Here are the 9 Muses, for those of you who don't know Calliope (Kalliope), is the Muse of eloquence and epic or heroic poetry Clio (Kleio), is the Muse of historical and heroic poetry Erato, the Muse of lyric poetry, particularly love and erotic poetry and mimicry Euterpe, the Muse of music and lyric poetry Polyhymnia, the Muse of sacred hymn, eloquence and dance Terpsichore (Terpsikhore), the Muse of dancing and the dramatic chorus, and later of lyric poetry (and in even later versions, of flute playing) Thalia, the Muse of comedy and pastoral poetry Melpomene, the Muse of tragedy Urania (Ourania), the Muse of astronomy and astrology
