What grade? Not that it matters. My math teacher in high school, but that was because she was ESL. Her problem mainly came from splicing her original language and English together without knowing it.

Eleventh... Honestly, I was talking to the woman when we were discussing her grades, and these are her exact words. Eleventh Grade Honors English Teacher OMG! You're daughter's grades are like perfect! It's like WTF! And here's a note she put on one of her test papers: Test T]-[I5 I5 P3RF3CT!1111!1 WtF |_0|_ I |_0/3 iT!1!!11!! WTF u r /- GR3/-T 5tUD/-||t!!1!! WTF |_0|_ ||00B k333P iT Up!1!1!11!!111!!1!1!1 0]/[G WTF I had trouble figuring out what she said... Looks like she used a translator, doesn't it?

I need a translator to find figure that one out. I'm sorry but that is just sad.
On a different note that is not related to grammar:
Teachers in a high school in my school district have to go through sensitivity training...because one of the English teachers assigned her students to read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This book in on the list of recommended reading for the AP test. It also looks like my school district is going to be sued for this one. And the book is now banned from the high school. What is up with that?

I also ran the teacher's message through a "l33t" translator, and even it couldn't figure it out.

She works under me, but I can't fire her because there have been no significant complaints. I've told her that she cannot use l33t (I feel terrible now...) during teaching hours, or on any e-mails sent to parents and other teachers unless in casual. I have no idea if she's following them, because I haven't had an evaluation for a while.

Well I am not saying it is at all in any way correct for any teacher to use anything other than correct grammar but maybe she thinks since children now these days think it's cool or such to speak in such a...language she can relate if she does the same. Either that or she's tryingt o be cool....or talks on the computer too much.

I talked to the board, and they're saying that as long as she doesn't use that sort of language on shool premises anymore, she can keep her job. What I'm worried about is what she's already taught the students. It's not going to be a good situation for me.
