Finally got around to making this thread. This proposal was going to go along with Guild Meetings on the IRC but that seems like it might be coming into being soon enough.

I propose we start doing magick experiments. To explain what I mean, I shall outline an experiment for us to do. If people like it enough, via Guild Meetings over the IRC we can discuss experiments, start new ones, and actively communicate about our ideas in general.

Money Magick Experiment

So let's start out with a few things we'd need.

- N Volunteers. Maybe they have a steady financial income, maybe they don't. Any of these conditions would be stated by the participants beforehand.

- A Money Magick spell that targets a specific person and allows them to attract money, or any financial gain. Also, someone to cast it.

- Honesty. N number of judges [who are not volunteers] to decide on how the results come out.

And now the steps.
1. Gather materials.
2. Out of so many volunteers, some will have the Money Magick spell cast on them and some will not.
3. After a period of time passes, everyone PMs [to a specified judge or several judges] their financial gain/previous financial gain or any oddities in regards to money that had happened to them during the period of time. The spell may be tailored to apply only during this period of time.
4. If there is a gain, be specific. If there are oddities, be specific.
5. We look at the results. Did the spells work? Is magick useless without the psychological element, as some would claim magick is all about?

That was a basic outline. You like? If people are willing to do stuff like this, as I am, it'd be awesome. Other guildies can discuss or propose their own ideas during Guild Meetings [or just here...but that'd be no fun and not making good use of the IRC], and the experiments themselves promote cooperation.

ide be a judge, right now i just actually had some luck with money, and i wana just keep it as it is, so as if anything DID ******** up, it dosent happen on me... cus i aint losing that cash

A side purpose of this is to inspire people to come up with their own ideas. Not just magickal experiments, but other projects related to anything this guild covers.

I will volunteer myself as a subject to cast the spell on, or not too... hm... domokun

Also on a side note, Another thing we could look at is how long would the effect last if no time is specified in the spell.

I'm willing to be a control group person, but that's it. I don't want any money magick spells put on me because I've seen people do that, and all of a sudden people, they know or are related to, die suddenly and they get all the inheritance.

That a spell works by the will energy going out to try and achieve a goal that the caster of the spell wants. Your subconscious mind will do whatever it can to solve a goal. Like when the SRI institute did an experiment of recording a series of numbers that a random number generator recorded, recording those numbers, then letting someone try to "will" the series of numbers to be different, and indeed he did. The man changed the past pretty much, they say, in theory. Or, when I try turning the TV on with sheer willpower and tk and such, affirming " turn on, turn on, you will turn on" repeatedly for a time. I then get fed up and turn it on myself and realize I just got what I wanted, but not "how" I wanted it.

If you want a spell to be safer, be more specific. It decreases the chance of success, but it also increases safety and such.
