Alas had been hanging around Crunch's packlands more and more often, not that she didn't still sleep, eat, and attempt to socialize in her own pack. She just enjoyed the company that Crunch and Gracia offered so much more then the tension she felt in her pack. Today as usual she had taken a morning ocean swim, slunk around to make sur ethe lynx wasn't making trouble, had a light breakfast, and slunk right off.
She dashed to Crunch's lands happily her tail waving behind her in a pink and white streak. She entered the land with a usual amount of noise so Crunch would know it was her before heading to find a spot to catch a quick nap. Alas had been needing little naps to make up for the poor sleep she was getting, paranoid and jumpy in her own pack's den. She was content to drift into a light slumber in a patch of early morning sunlight.Musketeer had been patrolling about trying to make himself useful and see if he could find a morning snack when he heard someone enter the land. He grinned and slunk off to see who it could be hoping he would get to meet some of his new packmates.
Much to the silver males surprise he stumbled upon a pink female, and no relation of his. He made a double check by sniffing slightly and gazing at her side for any unusual markings. That was a double no, he decided with a grin. He put on a charming smile and edged closer before giving a soft snuff into the pink femme's ear and a slight chuckle as she jumped up startled and bared her fangs at him.
He backed up and tilted his head his tail wagging. "Relax princess, I won't hurt you if you won't hurt me..."
He grinned as she relaxed and sat down. "The entrance fee for this land will be one kiss please!" He stood and circled her with a smile before stopping infront of her and giving a bow his front legs streached before him.

Having fallen asleep under a tree near the area where Alas normally came in, Crunch was well hidden behind a bunch of bushes. Ears swiveling about the male heard a sound that made his heart lurch, but the sound of his new pack mate, Musketeers, patrolling eased weariness. Well that was for the alpha a short time before he heard the smooth talking male speak.
'Relax princess, I won't hurt you if you won't hurt me...' the words played in Crunch's ears and at first only the blue tail flickered. However the next sentence got the red bolts to shoot back and reveal the dark blue eyes. 'The entrance fee for this land will be one kiss please!'
Suddenly the slumbering alpha hopped to his feet and looked over his bushes to see Alas and Musketeer. Crunch's ears flattened to his skull and his lips pulled back to exposes his fangs and gums in a silent snarl.
Originally Crunch might not have taken any heed to a simple request of any other border hopper, but not Alas. The blue male let a growl rip from his throat and his teeth clicked together.
"Musketeer, back off. That female is a pack ally and a dear friend of mine. She has no tolls to pay to the likes of you."

Alas had been startled by the silver male, and normally nothing in Crunch's lands startled her. She knew someday she would happen across a packmember she hadn't met, and she assumed this was Snickers the smooth talking brother Gracia had told her about.
She rolled her eyes and shook her head softly frowning slightly as he cricled her and tensing up a bit. "A fee?" She huffed at the rediculous notion of giving anyone a kiss, let alone this strange male.
She stopped as she heard a growl and tensed suddenly before relaxing and letting a smile cross her muzzle once more at the sound of Crunch's voice. Well maybe a kiss wouldn't be so bad as thanks to the alpha for saving her from the situation.
She headed over to greet the dark blue male with a tip of her muzzle lowering her head respectfully before sitting down near him. "I'm sorry for slipping in so early..." she added apologetically. "This is your brother?"
Musketeer was just about to lean forward to collect his prize when Crunch's voice and growl halted him. He turned and listened with a slight nod and backed away from Alas' respectfully.
"A friend? Well then now I know your welcome to pass princess, but I uh wouldn't object to a kiss now and then anyway?" He chuckled and let his eyes rake over her pink form suggestivly.
"Morning Crunch!" He added and tipped his muzzle at his new alpha respectfully. "Just doing my duty." He smirked and sat down to join the conversation, still feeling lucky to have come across a non-related female.
"His brother? Nope no, I suppose I'm his cousin or somesort." He spoke before Crunch could answer. "Can't you tell how much more handsome I am princess?" He laughed. "Guess not..."

