Post here what books are effective in ministry. Or, books that are just a good read. Or, just bump or something, no one posts enough here...

My list:
The Bible (Awesome!)
The Lie: Evolution by Ken Ham (For disproving evolution, hence the title)
The Purpose-Driven Life by ummm...that one dude....

Anything and everything by Frank E Peretti. He's so awesome! I got hooked on his books when I was visiting my cousin. She was reading 'The Oath' and I started reading it, and it was really awesome. I've read it twice.

Summary: There's a town that's governed by a dragon. When someone sins, someone informs the dragon, and that person is 'marked'. The dragon finds the person and, well, devours them. Each time a new victim emerges, the dragon gets stronger. Only God, Jesus and prayer can defeat it.

Anyway, good read.

A great book for women or girls whatever, is Captivating. I don't know who it's by because I still have yet to purchase it.

this is a good book for the fantsy lovers. it isnt really about God but it is about overcomming stereotypes and learning to look at people for their personality. its about a dark elf who travels to the surface world and has to prove that he is different from his evil kin. all the R.A. Salvatore books from the forgotten realms involving Drizzt Do'Urden are VERY GOOD.
