It's not bad. His distorted voice (when he' talking to Interpol) sounds a little like Jason Marsden.

Overall, I like the English voices better than I assumed I would.

.... Am I the only person in the world who dislikes his voice? It's TOO deep and manly. L IS NOT DEEP AND MANLY. It just... doesn't... FIT.

People forget L IS DEEP AND MANLY.
Look at him! He's like, 6 feet tall!
Look at him in the earlier chapters.
He is manliness personified!

This is true.

L's voice is pretty deep in the Japanese version, so why should it be high and light in the English version?

L's voice is good...
But Light's.......kinda unfit to be Kira.........the voice is not mature enough to be someone who has the brain to kill all criminals in the world...IMO anyway...
Ryuk is ok...

Still prefer the japanese version....Miyano Mamoru and Yamaguchi Kappei did excellent job for this anime... heart

I never said L's voice should be "high and light". But after seeing ep 3, where he speaks more, I still think it's wayyy too deep. It's like, in the japenese, his voice has kind of a dead, apathetic monotony to it. But now in the dubbed... it just doesn't fit him.

I think L's voice is fine. Light sounds like the typical dubbed "anime young guy." The one voice I had some beef with was Ryuk, as I didn't think it sounded sarcastic enough (I don't think sarcastic was the really the word I was looking for, but something's missing)

OMG I know. GAHH. -drools-

I'm like, "Next episode please, I need more L. -drools-"

My God. O.O
XDD

Every time I hear his voice I squee like a rabid giggly fangirl. XD
Really though, that's the first time I've ever been so enthralled on some guy's voice...I think the first time... xD

I didn't like Ryuk's voice.
And I didn't like Light's voice at first, but I'm getting used to it.
But Light's Japanese voice actor was perfection.<3

That's true, there are a lot of added inflections on words that the Japanese L didn't have.

I am holding out for Light's voice with the hope that as the series goes on, the actor will become more comfortable with light's character. The voice I disliked most was Soichirou's. It jut sounds odd to me.
