Guild Wide Manifesto?
Yes, a guild wide manifesto-- which means all of us discussin SasuSaku as it pertains not only to the scenes, development of the story and characters, but also to the themes and plot line of the series as a whole. We're here to pick out the details and tie all together what SasuSaku is to us, and why we believe it is will be canon.
So, where do we start?
First off, lets start pooling together the moments-- that means links to the chapters, manga panels, everything-- and this also includes chapter covers and databook translations.
Yes, we're going that far.
I'd also like, if we could, to do Manga - to - Anime - to - Dub comparisons; sometimes the animation can help us out, and seeing the fansubbed vs dubbed vs scanlation might give us an extra edge if we cover EVERYTHING. (this includes screenshots if we can pull it off).
Who particpates?
Everyone should participate! What wer'e giong to do is pool together all the information at the end and tie it all together--- and everyone who has given their input will be credited. Then we'll post it as a single post, I'll take it over to NF and to LJ and we'll see how well it's recieved.
I want this to be the most comphrehensive, UNBIASED manifesto ever.

I think it would be safe to start with chapter 181, wouldn't you?  The drive to my fandom. The part of the anime that made me bawl like a baby. The Thank You scene. We tend to skip over key details when reading manga - especially during action shots or emotional moments like this. Think about it. SasukeSasuke's in a hurry to get his butt out of Konoha. The more time he spends there, the more danger he's in, yet he's obviously standing there, listening to her. Why does Kishimoto need two panels of the back of his head? Why does he need a close-up of Sasuke's EAR, for the love of all that is good? Sasuke is being tempted. And he knows he has been there for too long already. He has said "I tried to improve here in Konoha, but it's not good enough." He had TRIED to make it work, and he's admitting this - a dent to his pride as an Avenger. Who is he admitting it to? To Sakura. Not to Naruto. To Sakura. Sakura. Sakura is willing to give up her good conscience, her safety and her lifestyle in Konoha to go with Sasuke. If that does not scream 'dedication,' then I honestly don't know what does. For me, one of the most heartwrenching things she says on this page is, "I'll even help you with your revenge." In other words, "I'd murder if we can remain together." People tend to overlook these little gestures - and a lot of people can't understand anything out of context. Maybe if people examined what they were reading a bit more, they'd be able to see that the 'Thank You' scene wasn't just a 'kthnxbye' like some people write it off for? Add on to this please, you guys.

I have the memory of a fish, unfortunately. And the size of this thing sounds overwelming..... it's quite intimidating. My brain pretty much died as soon as I read the announcement. I cannot deal with big projects. .__.;
I may need some time to think things over before I can actually add anything. Or maybe I'll wait until the main parts are covered and just help with the littles things. sweatdrop

XD Somehow, Mel-sempai doesn't strike me as the type to have "the memory of a fish."
It is quite a big idea, huh? But I think it would be fine to take your time on it. I know how irritating it is to remember manga chapters... *tried to remember the chapter of the reunion for forever* o__o;

Adding on to your original post, I'm going to add that when Sasuke thanked Sakura, is was more than the simple thank you it's taken to be.
It has much deeper meaning, which can be found with out having to dive that deep into what we know.
Sasuke hasn't had a family since he was seven.
Five (six?) years later, this girl is telling him how much she loves him from the bottom of her heart.
It had been so long since anyone had told them how much he mattered to them, that he stopped.
Thinking of something to fill this gap in, he said "you're annoying."
Why? I think he meant that she was annoying for making him want to stay to badly.
For tempting him when he had chosen to depart.
Then the thank you.
For Sasuke, saying "thank you" is as hard as saying "I love you" for most people.
Before ch. 181, how many times has Sasuke thanked anyone?
None (at least, not that I can remember razz ).
He was thanking Sakura for never giving up on him, no matter what kind of selfish b*****d he acted like. heart

