[[Carried on from the Changing seasons Event forum, currently Silren and Pickle, peeps are welcome to join!]]
VG Cat It was certainly entertaining, watching Pickle and seeing all his curiosities unfold, feeling his warm touch again as he nuzzled his cheek again. Silren let another purr escape before the young dragon was distracted by the reflection of the golden sun on the seawater, darting off in that direction. From Pickle's running back and forth between the water and Silren, he concluded that he wondered if he would like to follow. With a nod of his head the older blue dragon stood and followed with as much enthusiasm as the sandy dragon. It seemed as if he wasn't familiar with the way the sun reflecting on the waves, and personally he thought it would be nice to 'discover' it with him, and why not with enthusiasm? Even when he was a pup he couldn't remember being this enthusiastic about a new discovery. Perhaps it was because of Anhurs reaction when they told him Silren was gay? Either way, this sensation felt liberating and new, exciting on it's own. Or maybe it was because he was with Pickle? Knowing that the other dragon couldn't speak bugged him, he wanted to know his name and wanted to be able to hold a conversation with him, it didn't matter what about. Then he remember a saying Ilmare told him, that actions speak louder than words.
As soon as he noticed Silren on the way to join him, Pickle darted onto the beach and towards the waters edge but before reaching the edge he came to a skidding halt leaving a trail in the sand behind him. Gazing out into the distance Pickles vision focused on the shining orange of the suns reflection out in the water, he wanted to go to it, it almost called to him just as Silren's eyes had previously. That older dragon... he was so shiny, Pickle could only feel happy to have his company, his pelt felt so soft, every time it caught his eyes Pickle just wanted to nuzzle against it and embrace the warmth. But those eyes, they were something else, they had a certain way about them, a way that Pickles wanted to keep and hold within him. Lost in the midst of his simple thoughts he went to step forward but flinched back as his paw touched the strange feel of the sea's water.

Silren wondered what thoughts were running through the sandy dragons head, what impression the setting sun made on him. For Silren it was the same as always, beautiful, warm. But at the same time it made him restless, it meant that night was soon to come. The older dragon didn't mind the dark of night, that is as long as there was someone else with him, he wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably if he was by himself.
Pickle's reaction to the feel of the water made him laugh. The blue dragon walked foreward, standing next to the other male. "Well, what do you think?" He didn't expect a response, at least a verbal one, for the expression on his face would say it all.

As soon as the older dragon spoke Pickles attention shot up to his face, but the expression and the look at the water he could only guess it was some sort of query, a sort of ~Whats that!?~ if the same questions was passing through the pup's mind. Now that he had a second of distraction from the initial strange feeling it didn't seem so bad, definatly different from the sand below him. placing his foot down on the sand then back in the water he processed the different textures and came to the conclusion this new wet stuff was alright in his books! Pouncing on the spot, slightly splashing Silren with his two front paw he bounded off into the water until it was almost to his belly high and ran about slashing all over the place. What a new feeling, it was refreshing! Something about whatever he was doing took away the heat of the day and was sure a fun thing to participate in! Looking back he wondered if the blue dragon would join him? had he discovered how amazing this was?

It seemed he didn't know quite what to think, even if he might not understand what the older dragon had said. So he tested it out, compared it to the way the sand felt. It was only shortly after that he had deemed it exciting by running into the water and splashing the blue dragon. Silren threw his head back in laughter. Watching him enjoy this new experience for a few moments, he joined him in the fun. Pickle was so much different than the lions he lived and grew up with, and even Ice Star. To him everything was new and exciting, and it made it feel that way for the blue dragon too. Splashing into the water, it didn't take long to catch up to the younger dragon. Forgetting about everything and having no care at all in the world for these moments Silren was in complete bliss, and in an act of euphoria, grabbed Pickle and pulled them both down into the water in a tumble in the more shallow part of the ocean, the cool water all around Silren's body as he looked at the orange and yellow sky, the sand colored male above him.

Between pounces in the water Pickle noticed that the older blue dragon was coming to join him, he turned just in time to be grabbed and pulled under. This all being new to him and all the younger dragon hadn't realized that underwater meant no breathing and as he was pulled under he took a normal breath and ended up with a mouth full of water. Quickly rising to the surface it became apparent to him that this new wet stuff wasn't entirely Pickle friendly but his friend seemed to know what to do. So using his normal thought tail of Wet stuff is bad for breathing he took a deep breath and flailed himself back under to join Silren. It seemed when his new friend was with him everything was possible and he hadn't a need to fear unknown places, objects or even the likely hood of drowning. Catching those brilliant eyes Pickle once again couldn't resist the urge to nuzzle and quite by accident picked up how to swim, and with that he shot forward with all the force of a doggy paddle directly into Silren, nuzzling his fur under the water and enjoying the close body contact.

Silren was impressed at how fast Pickle learned to swim. The nuzzle made it even more satisfying that he was the reason he learned, even if he didn't mean to. With a smile he dipped his head under the water to nuzzle him back. Curious at how well he could swim, the older dragon slowly began to swim farther out, but not too far. There was a limit at how far a dragon could go before not being able to get back to shore, and with Pickle being a new swimmer he didn't want to chance anything.

