Marius was often used to th company of females. They made for interesting conversation, and they seemed much more comfortable with him then with others, just as he them. Males... It was always simply "hello" and "good day"... Plus the view wasn't as nice. He had never thought twice about his nearly pure companionship with the mares, but this day he was. He had been blind to their underlying tones when speaking to him, their movements... All until he had met Neve. She had done those things naturally when speaking to him, but why? What was the point?

He glowered, looking down at his reflection in the stream's water. He kept his nose close, his breath rippling the water, his body glued to the grund beneath him. Mares were much more than pretty, conversationable things. They were confusing beyond belief! He flicked his tail with agitation, hoping a nap would overcome him soon enough.

The water began to ripple a bit, as another form touched it.

"Well, doesn't this bring back memories..." a mare's tone called softly from about two yards away. Her hoof rested in the water, her silver eyes staring at the other's reflection. She smiled.

Marius... He'd grown, just as she had. And in her mind, he looked.. quite amazing. Coal black coat... ivory mane, light cyan swirls... a dark cyan glow beneath. Quite a stunning Stallion, indeed.

Obviously in his family, he'd gained the looks... without a doubt in her mind, even if she'd only once before met one of the Stallion's family members...

At the familiar voice, Marius kept his head on the ground, but looked out of the corner of his eyes in the direction of the voice in a boyish manner. If he had not recognized it and knowing it were a females, he would have grimaced ad looked up. He could not find it within himself to deal with another pretty face, one that would confuse him beyond belief. And this was Analae. He did not find her cute as a foal, so--

He blinked hard as he looked at her, and he lifted his head a bit. "Yeah, it does... But I don't remember you being so tall!" He offered with a grin. Their first meeting was awkward. She talked of his brother, and it sent most things downhill. Plus... She didn't look the way she did now. She had certainly gotten taller, and her mane and tail were loooong. He had not noticed the vines and flowers adorning her body before. Then again, as a foal, he didn't notice much outside his mother and his solitude.

He wondered if Elendighet had grown into such a mare herself.

"Just down here for a drink I'd suppose?" He called, brows raised as he watched her.

Analae grinned a bit at the other's words. "Mmm, I suppose,... I really had only come over to greet the past, if you get what I mean," Her tone was cool... much less harsh, sly, ad deceiving from when she was a cub. Much calmer.

She eyed him for a long moment, before finally looking to the water. She closed her eyes, bending down to take a drink, her mane falling down, dipping into the water, even the little braid in her bangs getting wet.

Her hoof rested slightly in the stream, the water soaking into her grayed fur. She paused from her drink, opening her eyes, and looking over at the other, eying him quietly.

He rose a brow at her tone, not necessarily understand what she meant. "You mean like a walk down memory lane?" He inquired. Did their meet as foals count as a pleasant memory to the mare? He watched her, knowing very well how her eyes lingered on him. His gaze became guarded along with his expression, unsure of what she was looking at. He looked the same as he had as a foal - no different!

She was drinking now, and with her movements... He had not noticed te little braid on the side of her head, or the length of her neck. It bothered him throughly that he was looking at his childhood aquaintances like this, and quickly glanced away, calculating his thoughts. Her movements were a tad exaggerated... Much like another mare's. His eyes widened in realization and looked back to her, his brows furrowed and he inclined his head forward, scrutinizing her, "What're you doing?"

She blinked.
"...I'm doing something?" She looked the slightest shocked.
She blinked, then shrugged. "..Nothing, I guess? What, was I making a face at you?" She raised a brow, lifting her head up to look over at him, shaking her head quickly, to move her bangs away from her eyes.

She then pondered back over his question fro mbefore. "And.. I.. guess so...?" She shrugged. Whatever.

He kept a stoic expression as she responded. Was she so oblivious to her actions, trying to do what that one mare did? Trying to charm him? He considered her with guarded eyes, his brow furrowed. No... She wans't. Why would she? They were simply aquaintances, well put. But then again, he did not know Neve at all, and she moved in such a furiating way...

He shook his head, quickly averting his eyes, "N-No," he fumbled, frowning inwardly at himself. He was getting too paranoid about his female companions... Too much fr his own good. "You weren't. I just thought there may have been an ulterior motive to you coming here, that's all," he partially lied, the words foreign on his ears. He had never lied before, but it was best ot to show his confusion. She could take it as a weakness.

The mare couldn't help but to cough a little laugh.

"Marius.." she breathed out his name once, until her laugh subsided. "You aren't good at lying, Marius..." she said, nosing him once on the cheek, before turning to the water, once again, putting her hoof in the water, watching as it made a sort of barrier,.. an obstacle for the water to find it's way around.

Analae finally raised her gaze from her short, Day Dream'y moment, to look over at him again, blinking once, for a reply.
