Being rather... 'playful' today, he had chased a few females here and there. They did not seem to think much of it and left him to do their own stuff leaving him alone again. He could always find them again later if he had wanted but, there was no point in chasing when he was being the chased. The young adolescent male strode the Pride Lands proudly as his homeland and the place where he will always be, and most likely found. His golden fur shown in the sunlight through delicate care and ritual cleanings. His eyes always vibrant and full of life as he seeked out other females to talk to and possible woo. He had planned to find particularly two females that he liked the most and grace them with his presence, but his search, or rather their's, was becoming rather fruitless. He was in no rush.
Zeki stopped upon a hill, the sun high above at its venith of the noon time. The herds were gathering to drink and graze as it was every day. The hunters stalked the grasses for their meals as the vultures perched and waited upon the nearby tree. As for him, he had picked off his meal earlier before the noon rush and cleaned himself of the dirt and blood that got upon his fur. No use looking like a pigsty otherwise females would rather run from him than come.
Today he was hopping to meet someone special. Perhaps one of the females that he hoped to become a repeating face in his life, or maybe an old friend. Ophos was in the graveyard, being of age, he was either seeking his own mate or stuck with pack duties. Being a rival species, they shared a strong bong. Leji and Pam, he had not seen either of them in ages so it came to the conclusion that they had their own lives now rather than toying with a dangerous hyena and a lion of the Pride Lands. It seemed like it was just yesterday that he was playing with them, but life went on.
Flopping over in the grass, herds and hunters so far away that the only sound he could hear now was the occasional chirp of a bird, the breeze rustling the grass, and the quiet breathing. It seemed so peaceful, it seemed like the ground wanted the Pride Lands to be like this. To be peaceful as it has for so long. He had never really believed that the earth could feel, but it felt as if something wanted everything to be alright and serene. The Pride Lander laid there, sprawled in the grass, warming up with the sun.

Unfortunately the young Pride Lander's peaceful day was going to be abruptly disrupted, the form of a very large adult goddess was wandering through the grasses, trying her very best to keep away from the party of hunters and not far off the earth was chirping with the gossip of a small gathering of females, that she would undoubtedly avoid. The sun showed on her wings and caused reflective shimmers on the earth, her pelt was dirty and barnacles clung to peices of fur. She was on a mission, and she did not think to clean herself of the reminents of her cave. Her purpose for being in these lands was clear, find the boy..where ever he may be, and allow him to see that she exists, and see what he knows of her. She may be a Goddess, but she had little self esteem in this matter...mortals were hard, and then there was the fear he had died quite young.
Boma'burudi was not fond of the silence the earth had in these lands, the gigantic peaking rock that the pride's royals and other family members lived in forced many rocks to be silent and respectful almost in awe of the great rock surface. In frustration she grunted and shook out her wings causing a cacophony of metal on metal, the sound of an ancient battlefield as swords struck one another. She loved the eerie sound and especially loved he way mortals reacted to it. It was loud, obnoxious but it was hers she'd never heard anything like it.
She walked musing about he cub, and where she might find him, how old would he be now, a young adult no doubt, was he a hunter? Did Kubwa, the white lion treat him well? She was sure that he would he was sweet and tender...but how would he react to her wanting to see their child? Her brain swam with ideas and fears as she trotted on now and then shaking out her wings and stretching them.

That sound . . . That sound . . . It was hard to tell what it was, but it was eerie and yet intriguing. He sat upright and gazed around the Pride Lands. The herds seemed fine, still gazing and ever so blissful of their lives. That is until the hunters moved on and caused a panic. It was amusing but it was just a distraction. The sound sounded like rocks hitting against one another, but not quite. It's harder, clearer, and much more shrill. It was like Hidaya's singing voice, but it was sharper, and more... more... the word was hard to describe. The male's eyes glanced to find nothing. A little frustrated, that he could not find it, his curiosity was getting the better of him.
Curiosity killed the cat. He thought. But I'm a lion...
The adol got to his feet, smirking slightly as he felt rather smart with that witty come back... to himself. Regardless, he prowled his home lands for this alien sound that was too foreign to be natural. Somewhere in his mind, he already knew the answer considering the number of them he had met.
Ezekiel walked just as his uncle, strong, proud strides. His fur as clean as glossed obsidian. His eyes piercing and soulful, peering at every passing female with a smirk or a smile, if lucky, both. He was still young, but he had a training of a lifetime in such a short session that he was confident to show it off.

Boma'burudi lifted her two toned eyes while listening to the earth, they spoke of someone coming. Her eyes fell into Ezekiel and she stopped her walk immediately, he was young and his markings were quite familiar but she was not sure how. He was not her son, but may be around the same age, hoping to get information out of the young pridelander, Boma'burudi cleared her throat and fluttered her wings again creating the eerie noise.
"Hello, young mortal, I was wondering if you could help me out," her voice was gravely like the sound of two pieces of the earth meeting one another. She flashed an awkward smile towards the young pridelander and images of Kubwa drifted through her mind and his cute childlike innocence, she had taken that innocence hungrily and where was the adult now? Surely he was much old, she herself had grown, ahh the thoughts that come when you look at one mortal you see them all.

"Greetings, MiLady Goddess, how may I-" Slowly his eyes caught themselves on one of the gems fixed on her wings. One by one he looked at them, "... help you today..." he finished as he drew them to her eyes.
Wow...
Her eyes were more alluring than any of those darn jewels she bore upon her wings. Her features seemed rather plain but still hold true elegance like the Goddess of the Lost. However, he found himself much more attached to the eye candy designs and markings like those of Nix and Rage and Mtima. Though after meeting the Goddess of Souls, he was quite intrigued with the idea of a mortal-immortal family.
"Please excuse me but may I ask you, what be your name, MiLady Goddess?" He bowed his head in respect, "My name is Ezekiel, Zeki if you please." He was given no time to properly introduce himself. No time to examine her more carefully. He had no time to compliment her, but he was confident that he could woo her into a friendship.
At the very least, a feather.

