xd As far as manners go I am very polite and courteous... but when it comes to being lady like I do believe that I am far from it... I burp and curse like a sailor. I hope that I am not the only one... sweatdrop

In front of strangers, I can save the appearances, but when I am in front of friends... Oh my god! I speak loud, I swear with weird Quebec words and I take sexy poses for absolutely nothing xd . My friend find it funny but I find it weird...

I have manners, but when im around family and friends i throw them out the window, lol. my friends and ialways bup around eachother, and my family doesn't mind. But if we go out to eat somewhere, my manners kick in, and im polite as ever. So for me, manners count depending on where i am and who im with.

I'm a bit of both.... when I'm with my friends I don't care what some of them think. But, when I'm with strangers or I don't feel like being weird, I'm polite...

I'm pretty crazy all the time but around other people I am more considerate and am not as wild becaused some people would find that distracting/annoying
at home or at myfriends' houses (if we're close).... there is no mercy! 8D
wearing lolita I'm mor careful and less wild. not because wearing lolita dictates my personality, but because I don't want to get my clothes dirty 4laugh

That sounds about right... except I always spill food on my clothes XD. No matter how hard I try I end up with something on my shirt... I should invest in a bib, a really cute one... that's my next project. lol

I too have manners around strangers but when I’m around friends I hate to say, I can atrociously obnoxious. Of course when wearing lolita I try my best to be polite and mild.

I'm polite at work...well...polite enough XD, when I'm with my brother and best friend, whose more like my sister, Im really playful and I horse around curse etc. You're not the only one. People can't be polite and prestine 24/7.

Me too. I can be polite around strangers, teachers, adults (not parents) and when im in town alone but with my mates.. its a little hard to be that way around strangers when they ask if your going to "have your way with the asian girls", or make sex jokes 24/7/52/FOREVER though somehow I often manage to remain the sain one. confused

I suppose I'm lady-like in my manners. I do not cuss, and use phrases like "I have to potty" rather than "I have to pee." I flat-out refuse to say things such as "fart" or any other unpleasant word.
That aside, I can still be rude, though I suppose it's in more of a clever way than a crude manner.
Oddly enough, concerning my lady-like manners, I'm a boy.

Generally, I'm reserved around people I don't know, unless they belittle me as some guys are keen to do when talking to women, as though wearing a skirt suddenly makes me weak and unable to think at all. rolleyes I have a really terrible reaction to that kind of treatment and will immediately call them a really nasty name before I have the chance to think about what I'm saying. There are some things that just set me off, and there's no way to stop my tongue.
When I'm around my family and friends I do swear and talk rather animatedly, since I was brought up in a house where my dad swears, and actually, my first words were pretty uncouth. Heh. I try to not swear so often, and substitute more interesting words, rather then repeating the same few all the time, or just use milder language, but it's not a quick or simple process. And, sometimes I just don't care.
However, I really dislike burping and flatulating in public. I understand that people don't always burp on purpose, but sometimes, it gets irritating when you're out in public, and some kid keeps on burping loudly, just to get attention.

It does throw people off to see this well dressed woman walking down the street, and then I let out the largest loudest burp anyone has heard... it's funny, really... you would probably get annoyed right away. sweatdrop But it's not like I do it on purpose at all, it just happens.

When I first meet someone I'm usually very polite, or when I'm out in public, or someplace where manners are called for. But when I'm with my friends my manners mysteriously disappear...

I'm actually pretty polite, but it has nothing to do with lolita. I was bought up this way, not to swear, to say my 'Bless you's and my pardons. I laugh with a hand over my mouth because I'm self-conscious of my teeth (typical Brit smile), I sit up straight so I don't ruin my back and I don't let my 'gut hang out' as I always had my mum poking me there to suck it back in (she had five kids and she knows how well stomach muscles have to be to go back to normal after child birth). Not to say I don't like swearing my head off with friends and getting pissed at parties, I love it honestly but manners are just part of me, even if I was raised in a lower middle class family.