Closing his eyes Pickle enjoyed the returned nuzzle it was obvious that the other dragon enjoyed these as much as he did, by the time he opened his eyes a few seconds later his friend had started to move. Lifting his head above the water Pickle watched as Silren swam away from him, tilting his head to one side he waited until he had fully stopped then proceeded to try and run in the water only to remember it took a bit more than a run to move in this water. Letting out a frustrated "hmfph" the young dragon decided he's test the way he reached Silren before and bopped his head under the water and proceeded to doggy paddle once again straight to Silren. Looking up he realized the wet stuff was a little higher than before but his friend was here so what could possibly go wrong? As he let out a chirpy smile he noticed a few bubbles form in front of him, instantly his eyebrows lowered in surprise, where could they have come from and what were they?!

"Good job! You learned how to swim!" The older dragon said happily as his younger friend paddled towards him. He noticed however that he didn't quite understand that the deeper the water got the more you would sink and the more water you had to tread. "Oh, okay I think that's enough swimming in the deeper end. Back to the shallows." It seemed a little much for the day when he didn't seem to understand what the bubbles meant.

Watching as his friend surfaced to speak to him the younger dragon followed, once at the top of the water he splashed excitingly as he could only guess his friend was happy with him. As Silren started back to the shore Pickle went to follow but something caught his eye, right in the corner of his eye he had no idea what it was but found himself quickly turning and darting in it's generally direction. He wasn't yet the fastest swimmer there was but he had a tendency to be very accurate when stalking(what he considered playing) in the forest. So when he'd caught up with the object the seemed to swim further out he'd had no idea just how deep the water was above him. Clamping his teeth around the shiny object tat had caught his eye in the first place, to anyone else it would obviously be a fish, he began to panic... He couldn't see his friend and his throat was starting to hurt... looking up he remembered his friend had to go up to speak to him so slowly with the remaining energy he had he tried to paddle up.

Silren had headed back to the shore, water dripping off of him in sheets as he walked on the beach. The blue dragon shook his body, water droplets flying off his fur in every direction. Smiling he turned to see his friend behind, at least that's what he expected to see. Pickle was no where to be found. "Hello?" He called, looking around him. Silren didn't know what his name was, as Pickle seemed incapable of speaking and couldn't tell him what his name was. "Where are you?!" Quickly he ran back to the water, looking down and wading out. In panic he shoved his head bellow the water to look, and saw him farther out, in deeper water, trying to swim back to the surface. Silren himself wasn't the fastest swimmer, but now he swam faster than he ever had before, reaching the sand colored dragon and biting the back of his neck to help pull him to the surface faster.

With the help of Silren he managed to push himself up to the top where upon breaking the surface he snorted in a fine gush of air. That was much better. He shook loose of his friends help and turned to face him, still with shiny object firmly in his grasps the corners of the mouth turned up ever so slightly in a weak smile. With all the energy it took to catch the fish then swim up to surface the young adult dragon was starting to feel quite dizzy and started loosing his paddles in the water, with that he started to bob in and out of the sea. Trying his best he slowly fought with the waves and attempted to make his way back to the shore.

"So that's what you were doing! Chasing a fish! Good job!" The blue dragon was impressed, he'd never tried to cath a fish before but he knew it wasn't a piece of cake or anything close. Silren could tell that his friend was beginning to get tired, his paddles had less energy and he was bobbing in the water. "You better hold onto that tight if you don't want to lose it." He said before he dunked back beneath the water to come back up underneath him, letting Pickle hitch a free ride if he wanted to as they made their way back to shore. He hoped they'd get there soon, the further out to sea he was the more nervous and scared he would get.

Draping his arms around his friend, Pickle held on and gladly accepting the help offered. Kicking enough to keep himself afloat with Silren he gazed out to his sides and admired the sun setting into the sea. The colors swirled in distant parts as the remains of the days sun reflected down into a spectacular light show making Pickle feel tranquil, as they started to approach the beach it seemed that everything had stilled just for the two. The strongest part of the Dragon was his jaw, clamping the weakly flailing fish, it was his catch and his, besides his friend seemed to be excited by it so there was no chance he'd loose it now. Laying his head down on Silren's rump Pickle let out a sigh and decided to enjoy the moment's before reaching the sandy beach.

From a far a pair of eyes had been watching the goings on between the older blue male dragons and younger olive dragon in there afternoons activity. She hadn't meant to... she wasn't some kind of spy but ever since they came running out of the tree's she'd just.. you know... hid. Whatever they were doing at the time she hadn't wanted to interrupt and she should of left but watching the two had been beautiful. In all her time here she'd not seen anything this touching to watch, the more she stayed the more she feared to move, what if they saw her? They were both much bigger than her she could make that out even from this far away, she could run... but the olive dragon had already proved he was fast and agile. Not wanting to be accused of being some kind of freak stalker and fearing her explanation wouldn't be acceptable she just figured she'd not risk it.
It wasn't till the younger one unexpectedly disappeared in the water and the older blue male had rushed to find him did she even remember she was hiding. At first she'd taken the actions as a game but when she noticed the length of time the littler one had been missing for she realized something must of happened, nervous about what she was seeing she still kept still. Letting out a sigh she took note as the two re-appeared and swam back to shore but was he alright? The nervous feelings started to turn into fear again and confusion on how to deal with this, she was still in the same place her stomach was starting to growl due to emptiness and the two male dragons where approaching quickly... Should she help the apparently hurt dragon... or stay under cover until the two moved on? What if they didn't move on, the little one was hurt they could set up camp here... She'd be stuck in the same place... The thoughts carried on flowing in riot around her head, an abyss of panic threatened to show itself and her breathing was beginning to quicken.
Oh bother....
