Deconstructing their hold...I am one of the rarities when it comes to guitar playing. Yup thats right . I'm a black guy! But that doesn't mean that i cant shred as good as any white and/or Asian guy. (well better than most at this point) I've been going strong for about 3 years, and I don't plan on stopping.
take that, tomobugg. biggrin it's just for fun, don't be mad at me, please. <33
anyway, I'm considering getting a Dime-O-Flame ML.
is this a win idea? y/n
i was in Guitar center all day yesterday with a buddy of mine, and we pulled out some ibanezes, some schecter 7 strings, and whichever guitar we thought looked coolest, and sat down in front of 2 line 6 spider 3 amps, and just started trading licks.
apparently, my buddy LOVES those goshdamn gibsons. i picked up a white finish les paul and put it back because i hated it. i grabbed the dime o flame ML with the trem and we were off.
i learned that I'm the crazy sweep/shred/ Michaelangelo Batio style player, and he's more like the classic rock/funk riff/pop rock type player.
we gotta write for out band now biggrin haha
and i want that ML, that spider 3, and that digitech whammy i was ******** with it PWNS. Our vengeance will be tenfold
 It's okay.

Personally, I think you should get a Razorback Explosion. Just better, in my opinion. But, whatever suits your fancy and can shred like hell. mrgreen

I think the Dime-O-Flame looks awesome. And excellent choice in guitar. I have the same one that's in your sig :3 It's pretty popular too, there's another person at my school with it XD

Well, I'm a black AND female guitarist. X3 Take that!
I'm self taught though so I don't really know all the facts about guitars yet. But I love the sound Les Pauls make. I'm thinking of getting an epiphone Les Paul copy though since I could never afford a real one. o_O

Um, sorry to break it to you, but black guys aren't really that rare in the guitarist world...At least not in my experience. sweatdrop

of course not.
nut they are in the METAL world.
there are like 12 black people in the mainstream metal genre in GENERAL.
like mike smith, most of God forbid, like 3 other people, and that's it.
then again the point of my thread was satire, Lethkhar. duh.

You're not rare. I'm black too. My avi is just white. I wouldn't get a Dime guitar. I have an original Dime Washburn V and I don't even like it anymore. I think if you're into shred music, try the Steve Vai or John Patrucci Ibanez's. Those are completely equiped for shred music. Dimarzio Pickups, Slim maple necks, and light bodies. What else do you need?

ML's are awesome. They're fast and do great with palm mutes. The flame looks great, but if you can afford an explosion then get it.

That sounds like a good setup. I usually go for sound in a guitar first, then take looks into account. I prefer Gibsons when I'm playing Anything but metal, but I go Ibanez for metal. As for the amp and whammy, good choice but I think crybaby wahs are the best.
