Lazy. The right word to put how this young leopardess felt as she was lounging about on a dead hallow tree. Moss grew all over it, making it look green rather it's normally blackish brown color. The smell of rotting escaped from within the hallow tree, but had a while before it'd completely fall apart. She liked this place a lot better then where she had came. All the trees, brush, and dead plants every where. Lots of places to keep hidden if she felt as if she needed to be. Though, it made it hard for her to find others of her kind.

The whole reason she actually came here, was to find others of her kind. Though, it seemed she had failed. All hope given up. Perhaps they were more rare then she had though. She yawned and looked at the mossy ground around the mossy dead tree. Smaller creatures found themselves rather happy around this dead tree. Beatles, small mice, along with other bugs.

The sky was hard to see with all the trees in the way, though she could tell it was night time. Not that it was too dark during the day. You could tell when it was night. Most of the creatures seemed to come out then. Deer, mice, owls. Forest was alive with noise. Why everything woke up during the night, She'd never really know. Other then the fact that she could see better at night then day. She was more awake at night then anything. Especially here.

Ororo frowned lightly as he looked around. The proud male had finally accepted the fact that he was lost, and now he had to find his way out of this dark and dank area of the jungle. The area where he had come from was lush and full of life, with flowers in every colour and trees decorated with bright green leaves. Where he found himself now was almost a complete opposite.

Sighing heavily, he looked up at the canopy. Despite the fact that everything here seemed to be dead, the branches and leaves at the top were tightly weaved together, making the whole area uncomfortably humid. It was whilst he was looking up that he spotted a white figure among the trees. If he would've been closer to home, he may have mistaken it for his sister, as this figure was about the same size as her. "Hello?" Teal eyes narrowed, he moved forward in an effort to get a better look at whoever was lounging up there.

She was startled from the close noise that was made from just a little bit from her. Causing her to fall from the dead fallen down tree. "Ack!" escaped her lips as she fell only a few feet before her back paws where on the ground. Her front clinging tightly to the dead moss tree she had just been sitting on. She quickly turned her head to see what exactly had scared her.

At first she thought her eye's were lying to her. Was... Was that another leopard? And here, she looked like a complete idiot in front of another of her kind. She gave a nervous laugh before releasing her claws from the tree. "Oh! Hi..." She said fastly, still feeling like a complete idiot. She flicked her tail as she blinked a few times, still thinking her eyes were trying to deceive her.

Ororo closed his eyes and braced himself for the impact that he thought the female would have. Luckily, she had managed to grip the tree with her front legs and land safely on her hind legs. When he opened his eyes, the female was staring at him, obviously embarassed by what had just happened. "Sorry about that." He said with a sheepish grin on his face. After all, it was kind of his fault that she had fallen.

"Are you OK?" Saying that, he moved forward and briefly looked over the female. She didn't seem to be injured, so he let out a little sigh of relief. "By the way, I'm Ororo." The pink and white male had never actually encountered any leopards other than his mother and his siblings, so this was all new to him too.

The moment of embarrassment had past. She got a hold of herself and smiled at the other. She still felt rather stupid, but she didn't let it show. Plus, he didnt' laugh at her so it wasn't too bad. "Oh, no, I'm fine." She said as if nothing really happened. "I can just be clumsy sometimes." She said with a nod.

"Nice to meet you Ororo." She said as she inclined her head, "I'm Matokeo Muroki. " She said "But my mother calls me Keo." she added. It seemed like a easier name to say then her full name. She flicked her long spotted brown tail.

Ororo smiled and nodded, pleased that the female was OK. After she introduced herself, he blinked, wondering if she would be offended if he pronounced her name wrong. Considering that he couldn't even pronounce his own brother's name correctly, he had no chance of saying this one right. Thankfully though, she had a nickname. "Pleased to meet you Keo."

After the introductions, he wasn't really sure what to say. Not only was this a new leopard, it was a female, and he didn't know if he was supposed to act differently around females that he wasn't related to. Obviously his mother had talked to him about females, but actually meeting one for the first time was almost intimidating. He finally broke the silence though. "So, do you live here?"

She smiled. He seemed rather nice. A small silence between them, seemed that neither of them knew what to say to the other. She had lots of questions but didn't know exactly where to start them. Though, he broke the silence first. "No. Well, I do for now anyways." She said trying to figure out how to say it. "I mean, I have to meet up with my mother again sometime." she added.

"Sorry if I may seem a bit quiet," She started to apologize " but your the first leopard I've seen apart from my mother." She smiled weakly. "Was beginning to think there wasn't any others." Of course there was, just hard to find them. Or that's what a wild dog had told her to do. Leopards hide well, even though she didn't think she hid very well. She felt like she was a sore on a thump. Though, it seemed the other might feel the same. he was bright colors as well. Easy to see in the night.