Seeing the smile play on Alas' maw eased the sudden tension in the alpha, but his eyes stayed sharp and his canines still showed from the raised lips. But when he looked at the pink femme the dark blue eyes softened as he addressed her. "You're fine Alas."
But Crunch's ears went back again as he stepped into Musketeer's view of the one that had HIS heart. Protectively, lowering his head and his fur bristling up on the whole body of the alpha, his dark eyes locked onto the Silver-gray male before him.
Though Crunch knowing his luck was sure the other male would probably just think him a cranky waker. Which in all honesty being awoken like he just had been, he should have been cranky. After all how many males put on border patrol was to ask strange females for kisses as a toll into another's territory.
Or at least in Alas' case, whose scent was in this general area most often then not, was the holder to the alpha's heart. Hearing Musketeer call Alas pet names, as if he knew her, made the teeth become tightly clenched together.
"Her name is Libenalas and unless asked to do so. Do not call her anything but her respectable name." The words hissed through the tightly clicked fangs as Crunch kept a steady glare on the newest member of his pack. Raising his head up a bit, the eyes narrowed, "Is that clear?"
"If not, you wont have to worry about females. Especially the beautiful Libenalas behind me." Having heard the comment to her question from Musketeer.
Crunch looked at Alas from a profile view, "No, my brother is a dark brown and wouldn't be found dead patrolling."
Hearing a lot of growling it alarmed Gracia some, but thinking it was some strange wolf walking in on Crunch's rare sleep. The omega held back in the woods and continued to eat her fresh kill which was a young hare.

Alas relaxed slowly as Crunch spoke to her and she gave a soft smile sitting down and turning her gaze to the silver male standing opposite her. She was a bit surprised however when Crunch moved to address the male and she leaned forward a bit.
"Alas is fine, Libenalas seems to tie up the tounge really..." She blushed as Crunch called her beautiful, for the second time. She really did like the sound of it, but she wasn't about to say so infront of this new male.
She glanced back at the silver male and shook her head. "I think not..." The idea of kissing the ever so arrogant male was rather intolerable, he didn't even seem very cuddly. "Cousin? how...nice...so your a new member of Crunch's pack?" She didn't relish the idea of having to get past him everytime she wanted to speak alone with Crunch or Gracia.
She turned back and smiled at Crunch. "Actually I think Crunch here has a much more regal bearing..." She nodded at the alpha's words "Snickers is incharge of your hunting party is he not? I really should meet everyone, I feel badly coming in and...startling...anyone." She glanced at Musketeer.
Musketeer backed up as Crunch growled at him and glanced at Alas. "Oh right...well then Alas it is." He looked back at his alpha and lowered his head respectfully.
He tilted his head wondering what he had happened upon and glanced at Alas. "Well technically were...uhh we being my brother and me came to join up or...uhh relations, but were on probation." He nodded softly and looked at Crunch to see that he hadn't upset the alpha anymore.

Crunch hearing Alas address Musketeer and telling him it was fine to be called her nickname, the blue male stepped in a small circle around the pink female before sitting back down on the side he originally occupied. However, the moment the alpha sat down the large front paws extended outwards and Crunch was laying down. It had been only a couple hour nap that the pack leader had snagged before awakening, but he wasn't about to leave Musketeer alone with Alas to go sleep some where.
Listening to the conversation his eyes drifted between the border of his territory and then back to the heart towards the den. What a shame truly, Crunch rarely ever was in the well cleaned den that Gracia kept up. Well maybe he would get some better sleep later that day. Crunch needed the rest bad or he might snap on someone he didn't mean to.
Though his eyes wandered around, a blue ear always stayed on the two in his current company. Every so many words though the blue eyes would slid between the silver wolf and Alas. With a sigh, the blue male decided he didn't want to get more concerned looks from his sister if she heard about his rash behavior. So Crunch spoke from his long silence, lips back down in place.
"You and your brother are doing excellent work," he paused, but then continued, "and don't take the aggression to heart, Musketeer. It's just how I am."
Not being able to really hold herself back any more, Gracia dug a shallow grave for her rabbit and trekked towards the border. Curiosity got the better of her on this day, but when she arrived the view of one of the new males speaking with Alas and Crunch made her pause.
Crunch's tone was bitter and still held bite to it, so she figured he had been the one growling. Go figure, she thought with a soft brief smile. Though it was odd to see her brother so close to Alas. Light blue orbs seemed to judge whither or not to enter. The ridged ends of Crunch's settling bristled fur and the tension she could see from the side in his limbs, almost like he was ready to spring up but held it well to those not keen to knowing the alpha.
Gracia sighed and stepped through the trees, head low but nose working furiously, hearing her brother's last words. The omega's tail gave a friendly wag and in a tender sweet voice, "But don't we all know that." Gracia said to introduce herself into the conversation.

