User ImageUkoo knew she wasn't supposed to wander away from Mommy and Daddy-but her little toes dared her to dance away when everyone was sleeping. Her little dark toes scampered away from the fallen tree they called home-over to where she knew there was mud and dirt and fun things along the water. Her little crimson eyes blinked out into the darkness-curious to what her world was like. Already, she was having the dark spooky dreams that scared her... and made her talk and scared in her sleep.

Now, she had no intrest in sleeping and wanted simply to play while everyone else slept.

So, she tottered along.

Tu had been out from his caves, searching for nearly a week now. He had been having those night mares again. They drove him for a dark lust that he gained in one night. There where thoughts and memories of murder, torture, and pain. Taking his own pains out on those he found guilty for his tragity. The manned wolf had to suffer, so, he would make every lion, from cubs to those who had cubs. In a matter of minutes he’d lost his mother, father, sisters, and brothers. This pain had driven him into insanity, and gave birth to a monster which would kill many cubs and young lions. His nose had been to the ground for nearly and hour and he had picked up on a lion family. It the young hours of the night and Tu knew what time lion families rested, and this was that time… The wolf hunted it’s pray like it was starving; he’d been stalking Ukoo for nearly a half hour and was only meters away. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end and his throat rumbled a threatening but quiet growl. He’d anticipated almost every aspect of her surroundings, where she would possibly run, and how she would possibly attempt to defend herself.

It was only a matter of seconds before he began sprinting towards his pray, silently gliding through the dark blades of grass and small bushes. There where only a few more strides before he’d pounce the enemy…

Ukoo was busy trying to clean her face rather than trying to stay safe. You see-it is very hard to get ones face clean when the paws were equally filthy. For her, the nights of nightmares-the seeress powers creeping out into her-making her scared at times... they were making her wanderlust greater-specially at night when she was lonely while everyone else slept. Her small striped tail twitched as she stood up once again, her paws gathering mud-for her family stayed near water at all times... and her grandmother doted on mud. So, she just learned that Mud was fun and made her dirty-which was what her name meant. Her little bottom weebled side to side-as she walked.

It was a scarey night but her boredness of home chased her away from it. She thought she caught a sound behind her and she turned-only to see a dark red creature with big scarey eyes darting towards her-gosh he was a bagillion times bigger than her. She squeeked, her tiny legs trying to start running but she slipped and slid onto chest. The big nasty thing was almost upon her when-

Umo had heard the litlle one scramble away from the sleeping pile of his family-and he shook his head. His little granddaughter was just as wanderlusty as her mother... and it was Umo's turn to save her.

So he followed, in time to see his grandaughter being followed. It was almost too late before Umo got there. His heart beat rapidly and he almost didn't make it in time to step between the maned wolf and his granddaughter. He let out a deep roar-his voice thick with fury and fear for his little granddaughter. He hovered over her small form-the large and fluffy male he was. Umo was no small lion indeed, healthy and well fed-a father and grandfather... a true warrior. He stared down at the two tone eyed wolf, his fur bristling.

Can I help you? His deep monotone voice bellowed at the red stranger. He felt his temper rising. No one dared to hurt his family.

Ukoo looked up at her grandfather and smiled... grampa was here to save the day.

She was only a second away from having her throat ripped from her chest, and he could almost taste the fresh taste of warm blood dripping down the back of his throat, but his fantasy was interrupted with another larger lion stepping between him and his meal, growling he pushed his legs even harder to try and beat him to the small cub but failed and only able to sprint past the cub and whip around sliding to a stop, and facing the new threat. He began growling, and the rage from his beast pushed him to another level of insanity, and as his chest heaved and growled, saliva dripped from his fangs, his eyes where wide, but his pupils where pin points, focused on his food, Ukoo. It was almost as if Tu hadn’t noticed Umo, his eyes fixed upon the small mammal, the wolf continued to growl and began to circle closer to the two forms. ”There are more cubs isn’t there. If there is one, you’ll find many more…” He paused and barked sending echoes into the night, then began speaking in a threatening tone again, ”Tonight, lion king… I’ll make you pay for bringing these vile creatures into the world…” He stopped circling the pair and faced him straight on and began bolting towards the larger creature, ”Tonight! I SHALL FEAST ON YOURS AND YOU’RE FAMILIES FLESH!!! Tu growled as he sprang high into the air to pounce the large form…

Ukoo shivered from her spot under her grandfather. She stared at the big redish orange monster, her tiny frame so small compared to it. She stared at his big sharp shinny bities ((teeth)) and his scarey paws. She looked up at what she could see of Umo, considering she was under him. Oh the horror. Not only had she had nightmares about nothing-now she would have nightmares about big scarey orange things. She trembled, her tiny voice cooing.