I shall add my own small bit to the 'Thank-You' scene.
At the end of the scene, we see Sakura laying unconcious on a bench, her face streaked with tears. However, she couldn't have landed there on her own. Sasuke had to have layed her there.
Now, Sasuke was in a rush to leave. He didn't have time to reminisce and say good-bye. Yet, as Nazo said, he stayed and listened to Sakura. He even went to the trouble of making sure she didn't spend the night on the ground, setting her on a bench instead. This shows just how much he cares about her.
And, since we're doing comparisons, I'll compare the manga, the anime, and the dub of the 'Thank-You'.
Manga:
Sasuke: Sakura...Thank-you.
Sakura: Sasuke...-kun...
Anime:
Sasuke: Sakura... Thank-you
Sakura: Sasuke...-kun...
Dub:
Sasuke: Sakura... Thank-you for everything.
Sakura: Sasuke...
Basically, they're all the same. The only real difference is the dub, and it's only different so the dialogue matches up with the lip movement better.
Hm... I might post about other moments later. That's all for now, though.

Script for episode 109 of the english dub. (For reference) Starting with when Sakura and Sasuke meet up as Sasuke's about to leave. Quote: SASU: It's the middle of the night, what're you hanging around here for? SAKU: This is the only road out of the village. SU: You should go to bed. KU: Why, Sasuke... why won't you ever tell me anything? Why is it always silence with you? You never share a single thing- SU: Why should I have to tell you anything? Just keep your nose out of my business. It's none of your concern. KU: I know you hate me. Even from the beginning you could never stand me. Remember, back when we made genin and we were assigned to our three man squads? We were alone together, for the first time, right here on this very spot. You got so mad at me that day. #Cue flashback to episode 3 (?)(correct me if I'm wrong) KU: Think about it, [Naruto] just does whatever comes into his head! But if you don't have parents to tell you, how would you know? He's selfish and bratty. He's all alone. SU: Alone, isolated. KU: Huh? SU: It's not about your parents scolding you, you have no idea what it means to be alone. KU: Wh-why are you saying that? SU: Becaue, you're annoying. #End flashback SU: ...I don't remember that. KU: Yeah, sure. I mean, it was so long ago, right? But still, that's the day when it all began. It was the start of you and me... and Naruto, and Kakashi-sensei. The four of us started going on missions. It was rough back then, everyday was such a challenge. But... more than anything... it was so much fun! I know about your clan, Sasuke, I do. But seeking revenge, that won't bring anyone happiness. Not at all. Not you, and not me. (1) SU: I knew it. I'm not the same as you. I'm traveling a path the rest of you can't follow(2). I know that the four of us have worked together, and for awhile, I thought I could take that road instead. But in the end, I've decided on revenge. That's always been my reason for living. Did you ever consider why Kishi made Sakura the one to find Sasuke leaving the village? Maybe because Naruto would have physically tried to stop him from leaving, but I think it was to create the scene that brought the Naruto fans to love the pairing (at least, some of them). Proving that Sakura isn't just head over heels with a crush, it's blossomed into a true love. And to prove that the icebox, Uchiha Sasuke, has a heart. Cares for the one everyone thinks he hates the most (next to Itachi). If he took a disliking to her, why would he stand there, listening to every word of her plea? Why would he have such a solemn gaze in his eye (anime)? If he hated her, why would he open up to her, not Naruto, in the very beginning? Admit his weakness, his flaw, his life's very purpose, to her?
And, most of all: Why would he leave Konoha if he didn't care for both Sakura and Naruto? He left not only for a better shot at revenge, but to keep his friends safe.
@ the "Thank you" scene- Unfortunately, we don't see his face much after Sakura admits her love. But, to be loved once again after those who originally loved you were murdered, that's pretty deep. Which is ultimately one of the reasons why I think he cares so much for her: Part of him shrugged it off as an annoying affair, but part of him was glad to be appreciated and honored yet again.

Ooh Renee! This sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't really have that much time to work on anything right now, but maybe when I'm off from school around the holidays (when I usually sit around doing nothing ^^ wink I'll contribute. Besides, just recently I was thinking about writing something about the outsiders' view on SasuSaku (by outsiders I mean other characters).
