See, my best friend is a huge fan of musicals, mostly on Broadway. So he plays a song from Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and I nearly died of shock.
So.. go listen to this song now. It's a song made 'specially for the stage version.
Clicky for awesomeness Just to be forewarned, it's a silent fanvideo for the show House. It's somewhat of a House/Wilson slash, but it's just clips from the show in black&white tones or something. (I'm sorry, but it's the only thing on YouTube with that person singing it.
Now, here's the fun part. No cheating! (which means don't go looking it up and don't click the box to see who sings it) Just listen to the song, and then the first person you think it sounds like, you post the name of. I'll probably put the name in white in a separate post.
Just because I freaked when I found out who it was. 3nodding And you all will know who it is.

Wow.
I just looked his name up and he's got a trillion and one songs.
And btw, the guy singing is John Barrowman. Although now I'm feeling like a bit of an idiot 'cause I'm not a fan of musicals and didn't know this before. sweatdrop

I couldn't come up with a guess, but it sounded like the kind of stuff they put in modern era Disney movies. I can't comment if Barrowman did a good job singing or not because, quite frankly, that style of music makes me want to claw my ears off. razz

But JB is good at singing, so it wasn't as horrible. David's voice is heavenly. Ahhh, my men are quite the songbirds.

Yeah, I recognised his voice straight away. I've got a fair few musicals compilation CDs and he turns up on there a fair bit. Actor, singer, presenter.. is there anything this man can't do?!

Actor, singer, presenter.. is there anything this man can't do?! Well.. I can't say much for the Beauty and the Beast one, but there's a literal ton of songs that I've found a list of. Sheesh, it's crazy! He's a very good singer, but it really shows with the good songs. xD

Aww... I didn't get to play the game since as soon as I got to the link I clicked on it and went straight to more info without thinking...
I can't stand the song but for that kind of song he sings it pretty well.

I can't stand the song but for that kind of song he sings it pretty well. Upon further evaluation (xDD) I agree. I like the song, but it's not his style. The fact that he can hold the last note as long as the original singer attests to the fact that he can definitely sing. =3 I've listened to his two lines in the Phantom of the Opera song "Think of Me" and he's incredible with it. Also one of the songs from Aladdin.... "Proud of Your Boy". That one is good.