Umo stood over his small grandaughter and he could feel the fury rising. His crimson eyes stared at this intruder-who dared to threaten his family. He growled, his voice deep and masculine. No one dared to threaten those he loved. His true anger and fury had not been revealed for years... since he met kika. He looked down to Ukoo and gave her a look to tell her to stay still and don't move. He looked up at the Wolf-a foreign intruder to Umo's african world; though Umo did not know that or care. He felt his lip curl. You dare threaten anything of my domain? He demanded, his head lowering and ready to tear this Wolf limb from limb. He was threatening his new children-his Taka and his Pya. He snarled.

The words of the wolf plus the attack it made, threw all of Umo's mind out of control. He leapt from his place above Ukoo and at the maned wolf, aiming for anything of this creature, anything to tell it that Cubs were never to be hurt by anyone. His claws rose and extended-reaching out to wrap around the dog and bury its face in its own blood.

Ukoo was scared and frightened and Grandpa was going to make it better. She was instantly petrified when Umo moved from above her and foreward to attack the big monster. She squeeked in her fright-scared cause she wasn't supposed to go anywhere-but... she didn't want to be alone and uncovered. She looked around, her tiny crimson eyes blinking wildly-until she caught sight of a fallen log she had played under days before, and began to run for the small opening that she had to squeeze her tiny self through. Under there, she could hide...

Her tiny paws skidded on the slippery ground-grappling for the log that she would feel safe under.

The wolf was placed in half frenzy and half rage. The combination that drove him to a moment of insanity, pushing him to become a monster. His strange way of dealing with his past... It was nothing more than a loathing hate for cubs, and for those who bring them into the world, but it was this hate that was classified as evil. This lion claimed he brought this one along with others into the world, his goal was to destroy this lion, and to destroy the rest of the family, how ever… he was only a manned wolf, and was only a little bigger than half of Umo’s size. Tu was very large compared to other manned wolves, but this was a fight that would take a team of wolves to win. This wolf was single, but maybe the future would allow him to command an entire pack. ((future plot maybe?))

The two masses collided with a hard thud, Tu how ever was pushed back from Umo’s size and reduced to holding himself up only by his hind legs as his fore legs wrapped around the lions neck. This was to avoid the powerful jaws of the larger creature, but to also allow him to let his muzzle wrap around Umo’s shoulder. No matter what happened Tu pressed his mass against his foes, allowing less surface area that could be harmed by either his claws or his bite. The wolf snarled and thrashed as he attacked…

Umo let out a snarl as the smaller wolf wrapped around his neck and felt the jaws wrap around his own. HE thrashed as well, side to side to see if he could snap the small er creature off. He reached up and tried to scratch the b*****d on the only part of him he could really reach well. He felt flesh catch his claws. How dare he attack Ukoo and how dare he attack him. Damn him damn him.

He felt his own blood dripping and could taste the iron taste of it... and this angered him. He lifted his frame up and brought it down hard against the earth, his head lowered so the soft squishy body of the wolf would colide and be pressed against the earth-and with this Umo thrashed and pushed his entire weight onto the dog.

He snarled just as Ukoo weaseled her way under the log-safe and sound

Tu had successfully torn into the lions throat, the spot where Tu latched on, was tore up, and nearly gushed blood, how ever, the wound would heal in a matter of weeks, and surely wouldn’t be fatal, not what the wolf hoped for, but the weight of the lion crushed Tu and he struggled to move and within a few seconds completely stopped moved, without blood flowing to his head, his body did what it only could to survive and blacked out. His form lain motionless on the cold morning ground; His right leg had been caught by the lions claws, and was bleeding on the ground, not enough to kill him either but if the lion remained on Tu for a long enough time would soon suffocate and kill the wolf. No matter how strong a wolf would be, it’d never be enough to face a lion head on. How ever, monsters didn’t care if they died as long as others died before them, Tu… was a monster.

Umo felt his fury rising quickly with this creep-and his own desire to destroy this wolfs life was growing as well. Everything Umo had been taught from his past life-everything... came from his paws and jaws. Shedding blood was something he did not enjoy but-when the time came-he would not care... As long as his granddaughter was safe-away from the eyes and claws of those who wished harm on her or anyone in his family.

