They were currently in a playroom, far different then anything they were used to with its bright colors, bright lights, and many toys laying all over the place for their use. They seemed a bit overwhelmed by them, by the people, by... pretty much everything. Not to long ago the pair were nothing more the stray dogs running the park as if were their territory and now they were in this strange place with nice people. Needless to say it was a bit of a shock to their systems hence why were they hiding out at the moment.

They had found a pretty, brightly colored blanket with the patterns of many different animals on it. With that, a pair of chairs, and some creativity on their parts Lucius and Uri had made themselves a tent to hide under dragging in a few toys to play with under the safety of the blanket walled sanctuary.

"This place is strange..."

"...but its not to bad I guess though..."

"... how is Mommy gonna find us here?" The words were strung together in such a way that it sounded like one sentence in one voice by anyone that may happen to hear them. Their speech patterns were a bit strange as they would often either speech at the same time or share thoughts.

They peeked out of the tent towards the door before ducking back into it. They were to young to understand what was really going on, or the circumstances that had brought them to this place. All that they knew for sure was their mother wouldn't find them here when she told them to wait for her at the park... even if that were a while ago.

Thusly they were confused.

Within the tent two sets of ears stood up, two sets of eyes peering out from the tent as another boy was let into the playroom. They watched closely the one that had brought him here and wondered idly on who that was. He wasn't long on their minds though as the door closed and he was gone leaving behind the boy with them.

The pair ducked back into the tent quickly, "There is someone else here..."

"... what do we do?" They questioned each other.

They went momentarily quiet as they thought on it before they heard foot steps getting closer and closer, then they did the thing they had done before to chase off people that they were unsure of... Lucius and Uri started to bark hoping to sound intimidating.

Needless to say the pair inside found themselves a bit surprised when the one outside didn't run away. Instead he barked right back at them... This was a most interesting sort of development. The 'door' into the tent opened just a crack, enough so that two eyes could peek out of the tent. One eye was the left eye of Uri while the other was the right eye of Lucius. They found the one they were barking at to be a lot closer then expected, right near to their hiding spot.

"Ahhh... who goes there?" Two voices asked in unison as they inspected Caleb. They were amazed to find that the one standing there was a bit like them. He had golden puppy parts somewhat similar to theirs. This made him that much more interesting.

"Caleb." Two voices repeated, as if testing out his name and weather or not they liked it, they finally nodded though it was hard to tell given only their eyes were showing.

They drew back into the tent looking at each other as they thought it over, they then crawled out of the tent and rose to their feet one standing on either side of Caleb in mirrored stances. They hand their arms crossed, ears turned forward, and their tails were swishing back and forth lazily.

"My name is Lucius." One of them said.

"And I am Uri." The other one told him.

The pair then gave dual smiles, "It is good to meet you Caleb." Both said at the same time. They had decided they liked him, he was after all like they were in that he looked like a puppy too though his coloring was much different.

Lucius and Uri looked at one another a moment before they finally nodded their consent to the idea of playing with the puppy boy, "Sure! It would be fun to play." They said. The pair looked towards Caleb who they had decide was larger thusly he must be older and waited for his lead. Larger meant stronger which meant dominate in their minds, he was for the moment the leader of their temporary pack.

Their eyes widened a little bit, tails swishing like mad behind them and they nodded, "Alright! Ball!" They said in unison, ready more then anything to play with the toy he was told. They scooted apart then, so that the three of them made a triangle shape so that it would be easier to throw the ball around between them. Whether or not they could catch or throw very well was for the moment unknown, they had never really played to much ball so it would be a learning experience.

"Throw to me first!" Lucius called, holding out his hands.

"No, no! Me first! Me first!" Uri said, almost hopping in his excitement.

It was a swish and a miss for Lucius who brought his arms together a moment after the ball passed through them. It bounced off his chest then away, he gave a squeak sound and went for it at the same time that Uri lunged forward which ended up with the two of them in a heap of puppy while the ball rolled off towards the left of Caleb.

The twins moved to disentangle themselves then chased after it, tails wagging rapidly. It would seem as if the pair weren't exactly knowledgeable about how the rules to the game of catch were supposed to go exactly...

The twins paused a moment as the ball was given a little nudge from Caleb and once more escaped the grasp of the three of them. They gave a little barks at it then scrammbled after it on all fours, backsides up in the air as they moved along since their legs were longer then their arms.

"Wait ball!" One called after the rolling object.

"Don't run away!" The other called.

It didn't comply, able to roll amongst a bunch of other toys camouflaging itself rather well. The twins paused in their pursuit, pushing up to their feet as they tried to pick it out among the rainbow of other toys.

"Ahhh... hmm... where'd it go?" Both asked, looking to their friend.
