Yes, so I'm currently going through a block. I can't think of anything original to draw, and haven't for the last 2 months. It's very frustrating. I think the problem is, I've been just drawing basically the same thing for a while.
Anyway, what do you guys do to overcome a block?
Also, give me weird, funky, kool ideas to try and draw? When I get suggested ideas, I draw well, it's just coming up with ideas of what to draw that I get stuck on.

I like drawing the exploits of my Dungeons and Dragons groups when I'm low on ideas.

i pick new medium, and go out into the city to find things to draw. i usually end up at the museum or in the park drawing people.
what's a medium you haven't used for a while? i recently revived my watercolours for this purpose.

When I'm in an art block, I generally will resort to doing crouqui (sp?) style sketches, little thumbnails just practicing form and dynamics that I end up never showing anyone because it's all messy nothingness. Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I'll just draw fanart for something random as a purely selfish "For me" type deal- I don't make a habit of drawing a lot of fanart, but I find it's often really fun when one is feeling swamped with too many other ideas to choose from, or not enough.
If you're really bustin' for something to draw, you could totally doodle up one of my characters if you wanted ;D [/art whorage]

I have the opposite problem. I can't stick with an idea for more than 5 mins before I want to draw something else.
I know it sounds wrong but when I'm stuck for ideas I browse around conceptart.org or DA looking at kick a** art, then when I spot something I love, like the way the light glows from behind that character or the colour scheme in this picture of what ever... then I draw something using ideas from other peoples art.
Which is probably why I don't draw in any particular style. Nothing ever comes out like the pictures I was inspired by but it gets me going.

The Artist's Way It's a book an artist in San Antonio gave to me, he says it inspires him whenever he doesn't know what to do, but it's basically a bunch of really good artistic exercises to get the creative juices flowing again.

telekitty i do stuff like alanya does, i take inspiration from other peoples stuff. sometimes i just look at someone's amazing art and i get excited and have to draw. I do that all the time. Iinevitably the only time I am browsing round the internet aimlessly is when I'm at work (clearly not working) and I can't get away with blatantly pulling my wacom out... crying
