Well damn, Tobias should've seen it coming.
The odds of getting lost in the wilderness, having your food eaten by an evee, encountering clothes eating bushes while going for a swim in the river, and then slipping and rolling down a hill to nearly drop off a deadly cliff were extremely low. So it made perfect sense that it was exactly what had happened to Toby.
Hungry, battered bruised, but more humiliatingly - hanging from a precipice in his boxers.
He felt for the poor fool who stumbled across him at any point. He felt even more sorry for himself when he went splat on the ground below.

Somewhere in the nearly endless spiral of chaos that was dealing with her stupid brother, Razalin managed to find time to actually do her job. It proved difficult. The job itself was not to blame for giving her problems, it was trying to find a place to work.
Not many trainers had come to these lands yet. The Pokemon Center had tons of free time on it's hands, and as long as they had more than enough room to heal injured Pokemon, there... really wasn't much for her to do. So, it was off to the forest! Where, she suspected, she may come across a lost trainer with an injured Pokemon that needed immediate medical attention. (A pipe dream, but...)
What she actually found was a half-naked man hanging upside down. She stared at him blankly.
Just walk away.
So, she did. She did try to, anyway. She would have if he hadn't landed on the ground and gotten Van's attention. It wasn't that the Ninetales really cared about the poor guys current state, it was just that he'd been around a long time. A long, looong time, and he had never seen anything like this. Curiousity, not surprisingly, got the better of him.
"Nine?" He poked at the limp body with one paw, wandering if the male had died at some point.
A defeated sigh was Razalin caving. She walked over and stood beside her Pokemon (regretablely), cletching the bag handle that held her medical kit. She was a Pokemon doctor, damn it! Why did she have to deal with this?
"Hey, are you... alive?" Originally, she intended to say 'okay', but that'd just be a stupid question, now wouldn't it?

My spleen! Back, legs, arms, brain, nose, whatever, it ALL hurt. The humor wasn't coming in leaps and bounds, it was slowly trickling like the brain matter out of his ears. Perhaps he was overexhaggerating a little.
He groaned and rolled over, half expecting that crazy arse woman to be beaming at him with windex in her hand. No, instead, he was blinded by the ugliest hair in the world.
"Oh, oh god," he moaned and shrunk away as best he could, waving a hand around to try and rid the smelly ninetails away while he was at it. Well, yes, he was alive, and no, no he wasn't sure he wanted help. The last time he got that. . .
Gritting his teeth together he attempted to sit up, that was a big mistake. "Ow, ow ow, s**t, s**t." His bottom hurt, too.

Razalin was sure she could read people. This wasn't near as true as she gave herself credit for. Even if she couldn't, in truth, read them at all, she still had sirens going off in her head. The warning kind screeching, 'a*****e! a*****e!'
Shame he wasn't dead, she couldn't help but think. Why did she always end up dealing with things like this? With a oh-woe-is-me sigh, she, very carelessly, 'helped' him down. And by helped, she made it so he could fall then let him.
Her medical kit plopped down on the ground beside. "Hold still."
