown it's fine.
I remember her laughing when my skin got so dark from swimming in the beach alot...lol! it was my first time getting sunburned and I was complaining about it. xd

she hates gettin dirty (neat freak)
so natures not a big thing 4 her xp