Alas eyed the dark blue alpha curiously, perhaps he lacked sleep the way Gracia had been concerned about. She ought to attempt to coax him to relax a bit and nap, especially now with what seemed to be two new males to help patrol. She moved to sit beside Crunch her tail tentativly draping over his in a comforting gesture.
"I'm sure if Crunch feels your doing well, and being related and all, you'll fit in just fine. I'm not a member of the pack, but I always feel so welcome." She smiled and gave a slight nod. "Crunch is an excellent alpha."
Alas ears perked and her tail wavered slightly, unwilling to loose contact with Crunch's. "Gracia!" She was very pleased to see her friend again.
Musketeer nodded and sprawled out on his side casually his tail making lazy sweeps along the ground. He had to wonder if Crunch was so protective of all females or just this pretty pink one? He had wanted a chance to have a little flirt, but quickly realized it wouldn't be with Alas. No use crying over spilt milk... he thought to himself.
"Thank you, I'm glad you think so, but Butterfinger better stop catching fish or the whole den will reek of it" he chuckled and shook his head.
He twisted around curiously at a new female voice but his nose quickly told him this had to be one of Crunch's sisters. His ears perked and judging her posture and tone of voice he had to guess it wasn't the feisty one. "Hello..." he murmered deeply, no harm in adding a little charm here and there.

Crunch looked over at Alas, feeling her tail comfortingly draped over his, and gave a small half smile. The half side being opposite of Musketeers. So one could interpret the gesture as a sneer or smirk, it just depended on the view. His muscles relaxed a bit, turning his sharp eyes back to the silver male the alpha gave a slight snort of laughter.
"Truthfully I haven't spent enough time in the den to know of the reek caused but the fisher. I'll tell him to eat the fish out of the closed in den the next time I see him. I don't want to hear Snickers complain about his pelt stinking and chasing off any like female to join his harem." Crunch spoke the truth with this. With everything else going on, why would should he have to listen to Snickers complain about a little fish?
But then again, if the alpha was going to sleep in his little spot in the entrance way, he didn't want to be dreaming about fish himself. Holding back an shudder at the thought the alpha happened to prefer elk buck or a moose buck. Both put up good fights and had dangerous arsenals upon their form.
Looking over his should to see his sister slinking out of the trees, he slightly narrowed his eyes at her. But then again quickly forgave the blue and white omega, she was just agreeing with his own words and he couldn't say anything about it. "Good day to you too..." Alas finished his sentence.
Gracia's smile widened when Crunch didn't snap and when Alas called out to her. The tail waved back and forth quicker and she approached the group. Having also noted her brother's tension slackened when Alas got closer.
The femme was stupid enough to question the actions, not know that she was the lowest man...er female...on the totem pole. But it did make her curious at to how Alas had Crunch to tolerable of his personal space being invaded. With a shake of her head, Gracia looked at the party of three.
"Good afternoon all," she said cheerfully and looked at the odd relation in silver-gray fur. "And hello, I'm Gracia if you didn't figure with the screech of my name." She joked with only heartfelt words and taking a seat on the ground across from her brother and before the sprawled out male.
"You're one of the brothers that joined recently, correct?" She questioned and with a slight judgment of his posture she could tell he wasn't the one that constantly brought that fish smell into the den. "And presumably not the one that brings the fish into the den."

Alas smiled at her friend and streached out relaxed beside Crunch. "Seems the pack will be doing well now that you have more members, its nice to see such a tight knit group." She finally gave Musketeer a small smile, but ot for long, she had a feeling the male would have a way of misinterpreting things.
"Fish makes a delightful snack, but its not exactly easy to hide the scent." She wrinkled her nose at the thought of a den filled with fish. She gave a small smirk at the mention of Snickers. "I simply have to meet this brother of yours and see if he's truley as enamoured of himself as you all claim."
Musketeer grinned and sat down looking Gracia over before sliding his paws forward in a bow. "I'm Musketeer, and yes I'm one of the newcomers...I suppose Butterfinger,my brother, is off...fishing...again." He chuckled and shook his head.
"He just likes to be helpful, I'm sure once winter comes around a cache of fish would be welcome, but it won't keep that long." He tilted his head at Alas' words. "I too would like to meet the others, not that Gracia here wouldn't make perfect company." He winked at the blue and white omega.