Ororo politely listened as Keo explained her situation, before revealing his own. "That's a shame." He let out a half-hearted laugh, to hide his embarassment at what he was about to say next. "I'm actually pretty lost, and I was hoping you would be able to point me back in the right direction. I live in a very lush part of the Jungle, and I have no idea how I ended up in this dump." Straight after saying that, the pink and white leopard shook his head firmly, remembering that this 'dump' was Keo's temporary home. "No offense." He added, again embarassed by his own stupidity.

At her next comment, Ororo smiled shakily, hoping to recover his composure. "The only leopards I've ever seen are my mother, my brother and my sister." He shrugged lightly. "I knew there was others out there, but I just never bothered to look." To him, it was obvious that there would be others. After all, he had a father out there somewhere, and an auntie, both of which his mother had mentioned but never spoke of in full.

She let out a laugh as he tried to apologize. "None taken." She paused and tried to think. She didn't know where exactly she was, but she could try to help him at least. It wouldn't hurt at all. "Well, I could try to help, but I'm new to here and don't know where anything is quite yet." She felt rather stupid.

"Ah, yes." She started off. "Sometimes I can't help wonder if there were that many more or just a few." She gave a small chuckle. "Call me stupid, but sometimes one needs to see before totally sure of it." She gave a shrug another nervous laugh.

Ororo nodded and grinned. "We can help each other then." Although Keo didn't seem as lost as he was, he felt as though it was the honourable thing to do to offer his assistance. Also, he didn't really feel like admitting that he needed help from a girl. "If we work together, I'm sure we'll be out of here in no time." Saying that, he motioned for her to join him in the direction he had decided to start off in. He had come from the left, so it made sense for him to go back in that direction in the hopes of finding the place where he made a wrong turn.

At Keo's revelation that seeing is believing, Ororo let out a small laugh. "I guess that makes sense. My mother says there a plenty of leopards in the World though, just not all of them live in the Jungle. My mother actually travelled around outside of the Jungle for about half of her life, and it was only when she decided that she had done enough exploring that she settled down in the Jungle." He smiled. "I'd love to do a bit of exploring myself but..." He trailed off, his smile fading a little. "I don't really have my mother's confidence when it comes to 'this'." As he said that, he motioned towards the pink spots and markings that covered his back.

His idea seemed rather good. They could both help each other, in a way. She'd find out the area, and he'd be able to find where he needed to go. She flicked her tail and started towards him. "Brilliant idea." She couldn't help but think this male was very nice.

"Oh? I didn't live here either. I live in the desert. "She said with a nod. She would return there soon to visit her mother. She wondered if she was ok, but figured she was. "Exploring can be fun, but lonely too." She said as she remembered how it was when she was making her way here. Her mother said most leopards lived in the jungle. Perhaps she was wrong with that. Or they all decided to go exploring at the same time.

" To.. Your color?" she looked at him tilted her head. She really didn't think much of it, since her mother was a very odd color as well. "That's not too bad. My mother's got purple spots, where I've got grown." She said with a nod. "Everyone's unique in a way."

"Thanks." Ororo grinned, pleased that he had come up with a good idea. As they walked, the pale adolescent payed close attention to all Keo had to say. He had always been a very good listener, probably because his mother liked to talk a lot.

"The desert huh? Don't you get really hot?" Ororo blinked after he said that, as something about it sounded rather odd. He shook it off though, as it was a genuine question. When the conversation turned to his colours, he frowned slightly. "Pink is a girl's colour. It's on flowers, and birds, and all sorts of fruity things." He rolled his eyes. "My mother says only real males can carry pink as well as I do, but I'm not so sure."

She smiled. "It can get a bit hot, but I don't go out during the day much. The nights get very cold, but it's better then being overly hot." She said with a nod. It wasn't like it was bad out in the desert, though it was a lot nicer here, or to her anyways. Lots of shade, lovely trees, and lots of places to hide if needed.

"Oh? I don't think pink is for just girls or boys." She smiled at him. Though, she really hadn't seen any pink creatures before She flicked her tail as she walked. "But everyone's thoughts are their own and different."

"How can a desert be cold?" Ororo had no idea how that was possible, as he simply assumed that a desert would be hot all the time. Something to do with the sand maybe? "And where do you even find shade in a desert? Doesn't the lack of water make it hard for trees and plants to grow?" He hoped he didn't sound completely stupid, asking all these questions.

Ororo smiled a little as Keo attempted to reassure him about his colours. "I guess so." He chuckled. "My brother is brown, but he's a real mamma's boy. My mother can't get enough of him."

"Oh... well, I'm not totally sure, but it gets very cold at night. I guess because the son isn't there." She said trying to think of a good reason why it would be cold at night instead of warm. She couldn't come up with one though. "There's a few trees... Or I should say Cactus'" She said. "though you don't want to get too close to them, they bite." She said not sure how else to say it as if you lean up against one you get sharp pains in where ever you touched the plant.

"Oh. I wouldn't know anything about siblings." She said with a smirk. "But I'm sure if I had a few of them at least one of the, or even myself, would be like that." She wasn't sure, and probably wouldn't find out for a while at least. But now that she was older, it wouldn't matter if her mother had more.