Umo bore his weight down on the creature and when he saw its head fall back-he let out a laugh. Good, let his own blood smother the wolf. He shoved himself more onto the wolfs body-

Ukoo huddled under the tree, her eyes wide and staring at nothing. In her mind, she was reliving the images and sounds she witnessed in her dreams. The sounds of anger and fury. She didn't understand them-but the fact that her grandfather was the one doing it-just like in his dreams-frightened her. She flexed her claws-hearing the sounds of fighting and remembering-

'Her grandfather was younger and he was surrounded by alot of other lions-and there was a larger lion in the middle with him. Umo was afraid and nervous where the other was confidant and strong. The fight began and ended quickly-Umo lost. There was no blood-but the pain of the fight lingered in the air-until Ukoo whimpered and shook her head, lifting herself from the trance-like state.
G-g-g-gaaampa She cried.

Umo felt the urge to rip this creatures viscrea out from his belly grew and he stepped off the creature, ready to sink his teeth into the tender belly-when a small-soft voice filled his ears and his new given name 'grandpa'... He stopped and instantly felt ill-he gazed over at the log and then too the wolf... and sat down. His mind raced-what was he doing-what had he been planning on doing. He shook his head, his mouth agape at the from below him. He couldn't do this-this wasn't him-not anymore. He stared down at the wolf... and hoped he hadn't harmed him forever.

The wolf only laid on the ground for a matter of seconds before he regained consciousness he growled and wriggled from his spot, stumbling a few meters away quickly and standing in a defensive pose his fang where bared and drool and blood dripped from his muzzle menacingly. ”What’s the matter old man, can’t finish off the fight?” Barking frustrated he lunged at the lion again, but a pain shot through his side and dropped him in his spot, his ribs had been bruised and the adrenaline pulsing through his body caused him to not feel the pain but now that he had a second to calm down felt every inch of it. Shutting his eyes from the blinding pain he looked back up half of his face covered in blood and dirt, ”b*****d… he grunted then attempted to stand back up and only managed to gain a few inches towards the lion before he fell back down growling. ”I-I’ll-I’ll TARE YOU TO SHREDS!!!” He began crawling towards the lion snapping and snarling, wanting nothing but to drown in the gallons of blood that Umo had throbbing through his veins.

Umo stared down to the wolf and shook his head. All this anger that had been bottled up inside him for so long-the loss of his son-his past... all his memories had flooded him quickly and sent his head reeling. And this was not what he wanted. He stepped back away from the wolf and looked at him, his eyes soft and crimson as the blood that he wore on his chest. He shook his head-his anger no longer flowing towards the hostile wolf but towards himself... for how he had lost his temper in front of his grandchild, though she did not see it-but the fact was-he would never ever do that again. And this made him feel shameful. He looked down too the wolf. Sorry... I have no desire to carry on with something so childlike He said simply, his deep monotone voice calm.

He then turned and made his way towards the log, hearing his little ukoo's breathing and small murmers. He bent down and smelled the small entrance she had used. He sighed and bent down lower. Ukoo... are you alright?

Ukoo shivered from her spot under the log-hearing labored breathing and panting. She didn't like this one bit and she hoped that her grandpa was okay. She thought over the fact that-her grandfather could not have been there and she gained a respect for her family-more than she had already. She heard paw's approacing her hide away and stared at the hole-but all she could soon see was the dark nose of Umo. She wiggled foreward and pressed her nose too his. Gammpa okay? She asked, staying inside the log until she was told to come out. She was still afraid and wanted assurance that her grandfather was unharmed... but he smelled funny, like mommy and dadddy after they ate. This bothered her but she stayed in.

Gampapapa Ukoo ish okay

The manned wolf stopped for a second, breathing in and out… each breath adding to the fuel of anger, then he forced his muscles up, and forced himself towards the animal that brought cubs into the world… that let more demons tread the earth, more demons to kill more of his kind. Remembering the cold night when his family died he only had one though, kill this animal, kill him and the rest of his kind. Kill until there is nothing left to kill, and then… when there was nothing left to kill, he could die. Die and join the rest of his family, Tu barked as he bolted towards his foe, it was only a matter of seconds and he was pouncing onto the back of Umo, if only he could move with more speed, then this lions death would be quick.. ”I’LL DESTROY YOU-YOU-YOU BAAASSTARD!!!”