Crunch didn't say anything about the complements that were going around. He just listened and fought the urge to nuzzle his nose into the soft pink fur of Alas' neck. Instead the alpha just looked at the healer from the side profile and had various thought run through his head. The most defiant one was actually having her just stay with his pack.
The large blue male never really left this area when Libenalas was back in her pack lands. The thought of her being hurt so far away seemed to kill the alpha slowly until she returned. A thought popped into the alpha's head.
Having completely ignored the majority of the conversation, Crunch spoke up. "Alas, how would you feel about heading in to see the den. I don't think you have actually been there, and we, all of us, may actually run into the others on the way."
Gracia looked at Alas and smiled, "Well, I think my brute of a brother is wanting us to get bigger. It will be nice to actually have a larger pack, though I won't be surprised if we have some wanderers that come and go. Though," Gracia glared at the oblivious blue alpha, "..." she lost her words, but shyly finished her words off, "it will be nice to smell different scents of others."
Moving her head towards Musketeers, the Baby Ruth omega smiled. "I'm only joking when I'm pretending to be upset. I don't think I have a single mean bone in my body at all." Hearing the male's name, she put it quickly to memory. "Pleasure meeting you Musketeer, and as for the fish, I can tell your brother a better place to store them without them rotting in the den. We have a very cold waterfall not far away that will help keep them cool and will slow down the decaying rate."
Looking back to Crunch, she was actually a bit concerned he hadn't done anything yet about her little comment about him being a brute. She saw the he was looking at Alas from the corner of his eye still and only slightly did Gracia tilt her head. However, when Crunch spoke up right after Musketeer's flattering words the blue head swiveled back around.
"You're too kind, but I think Crunch is right. We maybe able to cross paths with the others on the way back to the den. If only for showing."

Alas smiled at Crunch and nodded streaching out and standing close beside him. She didn't want to risk giving Musketeer any encouragment, he didn't seem like he need very much, or any.
"That would be nice, I have yet to meet your other two siblings, and Muskteer has a brother, I havent run across him either." Alas wasn't surprised she hadn't bumped into anyone else she always maintained a respectful distance from the heart of Crunch's packlands. Not to mention she had to keep her trail covered incase her own packmates got curious about where she was always slipping off to, though she doubted anyone noticed her absence.
"I'll be gathering up some healing reagents over the next few days before winter gets a hold of all the good plants and roots, I can bring some to your den incase if you need it...I haven't run across any other wolves in the area who can heal. I've always wanted to meet a shaman though, my friend Cupid told me they can heal you with the very energies of Telk." Alas flushed as she realized she was babbling and shook off.
"I'm sorry...I just get so excited about...helping." she smiled sheepishly. Alas knew that her desire to see and do good for everyone made her appear crazy at times. Not to mention the fact she had no family or friends for so long. The harsh struggle to survive as a pink she wolf in Telk had never made her bitter or cynical as it might have with another.
Alas was glad for whatever ability she had to keep things on a positive note, especially now that she had such good friends in Gracia and Crunch.
Musketeer stood and nodded, "I should meet the others and introduce myself."
He listened to Alas curiously, she was quite talented, but Crunch had made it clear that Alas was not the one to flirt with. Pity he thought to himself before moving to walk next to Gracia, a charming escort.
"Don't be sorry your helpful!" he snorted and chuckled. "You must be a close friend to offer your services to this pack and your own."