She puffed up her chest proudly knowing that the mortal had stopped mid sentence to admire her. She ruffled her feathers causing the same cacophony of sound and smiled happily, of course she would love to tell him her name, but admiring him had caused her to loose track of her thoughts, he was young, certainly the same age her mortal was when she left him, a strapping young male, hunger rose in her but she pushed it away, she had a mission.
"I am Boma'burudi, goddess of the earth's womb, Zeki, it is a pleasure to meet you," She bowed her head, but kept her eyes on him as she did so, mortals may be lovely but they were also tricky.
"I'm wondering if you could help me? Do you know many in these lands?"

"Aye, the pleasure is mine, Lady Boma'burudi," with another graceful dip of his head and a sweet smile. She was gorgeous female, in fact, it seemed like the gems were unnecessary. She was already beautiful without them. Goddess of the Earth's Womb. What was that all about? What sort of domain was that? Lightning, Soul, Lost, Desert, Tornado, and Rage were domains, this one confused him a bit. Or rather, made him think more.
"I know many here in the Pride Lands. I am a member of this pride and a loyal one to that," he chuckled as he watched her look at him. Was she staring?
"What is it that I may help you with, Lady Boma'burudi?"

She looked away from him as she spoke thinking of Kubwa and their offspring, if he was infact still alive he would probably be the age of Zeki, possibly a little younger. It made her instantly feel like she was flirting with her own son and at the thought made her skin crawl.
"I am looking for a lion, he is white with a band of cream aroun his leg, he's much older than you, although still very young for a father, his name is Kubwa, do you know of him or his family?" She knew it was a long shot, but worth a try and it gave her time to practice her skills with mortals, she had disdained them, hating their every breath but she was slowly warming to them, and that was a very good thing.
"I will understand if you do not know him, this lovely land is very large!"

"I am afraid I did not get any chances to meet him, Lady Boma'burudi. But it sounds like he is a nice male," he paused. Was she like Mtima'safi with her mortal family and seeking Ezeoha for his cubs. Did this Goddess have any ties here? He smiled and raised to his feet.
"But I will be able to help you look for him, Lady Boma'burudi. I was able to help Lady Mtima'safi find the male she was seeking, so perhaps I can help you as well," he nodded and smiled again.
"If it isn't too much trouble to ask, Milady, but would you mind if I have one of your feathers?" Zeki's ears fell back against his skull, feeling a little shy to ask the question to start with. They were beautiful feathers, but they were hers to give. He wasn't going to ask for which to take as he had no idea if they would hurt her or affect her ability to fly. The sound they made still intrigued him.

"Thank you anyways, dear mortal, but I don't think looking would be necessary, it was quite the long shot asking, this pride is so very very large, and the earth tells me little about his whereabouts," she smiled warmly at it but it quickly disappeared at his request to have one of her feathers. The audacity of this mortal! Her face changed to one of anger and she struggled to control her temper.
"You should be careful, mortal, making a request of a god can get you killed," she did not need to add that he was lucky she was not the killing type, "I'll give you a feather, but a feather as a warning, a reminded of sorts not to try a god's patients, no matter what the circumstance."
she shook her wings and the usual sounds did not appear instead a single silver feather fell like a leaf falling from a tree, almost in slow motion. The feather was not one of her prettier ones, it was one from within that she was going to molt anyways, it had a dull sheen to it and a cracked emerald close to it's roots. She did not move to pick it up merely backed away from it and Zeki.
The Earthmother, very afraid that her temper would get the best of her decided this was a very good time to leave indeed, maybe at another time she would speak with this mortal again, but for now she needed to leave him.
"Another time, take care, Zeki," she murmured and took another step backwards, waiting to leave until he turned his back on her.

"The Pride Landers are numerous and the Pride Lands are vast. Seeking to find this one lion would prove difficult, but you'll find out that we are rather close. Certainly someone within the pride knows of where this male is, Lady Boma'burudi," he replied. It seemed like everything was going alright, as if nothing was wrong but her sudden scowl made him hesitate however not showing it.
"I should have added 'please' to the request. I have made quests like this to a few that I have met and all seemed nice to confer. Perhaps not all Goddesses are so willing to part a piece of themselves. I'll keep that in mind..." The male reached down and pulled the feather toward him and watched her take steps back. Was she retreating?
"I'll keep the feather as a warning, if that is what you want. I'll remember our conversation, Milady," he replied before bowing again in respect. Without much more but a smile, that silver feather clenched between his white, sharp teeth.
"Same to you, good luck finding this male of yours," with another bow, he turned to leave and put this feather away in a safe place.

She found him to be far too calm for such a threatening facial expression but did not want to seem as if she was weak, she was pulling back so that she would not attack him, her claws instinctually flexed outwards and she pulled them in quickly trying to calm herself.
"You'll realize that great care should be taken, especially if you find a god that does not take kindly to mortals, you're luck I've changed my ways, take care, Zeki, little mortal."
She backed up again and the turned her back, he was quite young but did not strike Boma as violent. She started her journey towards a very important place, a place she felt sure to find Kubwa at, unfortuantly she'll be seeing him much sooner than anticipated. As she walked she pulled a glamour over herself to look more mortal, it was best to stay more hidden, don't want a mortal asking for a feather again.