Umo smelt her come closer too the entrance and he smiled, glad that she was okay. Her tiny voice assured her-and he opened his mouth to speak to her when the wolf's voice rang out in the cool are and he felt him colide onto his back. Umo reared up and roared savagely. Wouldn't this creature just stop!? His front paws lifted off the ground and his back arched into the air-his mouth agape in roar-his canines pearly white against his red mouth and black hide. This demon-umo felt his fury rising again as his back feet shuffled sideways as Umo slammed himself down onto the ground, in an attempt to throw the b*****d off his back.

Umo's only thought was to protect.

Ukoo stared out at her grandfathers nose, and she reached foreward to poke it to make sure it was his. Her tiny toe touched his nose just momentarily before she heard the stranger and then her grandfathers body was gone. He roared and she shrunk back-before sneaking foreward to peek her head out of the small opening.

What she saw scared her. Her grandfather bucking around in the air with that stranger on his back-made her freeze and stare. That smell-it must have been coming from the stuff all over her grandpapa's chest. She smelt the ground outside the entrance. There were little dropplets of blood there, and she looked at them curiously.

Umo, as soon as he brought himself down onto the ground-caught sight of Ukoo's little head peering out and he felt panic flush his face and throat. Get inside Ukoo.. Stay in there
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 7:59 am

Landing firmly on the small of his back he tore through his flesh like a knife through butter, and with a moment to spare he tore his teeth along the spine of the larger lion; when the lion attempted to shake him off he used the momentum against him, and ripped a mouthful of flesh from his rump, blood splattered in Ukoo’s direction, and if Ukoo didn’t move she would have her grandfathers blood rain down on her.

Landing a few meters from Umo the wolf landed with a growl, shaking the fur and flesh that was in his mouth side to side violently. He dropped it and his muzzle and face was soaked in his enemies blood. Watching the lion he growled, eyes fixed on his pray, and teeth bore. His muscles shook with rage and anger, would the lion move forward to fight? Or would he talk, it was obvious the wolf had his enemy beat with sheer fighting abilities, all Umo used instinct Tu used learned skills and abilities. This wasn’t the first lion to wolf fight he’d had, and wasn’t the first fight he had solely against a lion. He’d spread his name across the land, and lions protected their cubs at all costs. Loosing sleep, hunting less, and making their lives miserable, Tu had instilled fear into many lions, and made sure when he left that those lions would always look over their shoulder.

To stood watching Umo and a small devilish grin spread across his fangs, the lion took a lot of damage, but it’d take so much more to bring his large mass to the ground. Umo’s wounds where nothing more than a person falling off their bike and sliding across the pavement… Nothing broken, but the flesh. ”This fight… has ended. Because you know if you continue to fight, I’ll continue to dance across your flesh until it falls off, and then you’d be forced to watch me consume your… little darlin’.”

Umo roared in agony-his head tossed back into the air, claws extended and ready for the wolves flesh. Pain made his mind swim-but the fact that Ukoo was there-that she would be hurt-made his pain emerse into the depths of his mind-making his fury and his anger push himself farther too protecting his grandchild. He felt the skin tear and he was releived to at least have that monster off his hide. He spun, his a** end standing towards the log. He panted, feeling blood drip down his back legs and he shivered-he hated that feeling. He bore down his muzzle at the wolf-his eyes blazing.

This creature had so much hate and it burned Umo to know that-if Tu could-he would kill Ukoo and Umo's family. Fat chance-since there were more than 15 members of his family together at this moment and-Ukoo seemed to be the only one who left. He would have to hand her over too his daughter for scolding.

He snarled and drew back his teeth into a smile. Think what you will dog-but you know I could have eatten your viscrea long ago-if I so willed it.

And you will not touch my 'darling'... ever.

Ukoo sucked back into the log at her grandfathers order-wiggling back until her tiny form pressed against the farthest part of the tree-away from the fighting and fear and pain. She stared at the opening, hearing her grandfathers thundering footsteps-and her own beating heart. Her wandering around was getting her no where and it was starting to show on her form-she was a bit skinny, didn't sleep-didn't eat really. She was a mess.

She cooed too herself, trying to ignore the sounds of the two scrabbling outside. She could hear them talking about her and she trembled-at thinking what that wolf could do-what the cheetah she had met not long ago-could do. She shook her head and slunk slowly over too the opening-peeking out but not exiting the log. She could smell that funny smell again.
