ok so if Skip Beat were a movie what actors/actresses do you think would play each character? I was thinking
Tom cruise for Ren
Sandra Bullock for Moko
Dakota Fanning for Maria
and thats all I can think of lol biggrin Im sure there is a better actor that could play Ren (Because I hate Tom Cruise) and if I thought hard enough Im sure could come up with a good perosn to play Sho any ideas?

...I think Dakota Fanning would be better as Sho...

Tom Cruise as Ren?!?!? burning_eyes BLASPHEMY!!!
Orlando Bloom would have been a better choice....>_> (admits she is biased)
Although I also agree that if it were a movie, it would need an asian cast.

True but in Leah's mind, they dont appear asian, lol! Do you ever notice that half the anime characters that exist dont even look asian? 3nodding haha

Do you ever notice that half the anime characters that exist dont even look asian? 3nodding haha well, i dunno. there are times when parents are american and japanese. ren's hair was originally blonde. lol... he looked weird.. well japanese people dye their hair a lot. u know the so called people who hang around shibuya a lot.

Which is why the actress would need to be asian, because they can do those odd switches for emotions. Like in other anime movies!! It's just a specialized acting style that American actors haven't learned.

Maybe for Kyoko Drew Barrymore but I'm not that sure. Kyoko is kind of wild and she was wild in Charlies Angel and she's sweet cause she has done several romantic comedies.
For a live action movie of Skip Beat. The actors (asian or international) have to be really good actors due to the fact that plot has to do with singers and actors, we can't have people with bad acting skills to perform this type of movie.

Dougary Scott for Ren would be interesting, maybe someone like the guy who played Tristan in Tristan and Isolde whose name escapes me. Tom would be a much better Yashiro I would think. I think Sandra is a bit too old for Kanae - though I find her an excelent actress. Personally I think a movie like this could be done better with no name stars and famous actors playing the minor/support roles. (like getting a really famous guy to be Lori or something)

but i don't think he would be able to act out ren who always fakes his smiles,
because james' smiles are very cute and childish.
hehe.
i think that asians would probably fit the role better.
although, many asian actors and actresses that i'm familiar with need better acting skills.
