Marahute hadnt seen her brother or her sister in so very long. It gave her a pang in her heart but she dismissed it by shaking her mane.
Her golden mane hung about her creme colored neck. The wind had dropped so the heat had become almost unbearable. It was most ridiculous.
Her tail beat against her hide as she tried to brush the flies from her pelt.
Flies, the bother of the world. She hated them, and bit at them as they flew off her body.

She had become somewhat of a hermit, not really exploring anymore, nor did she travel to meet anyone new. She had kept to the field her birth had been in. Something about this place gave her peace and she felt secure. Safe.

But she was alone. For the most part, she didnt ever truly see any kind of Soquili running about with the heat this sweltering.
Sure, she was sitting waterfront, in front of the small stream that trickled mid-field, but the water didnt help the dry heat around her body.
Emerging her face into the water, she raised her neck, letting it trickle down her neck.

For the most part, that had been the best move. She felt good now, and the heat had subsided.
But GOD! She wished someone would come around today..

He hadn't been around quite so much as his companions and family were accustomed to. Having already had children and having sampled the flavours of the world in terms of female company he had gone in search of something more substantial. His uncle, the fiery phoenix known as Grencia had warned him of such changes and while he had ignored the wise words he had to (from this day forward) admit that he was indeed wrong - some stallions simply were not meant to remain players for the rest of their lives.

Hell, that didn't stop him from appreciating female company nor the beauty and grace they possessed but pursuing them as a sport was slowly but surely drifting into a predictable habit. It wasn't that he was bad at it, on the contrary during his wanderings he hadn't failed once in acquiring company but the fact remained that he just didn't want to settle down right now. It was almost as though his aunt had been right when she had mused during one of the evenings that change was rife in the air.

What she had meant by that always evaded him, he wasn't entirely certain but he had a hinting suspicion she had been correct. An odd tingle often went up his back, made him shudder in the most unlikely of ways and yet he wasn't completely uncomfortable. Recently on a subconcious level he had more often than not shifted his attention away from a pretty female and on to something more constructive. Whether it be a meal or to bathe, both took preference over flirtation in his current state of mind.

One might have accused him of maturing!

Nevertheless, popping his equine lips as he wandered into what could only be described as 'familiar' territory, the tall stallion took the opportunity to survey his surroundings. Nothing had changed in the years he had wandered, the fields were very much the same save for the fact that his now rippling brown shoulders could comfortably brush over the tall grasses.

Ah how long had it been?

Smiling pleasantly, he recalled some of his earliest memories within this place and shook his head. In a way he missed those days, he was permitted to be as free and wild as he desired provided he stayed within range of his family. But now? Well he had a 'family' of his own, three beautiful daughters with all seemingly coupled already!

Ha and here he was without a mate at all, he had brought it on himself though.

Dismissing these thoughts the stallion flicked his tail against his flank to dismiss the flies from it and continued to walk...

*Well here he was leaving his love lone so that she could sleep, the idea of him expecting was enough to make a mind spin. Insisting on not taking to the skies on account that he would more then likely get distracted and dive into the ground, breaking his neck for sure. No, he couldn't think of anything like that, he couldn't. He had to be there when his kids came, when the large family he dragged himself into was to grow even larger...

Many thoughts had crowded his mind, that the wind hadn't noticed that he had crossed into the home of his love's family. Namely Esper and her mate's territory at the very least. He didn't know much about their family, he hadn't met everyone. He knew that Tsa had a brother, but little else of her siblings, then again... He hadn't met many of her extended family either, that was something else to make a head spin, if let.*

"Well, if I'm here, might as well see if anyone else is." The wind muttered to himself as he looked around with the golden sight of his fathers'. His wings keeping close to his sides as to not become caught in anything...

Marahute lifted her head from the stream again, her head trickled with the traces of the crystal droplets.
Her eyes caught on the sight of a brown and gold stallion, and there was no mistaking that pelt, or those eyes. Or that smile.
Smiling widely, she jumped up from her perch, legs carrying her at great speeds to teh point where her brother was.

"Biscuit!"

She called, running to him.

Well how odd was that? She had just been thinking about him, and about her whole family of course. But this was perfect. She could ask him of his life!
And then scowl at him for not coming to see her sooner.
Maturity didnt mean leaving your family behind, specially one as close as the Esperanza and Tai family.
She was sure they were the closest around.

Kicking up her hooves, she greeted him by gently nosing his neck.

"I have missed you terribly!"

No matter where he went he always bumped into a family member without fail - it was an understatement to say that his family was an extensive one. Always prepared to accept another into their embrace, it was continually growing through adoptive siblings and natural births. In all honesty, it was a wonder the poor stallion even remembered everyone's name but given he had been raised in such an environment he had adapted accordingly.

All the same, as his sister appeared he couldn't help but raise a brow in response. Now here was a mare who seemed to enjoy avoiding everyone as of late, not once had he bumped into her while growing up and all the while there had been reports that she had been overly rebellious. Ah, but slowly but surely the calming influence and blood of his mother was seeping into the veins of himself and his siblings...they were all maturing.

She certainly seemed more settled and with a small toss of his head he returned her nuzzle with an affectionate one of his own. If there was one thing he was not against, it was demonstrating affection for his family - he loved them all even if they went spare at his preferences!

"I have'nae been gone tha' long," he pointed out gently, canting his head to the side, "I jes' be wanderin' the northern slopes a bit much, how ye been keepin' eh?"

*Stopping, Andy looked around at his surroundings, things weren't looking too familiar to where his home was, Now he realized how far he had gone. Well at least he was in a homeland that he vaguely knew, it was where Esper and her mate resided, their children as well he supposed besides Tsa of course, she chose to live with him. His wings fluttering at his sides, Andy pressed on to where he could hear voices.

This made Andy shop again, he knew one of the voices and it made his ears twist back against his skull, Biscuit... Tsa's brother and the one that made he prove that he was able to court his sister. Shaking his head, Andy continued until he was at teh edge of the clearing that the pair were in. He spotted Biscuit with another mare and they seemed to be getting along... Either he was trying to convince this one of being his lover or they were related, he couldn't tell which, but there was a small family resemblance... Andy just couldn't see it, for now he remained quite and in the shadows.*