Crunch looked at the odd eye that Gracia was trying to cover up on giving him. He would have to ask her about it later, it was never a good thing if Gracia was so peculiar, if she noticed something off then he needed to know what it was. That way later he could kill off any oddity around the others, if he could fix it quickly.
But quickly Crunch's mind was back on what Alas was saying and, holding back one of his friendly smiles, he nodded. "Yes, I think it would be wisest to also inform Snickers that he isn't to try any disrespect to you as well," the deep blue eyes flickered harshly over to the silver gray male with a mild growl.
Hearing Alas ramble on about her healing talents and the wish to see a shaman made the deep eyes soften. "No blood, no foul. You're fine with the ramblings, I've seen and heard worse." He gave a daring glare at his sister who was just standing up, as if in that one look saying, "say anything and you will think swimming with the fish."
Crunch at that point also glared at Musketeers as he stood up off the ground. Stretching his long blue and white legs out Crunch nuzzled Alas' neck as if on accident to anyone unaware really of their previous talks, but eyes closed and then quickly moving. Crunch straightened up and "apologized" to Alas. "I'm sorry." Tone genuine, but with just the faintest notion of playfulness.
Standing back up Gracia watched at everyone else spoke. She looked back and forth between the other three wolves and her smile never faded. Though when she spoke it was directed towards Musketeer, "It would be good to also met Butterfingers. That way all the pack knows each other, since not all of us know how to read our sides." The light blue eyes glanced over at Crunch feeling the glare upon her.
She hadn't heard her brother's words and kinda felt foolish for this, but just gave a wavering smile in return as if saying, "I'm not going to say a word about anything."
Though the words the Musketeer spoke made Gracia thing and she looked quickly as Alas, then back at Musketeer, "She is a good friend and truly talented to keep up with both packs. Especially considering hers is growing at a rapid pace."

Alas felt a warm thrill run along her neck as Crunch gave her the slight nuzzle, she flashed him a smile. Alas was finding her thoughts on the blue alpha more and more often. She gently pressed against him before tilting her head and smiling.
"Lead the way..." She moved to follow him carefully so that their scents would intermingle and following her tracks would be hard.
"Thank you Gracia, I'm proud to call you my friends, I'm glad you trust me." She smiled over at the blue and white omega.
"Its the coming of a family that made it seem we were rowing so Gracia...things are calm now." I hope... Alas was glad not to have heard from the lynx in a while, but in the back of her mind she was ever worried.
"Butterfinger is probably in the den he tries to avoid any trouble and since he hasn't met up with the rest of the pack..." Musketeer was quite the opposite his brother, ever ready to headbutt a challenge.
He moved to walk on the end of their little parade near Gracia trying to familiarize himself with the way she and Crunch communicated. He watched as Alas and Crunch moved as well and decided that his new alpha definantly had some emotion for the pretty pink healer. He wondered if Gracia noticed it too.

With a flicker of his tail and now head turned completely against his relatives, the blue alpha gave her a soft smile. "Don't worry about trackers from your pack," he whispered as Alas turned to speak to Gracia.
"OH, Alas, you're not a friend, more like a sister really," Gracia didn't care about what others thought, it related to the truth that she had to speak. Looking at Alas though something told her that the healer wasn't completely at ease. "Of course," she stated though.
Turning to look at her 'escort' Gracia smiled, "So when Butterfingers isn't hunting he is in the den. Won't be too hard to find him then." Though she was trying to keep the air light with soft jokes and everything else she just kept fighting with her eyes. They were so curious on her brother and her friend. What was going on between them?
The light eyes widened as she tried to place the words bursting in her mind together. How could she approach this topic and walk away with all her hide still attached.

Alas nodded at Crunch and relaxed, despite not worrying about anyone following her she kept pressed lightly against Crunch. She couldn't deny the slight brushing of their fur felt nice seeing her white laced paw fall in tandem with his white stocking marked one. She tried to hold back the smile, but it leaked out everytime she looked at him.
She turned to smile back at Gracia and her tail wavered happily. "Oh Gracia you know your like a sister to me as well." She had come to truley view her friend as such, there was no moment chaotic or peaceful that she could not rest her head with Gracia and laugh and smile.
Musketeer nodded at Gracia glancing at the two females as they talked of being sisters. Why did females always spout their emotions? Not that he didn't mind getting a glimpse into them, but didn't they just feel content with a silent bond? Apparently not, he held back a chuckle as Alas exclaimed her sentiments as well.
He turned to Gracia and nodded. "Oh yeah Butterfinger is pretty predictable, he goes to sleep at the same time, wakes up at the same time, and if he dosn't stick his nose in some form of water by the time the day is half done, he can't rest easy." Musketeer held back a chuckle at his brothers antics, he had become so used to them. Slowly though he followed Gracia's gaze wondering if she had made the connections he had been trying to.
