Ailein didn't go directly home that night. He went to the cafe and pulled out his cellphone. There were a few miss calls and, as he guessed, they were Mika. He dialed the number then hesitated before pushing the talk button and putting it to his ear. He hoped the other wasn't *too* worried about him.
He had so many things to talk to the other about. His home, the Dragon, and most of all, Gabe.

Mika almost had a heart attack when the phone finally called. He was glaring at it since three days! And when he looked at the number. He knew that glaring finally worked.
"Ailein? Ailein, is that you? Thank the gods you finally anwsered! What happened, I was worried sick!!!"
..well, there goes his dignity.

"I-I-I got kicked out." The other replied slowly. He was glad Mika was alright. He smiled and leaned back. "I-I'm sta-staying with a fr-friend..." Now where did he start? "Li-Listen, I ne-need some ad-advice..."

"..A friend...?" At least good, that he was okay.... Mika couldn't help but wonder, what kind of friend is it.... Probably a good one, since he took in Ailein, when the boy was in trouble... For a moment Mika was sad, that he didn't turn to him... but who did he kid? They knew each other only since few days....
"Advice. Sure, anything you need. I'll be glad to help, Ailein, just say it." He smiled a bit, and sat down, still with his phone.

"Well... Its... a G-Guy... hi-his name is G-Gabe and I-I-I'm sta-staying with him. He k-kinda fo-found me... but..."
Ailein trailed off. "L-let me st-start from the be-b-beginning. G-G-Gabe and I met at the ca-cafe...he s-s-saved me from some th-thugs... then we me-met again in the park. W-We tal-talked for a bi-bit and he pre-pretended to be nice. Af-af-after tha-that, w-w-we sta-started to m-m-met in school. Gabe d-do-doesn't really l-like me b-but he put up with me." He w-wasn't ni-nice per s-s-se but he didn't l-l-leave. "
"So I ke-kept fo-following him. I-I-I do-don't know wh-why but I re-really want to s-see him sm-sm-smile. He's s-s-so cold... and I th-think he co-could b-b-be re-really k-kind. S-So I asked to b-b-be his fri-friend and he said a-alright. Th-then I go-got kicked out..."
Anger over took his voice, his stutter fading away. "H-He called me a f**... and said I couldn't come home until 'I wasn't gay anymore' or dressed like a guy. My sister was there just blabbing about how I play with dolls, not even caring. Mom just watched like it was no big deal and he sent me packing."
He inhaled to relax himself then pressed on. "I s-stayed on the st-street a bit. I d-didn't want to bu-bur-burden anyone.... but then I go si-sick. So G-Gabe to-took me to hi-his house and g-g-got my f-fever down. I've b-been sta-staying with him e-e-ever since.... He w-was ni-nicer wh-while I was si-sick but he's ba-back to b-b-being cold again... I w-want to know why so badly... I'm a-a-afraid if I ke-keep asking h-h-he'll kick me o-out."
Nearly an hour later he had finished the story. "S-S-See n-now... I .... I don't know if I-I sh-should ke-keep tr-trying.

Mika sighed, and shook his head at the naiveness of the boy. "...You're telling me, you're staying with a person you just met recently..? Do you know how irresponsible is that? Thank the gods he wasn't some kind of freak or something, but still... And that family of yours... You poor thing, why didn't you call me? You know I would be glad to help... But now, tell me where you are? I'll take you for some hot cocoa, and then we'll talk, okay?"

"I-I ju-just me-met you to-too..." He reminded hesitantly. "I t-t-trust G-Gabe...as for my fa-family..." He exhaled then looked up. "I-I d-d-d-didn't wa-want to bu-bu-burden an-anyone..." He looked around. "Th-The C-Cafe. W-W-where we fi-first m-met. My b-b-break is o-over in an ho-hour. They as-asked me to sta-start working so-soon as I ca-came in to ske-sketch. Sho-short handed."

"Good thing I'm close." Mika said, ignoring the statement about them meeting just recently. "Wait there, I'll be over in five minutes."
He quickly caught his things, and started a run towards the cafe. Hopefully Ailein will be in a good shape...

Ailein set down his phone and closed his eyes. Such a stressful week. He'd upset Gabe and Mika and he just met them both. He rubbed his wrist where Gabe had grabbed it the night before. He couldn't go home though... not until he knew if he was indeed gay or not. If he was, then he could never return but in truth he didn't know what he was. Maybe Mika knew...

The door to the cafe opened widely, as Mika barged into the building. He looked around, wanting to locate Ailein as soon as possible.
...and there he was.
A bit calmer now, Mika walked towards him, and smiled to the boy. "So...here I am. How do you feel?" Oops. bad question. How can he feel, with his family throwing him out like that? "I mean...You were sick. Should you really be working so fast?"

Ailein relaxed when his friend walked over with a smile. "I-I-I've b-b-been b-b-better... G-G-Gabe ma-ma-made sure I sle-slept, a-a-ate, and to-took my m-m-medicine." He ran his fingers through his hair and messed with his ribbon. "S-S-Sorry I wo-wor-worried you..."

"...Gabe, huh?" Seems that name will accompany him till the rest of his life... Oh well, at least he didn't seem to be that bad of a guy...
"So, what is this 'Gabe' like, hm?" Mika ordered two hot cocoas, and sat next to Ailein, ready to hear the rest of the story.

When the boy got his cup of cocoa he stared deeply into it. How did he put Gabe into words? He furrowed his brow then looked up at Mika. "W-well... H-h-he do-doesn't like to be to-touched... H-h-he likes to re-read. He ha-has an an-angel na-named Lyla. H-he le-let me pl-play wi-with he-her."
He content rated on what to say next. "H-H-He ac-acts like a pa-parent wh-when you-your si-sick. He h-has a do-dog na-named Mor-Morag... He a-acts like h-h-he's rea-really po-polite bu-but then if y-you look at his e-eyes they're co-cold." He was on a tangent now. "H-He's no-not v-very ta-talkative bu-but a go-good li-list-listener. He's go-got this pr-pretty b-black ha-hair and ..." Ailein blushed slightly, "I-I-I wa-wanted to br-brush it bu-but he ga-gave me a fla-flat n-no. He's a-a-alot of th-things."

That last comment pinched Mika a bit. He also has pretty black hair, that would be nice to brush, what's wrong with his?!
And what more, this 'Gabe' guy sounded like a pretty bad person. Sure, has a few good sides, but still...Too much bad ones to compare.
"...this doesn't sound too good, you know? He could kick you out any moment since you're not sick anymore..."

The boy swirled his cocoa before drinking it once it had cooled. He understood that Gabe wanted him to leave. He just didn't want to. "I-I-I know... h-he wan-wants me to lea-leave when I s-s-save up the mo-money fo-for my o-own pl-place..."
He shifted uncomfortably. Who knew talking about someone could take such a difficult turn. "I-I-I ju-just w-w-want to ma-make him sm-smile..."
